Looking for a way to plug my boats battery charger into the electrical extension cord without digging out the charger's power cord from under the boat's console. Found this product that has a male adapter that is securely covered from the elements when not in use, and easily uncovered to plug my extension cord into it when needed. I find this to be a quality product that was easy to install with the purchase of the Amazon recommended 2 inch arbored hole drill by Lenox,

LOOKS GREAT AND EASY TO INSTALL--but

I needed power in my Landscape trailer and was tired of routing an extension cord through the door. Cut a hole in the side of the trailer after drilling a pilot from the inside. Installation was quick after drilling small holes for the screws provided. Now have power inside after connecting an extension cord to the outlet. Looks good and will be weatherproof. After I read some of the other reviews I saw that some comments said that the "HOT" and "NEUTRAL" are reversed. I checked mine and sure enough they are reversed and dangerously wrong. If you connect this to an unbonded house then you will get a potential on your neutral line. I am processing a return to send back.

Installed for a on board boat battery charger so I didn’t have to keep climbing in the boat to access the cord. I like this model better than one I bought a week before although higher amperage would be better. Hardest part is drilling the hole. Don’t rush and make sure you have pilot bits so you don’t jump/walk around the surface and Mess it up. I bought stainless steel screws. The best part for me is the wide flanges for the screws. Also this model had 4 screws holes. I will order another.

Very high quality photos don't do it justice

This is just what I needed for my RV and it's even higher quality than I expected.. I'm sure it could be useful for many applications but for me it allows me to access my power inverter from the outside of my RV without having to run an extension cord every time : ) this is much more tidy it fits nice and flush has the water resistant plug and gives me easy access to power now from the outside wall of my RV

Is black or white neutral ? Excellent plug, easy install

BLACK - NEUTRAL WHITE - HOT - LOAD GREEN - GROUND Installing in a cargo trailer, you'll need to use a grinder to remove some of the rubber on back of plug. Plug is about 1/4 thicker than the average cargo trailer wall panel. Used a Dewalt grinder and carefully removed 1/4 around wire protruding out and used a drill bit thickness of the wire to drill hole interior panel. I wanted a cleaner install, didn't want to drill larger hole inside allowing plug to fit through so I cut off the plug. Drilled a hole big enough to push cord through and bought a extension cord female cord plug and wired making a clean installation. / / looking at plug, left NEUTRAL - black right HOT . Ground GREEN

Great plug receptacle for our boat

Perfect item to add a plug-in receptacle on our boat. Our boat wasn’t made with an outside plug-in & we weren’t happy having to run an extension cord thru the front hatch to have shore power. My husband ordered this nifty little plug-in along with the interior receptacle & we have power! Easy for my husband to install, works as expected. Ours has a little tab to make opening & closing the cover very easy, however, the material that the entire plug is made of is pliable enough that it would be just fine if the tab wasn’t there. Seems there’s been some questions circulating about if there’s a tab or not on the product.

Best affordable upgrade you can do

I've had it for a few months and it's held up well. Been in a lot of mud, rain and snow and it's always clean inside the port. Super easy to plug/unplug. Only thing I recommend is taking a sandwich bag or something similar and wrapping around where the cord connects to the original block warmer plug and zip tying on each end to prevent water from making contact with plug prongs and tripping your breaker. Don't ask me how I know lol

Solid product for a great price

I bought this to add a built-in charger to my kids' power wheels toys. Every day after they finish riding they know to plug the end of an extension cord into this so that the toy is charged up the next day. I got this plug for $15, which I felt was a great deal. The plug feels very solid and mates with the extension cords without any issues. The rubber seals are substantial and seem like they'll do a great job keeping water out. This is a much better power inlet than others that I have used.

Very nice, just what I needed.

Threw this on my network core rack at home, using in conjunction with some glow ended cable I built (10/3). I belie. The glow ends are leviton branded, and they fit perfectly in this receptacle. Looks good, works well, nice little package. (See pictures. This was a hastey job, not a lot of measuring. Eyeballed it, came out fine.)

Nice to have the plug integral to the male receptical

I have never been successful using the ones with a male receptacle that has to be attached to the mount. This one has a short hard wired cord that is water tight and looks clean when installed. Buy it
