Does what it should do.

I decided to order the non-backlit kindle for the audio capabilities (of course a couple of months later they release a backlit one WITH audio capabilities, but that’s just my luck...). I got this to be able to read at night, and it has helped a lot. It’s not too heavy, and it takes some moving around, but you’ll eventually find the right position for it to light the page perfectly.
