Finally! A good product!

Finally... 4th time's a charm... Just for some fun background, all I'm trying to do is power a small LED TV and blu-ray player in my RV. According to a professional watt meter, they use about 50 watts combined. Here have been my results: 1. Tried a small, fanless little 175w inverter that I acquired 10+ years ago. The equipment ran for about 10 minutes then it rebooted everything. 2. Tried a 350cwatt inverter from Harbor Freight. Worked perfectly, BUT the fan is so dang loud that I either have to lock it in the RV bathroom or put it outside and run the cable through the window. Lame. 3. A 300 watt BESTEK that shut down every few minutes, and the one time it lasted for a whole hour, it beeped warnings every 30 seconds. 4. So, it was with much hesitation that I bought this one, It was cheaper, had a lower power rating, but sounded like it had better technology. Granted, I've only used it for an hour (I will update if anything changes) but it worked flawlessly. The fan is quiet enough that you don't even hear it over the TV - it didn't get hot, didn't reset, didn't beep. Just worked. Let's hope it keeps it up!

Lifesaver!!! 5+++ stars

I bought this product on a whim and it turned out to be one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. Took the entire family to Yellowstone and was driving all day every day. My kids were able to keep all their electronics plugged in and the whining that I expected from them never came all thanks to this product! Works amazingly well even with 6 electronics hooked to it via extension cords. I didn't plug in a toaster oven or AC unit or anything but for small electronics it was a champ!!!

Runs absorption refrigerators

I bought this unit to see if it would run my RV absorption refrigerator. My refrigerator has no moving parts it is powered by a 60 watt bulb. It can run on DC or AC. Because my van has a limited supply of DC ports, I chose to use AC for the refrigerator. When I get to a campsite or a home, I can use an extension cord and plug the fridge externally. The BMC 200W Car Power Inverter runs the fridge and also has power for other stuff. So now the company can say that it runs certain types of camping refrigerators.

Don't hesitate, get this

If you are looking for a power inverter & adapter for your car/minivan/etc. stop looking & just get this. I've had several and this is the best by far. It lets you charge up your batteries and devices as you roll on down the road. Have used this while driving from GA to CA, and all around AK. Person in the minivan middle row gets easy access to power & can set up the recharging station so the 2nd camera battery is always recharging/charged and the laptop, phones, ipads, etc. are all easily getting the juice they need.

I had originally given this product a one star rating based on the fact that it did not work when I received it. However recently it was discovered that the fuse in the cigarette lighter end was blown. This was replaced and now the unit is function al. My original rating is hereby withdrawn.

Great product

I bought this for the ability to use my laptop and camera for fraud investigation work in the car. I also was able to charge the extra camera. I didn't realize how useful this was until my husband and I went from East Coast September 13th to West Coast and back to East Coast by October. This was plugged into an outlet in the car and kept my laptop, camera, charged batteries, and phones. It was amazing, awesome, the best purchase!! Love it!!

Smaller and more convenient

A smaller size than the previous power inverter that I used in my car, and more convenient to use to charge my iPhone and also use AC power for small electronics. WORD OF ADVICE: Whichever power inverter you choose, make sure that your vehicle has a convenient space for you to keep it while in use!! Two of our cars don't have a space/cubby to leave the inverter, except maybe in the center console or on the floor.

Very happy, wish I had this unit years ago

I love it. This is one of the best low-power, low-wattage, inverters that I have ever purchased. I love the 4 USB outputs and 2) 120 outlets. I only use the 120 outlets on rare occasions for certain radios and other low current items. This works great for low-power needs. (Be sure to check your watts and amps ratings. This is not to be used for high watt items). If you have high power, wattage/amperage needs, than consider getting an inverter that can handle those needs. I wish I would have bought this one years ago. I love the fact that there is an LED display showing amperage drain and available voltage to power this with. I love that you do not have to have the switch on and it's internal very quiet fan running, if you are only using the USB outputs. (If using the 120 outlets, then you have to have the switch on, and have it powered up). Which is not necessary if you're only using the USB outlets

Very useful device for your vehicle or an emergency

This is a very useful device to have on hand in your vehicle, an emergency kit, or off-grid for powering phones, laptops, chargers and more from the four USB ports and two AC outlets. The voltage and current display and a low-voltage cut-off help you from running your battery dead. I was skeptical about the claims for this device and tested it out when it arrived. My first test was to see that it would have minimal battery drain with minimal load - It ran over 24 hours powering a voltmeter and AC clock from a 12V 20Ah jump pack. In a second test it ran for three hours powering a 60W light bulb from the same 12V 20Ah pack. In both cases output was 107V and the inverter shut down when the battery voltage fell below 10.5V. Switching to a car battery the inverter powered 100W and 200W incandescent light bulb loads while maintaining 107V output. At 200W the current draw is significant and your electrical contacts and wiring need to be adequate or will heat up. The fan runs when power is applied and speeds up under heavy load but the noise is minimal.
