Amazing - I accomplished exactly what I wanted to with this device. I had a Nintendo Switch plugged into one my my HDMI ports and when I wanted to play XBOX, I had to switch the cable between consoles. That was a real pain in the a**. Now I have both consoles plugged in and can easily switch between them. I've only had this for a day, but I can confirm that this device works, and well. Picture quality and sound is dead on. I was shopping at Best Buy a few days ago and they didn't have anything like this at all. Their HDMI switch required external power and cost $50. This does not require external power and cost $10. That's a real no-brainer.

This product is excellent and does exactly what I wanted it for. All you have to do is push the little button to switch from one device to the other. I do not have enough HDMI ports on the TV for all my devices (3) to add a Firestick without unplugging another device, so I decided to share a port with the DVD player, using this device. I am doing it on 3 televisions with similar setups. I noticed some people complaining because they want a simple splitter, but, that would have to be another device, with one input and two outputs. The description is very clear, and it is not very fair to give this product a bad review just because you did not read. This is aptly named a 'Switch'/'Splitter' because it spits inputs by switching devices.

This is highly convenient for connecting two HDMI sources to a single display, OR for connecting two displays to a single source. In the latter case, the switcher determines which display to send the picture to. Either way, it's just a toggle button on the box to choose which device is connected. It's a mechanical switch, meaning that this box requires no extra power source - great for setups that don't have an extra AC plug available, like in a college dorm. No cables are included, so you'll need to already have 3 HDMI cables to make use of this. Still, if you need a simple way to get an extra HDMI device hooked up to your TV or monitor, this switcher will do the trick!

Really nice looking HMDI splitter that works VERY well. Build: Pretty sure it is made out of aluminum, if not then straight metal or steel. Very nice matte black finish with the edges filed down and polished so they are chrome, almost looks like LED strips were put on they are so bright. GoldHDMI ends on both sides and a simple plastic button to change between the outputs with light up numbers. Performance: It had no issues handling my highest bitrate 4k media and never messed up or "blinked". Metal body helps keep it cool so it did not overheat. This is a really nice looking and performing splitter. There is just no reason you have to get an ugly one to get the performance.

I'm going into this from the cable box to this using a 1ft HDMI cable, a 3ft HDMI cable from this adapter to the TV, a 10ft HDMI cable from the adapter to a 4way powered HDMI splitter, and finally from the 4way to three other TV's in the house using 3 50ft HDMI cables. All 1080p and the picture looks great! Took some time but happy I did it. If it's a short run you might not even need a booster. Definitely worth a try compared to what other brands are charging!

This little brushed aluminum splitter is amazing for various reasons. First off, if you want to use it as a small extender it works just fine and doesn't require external power. Please do note that I only added another three feet of HDMI cable on top of the 12 foot of cable I was already running. Secondly, it's incredibly easy to set up and use. I tested it with an SNES Mini and my Dreamcast's VGA -> HDMI adapter. The little button on top lets you switch between sources and the green LED shows you which is selected. Super simple and super fast. Now, the instruction manual does in fact tell you to limit the input cable to 5 meters (about 16 feet) and the output to another 5 meters. HDMI itself can go about 50 feet normally and the reason for this difference is since this device does not take external power, any HDMI signals going through it, ESPECIALLY if you're splitting it, will get weaker. I feel that for most people this shouldn't be a problem but if you plan on running devices from different rooms you might actually run into signal integrity issues if you use this. BUT for most folks you shouldn't run into any problems. All in all I really like this little device and it suits my needs pretty well (needing to switch inputs). I did a small test of splitting output and it does a wonderful job, although I don't really have a need for this function it is nice to know that it is truly a bi-directional switch. Photos attached to show that there's no blurring or image quality lost as it passes through the device!

First impression is a heavy duty metal AB switch. I like it and it does seem good quality. I purchased it to use with our SNES and NES classic consoles. My kids were swapping wires to make one or the other work. I knew at some point they would destroy the cords and/or the consoles. This was an inexpensive fix. My only hang up was the heavy duty hdmi wires coming out the front and back. The cords were everywhere and the switch is light and wouldn't stay put. I couldn't position the switch without the cords moving the switch around in the entertainment center. I ended up looping the cords together with zip ties and attaching them between the consoles to the AB switch. The loops are behind the consoles and the AB switch is in the middle. Left light means left console and right light means right console. My kids love it and its simple even for my 4 year old. The switch is now stationary and functions without issue.

My TV sits flush on the wall and there is only 1 HDMI connection on the side of the TV. The rest are on the back of the TV and once it was installed on the wall, there is no reaching those 2 other HDMI connections. This device solved my problem. I had to keep switching out the HDMI cable for the DVD player and cable box and the connection was starting to wear out. Thank you for making this product! Well made and works like a charm.

This works just great. I'm using it to combine a powered Roku stick with HDMI output and my security DVR output into one TV monitor. It just works great. It's apparently powered by the HDMI and one single button switches between the two inputs. It's well-built, doesn't feel cheap.

I have a small, older TV in my bedroom with only one HDMI port at an awkward angle. I was tired of switching out my Chromecast and PS3 HDMI cable so I decided to give this a shot. It does exactly what I needed it to do: add an HDMI port and allow me to easily switch between the two devices. It feels more sturdy and substantial than I expected it to as well. It's worth noting it doesn't come with any cables so if you don't have a spare HDMI cable laying around to connect it to your TV, you'll need to pick one up. I got a little 1ft one and it was the perfect length. I also used command strips to mount the device to the back of my TV for a cleaner look.
