I am so glad I chose the IPEVO V4K document camera! I love it! Dark, forest green would not have been my first choice for color, but this is what I love about this camera: the images are crystal clear...there is no distortion or difficulty focusing whether projecting a paper or an object. Works well in either high or low light. The stand and camera are made of quality materials...the stand has a heavy, rectangular base that measures about 3.5" x 5.25", so camera does not tip over, easily. Additionally, there are three, hinged joints, which are able to lay practically flat. I could be wrong, but the stand possesses quite a bit of heft to it, so I would say it is constructed of metal. The bottom portion of the stand is made up of a hinge, followed by two rectangular rods, another hinge, followed by a single, rectangular rod, with another hinge at the top. The top hinge holds the arm containing the camera. The camera can also swivel from side to side. I'm sure there is much more I will adore about this document camera. So far, the value and quality are incredible. It's a bit late in the school year to get much use from it; however, I can't wait to use this little baby in August!

I made an x y carriage so the V4K Document Camera could be used by a person with Age-related Macular Degeneration as an alternative to a $4,000+ magnifier. IPEVO provides a free download of their Visualizer app, which provides all the camera control needed for a magnifier. The app is fully functional on an iMac with Mojave OS and has the critical functions on a PC with Windows 10.

This is my third document camera from IPEVO and the best one, yet. The main thing is the adjustable arms which can be tightened. We use it to demonstrate smartphones and tablets in our weekly YouTube live stream. I use OBS software. The new Visualizer software has a lot of lag that I haven't been able to correct. I hope they have a solution.

Camera arrived on time. I love the way it folds Flat on my desk. Don't have to drag out my homemade camera stand any longer! Plugged in, drivers loaded without ANY issue! Not sure why other folks had problems buy My Win 10 Pro install (totally up to date with all updates) loaded perfectly the first time. Tested on Skype, worked GREAT! This makes meetings over Skype more like being there than ever! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Reasonable price too!

So pleased with this camera. I'm using it at our college and it has made our presentations and lectures very successful.

I absolutely love this document camera. I use it daily because it is so easy to use and allows all my students to be able to see. I plug it in to my computer and download the app which was very easy to do then use my projector to project it onto my board. I love that I can move the arm around and the self adjust works great. My students loved seeing our caterpillars up close and it is great for math and writing as well! I highly recommend this for teachers.

My district decided to only use IPEVO so I said good-bye to my other doc cam. This one works well as picture, and video. Great for showing work to students when I am using math manipulatives and I can have on the projector. Great teaching aid.

Love this camera. I Use it for scanning pages and Books to text. Since it is 4k it has good enough resolution to do 300 DPI for OCR processing on the pages. Works with ScanTaylor, Microsoft Lens, Nuance OmniPage, and BookSorber. It comes with "Visualizer" software that works well also for taking snapshot images of pages or whatever you need to photograph. It does not have a light so you will have to backlight with some other light source. If you are shopping for Document cameras or a good webcam take note that it is 4k. Most document cameras and webcams are not 4k. Since 4k is relatively new it should be advertised as 4k. If it does not specifically say it is 4k it most likely isn't. The reason this is important is because you need around 4k to get the 300 DPI images for good OCR processing. If you use less than 4k you will have a lot more editing to do from misspelled (misrecognized) words after OCR processing and that will cost you a lot of time and frustration.

I've used several iterations of document cameras from different manufacturers. This doc cam is small by comparison to others I have used, so when I unpacked it I was somewhat skeptical about whether or not it would work and fit my needs and those of my students. I am very pleased with the performance. I also am very pleased with the quick response from customer support when I asked a question about if it was compatible with my MacBook Pro. (It is, very much so).

I would give this a 4.5 stars. My only complaints are that the cord is so short and some colors dont show that well. The picture quality is nice and my students can see the notes very well. Ladies, make sure your if you do your nails, they are looking good because it will show if they dont. Lol
