Impressed.
Well, I'm mighty impressed. I really didn't think they'd be all that great (I actually ordered other kinds so that I can compare them). I was concerned before ordering that the sliding cover would slide too easily with movement and/or fall off at some point. Mind you, I literally JUST installed this thing on my laptop (Dell XPS) so this is not a a review based on longevity of the product; Merely my initial impressions. Installation was a breeze. They give you small, clear adhesive strips so that you have better control during placement rather that using your fingers on this TINY doohickey (see photos). The cover does not slide with typical device movement and takes just a wee bit forceful pressure to move vs just touching it (see video for demo). I don't know if it will loosen over time or if the adhesive will fail, so I do plan to update after a period of use. It also looks as though there is a lip on the rim of the adhered piece that will keep the cover from falling off. Yay! Unlike my old (janky) sticky note cover, this thing completely blocks the outside light and gives a black screen when the camera is covered (see photos). My laptop screen also lays almost completely flat when closed, so I needed something very thin to ensure no screen damage when closed- this is as close to perfect as you'll get in terms of thickness (see photo). So far, I'm very happy. Once I am confident that it will pass the test of time, I plan to apply the second one to my Samsung Galaxy s9 (I already know that it will fit, even with my cover on). Here's to hoping!

Really tiny cover
I've been one to just slap some electrical tap over the webcam on my laptop, but decided to go a little less trashy. I read the measurements of the cover, but I didn't realize how tiny this webcam cover is. That first pic shows just how small it is. Nice packaging to put 2 of these in an SD card case. I was worried that the small lens hole wasn't big enough but in the second pic, you can see it fits perfectly. I read a bunch of reviews where the people installed them crooked. I used a pair of tweezers to install the cover. Worked great and the cover looks like it came from the factory like this.

The most ingenious life hack ever
I always thought that putting something in front of your camera was reserved for government paranoid people, but 1. that is a real worry and 2. this thing comes in handy for everyday life too. I work at an organization that uses a lot of conference lines with external clients and having this manual option to prevent others from seeing my video is such a nice piece of mind. It doesn't block the lens when opened and is super easy to apply. I also love that it is super discreet, and doesn't prevent my laptop from closing properly.

Works awesome - love these things!
Elegant solution to an age-old problem. Work from home with confidence! Quickly join those Web Ex's while wearing only a towel, because you were running late, and have no fear that your team will see you bare-chested leaning over your desk!! No one wants ugly pieces of electrical tape covering their webcam. This solution is perfect those who use their webcam often, but want to have an extra level of control to keep it covered until they are ready to use it. ** 2020 Edit Re: 2017-2020 Macbook Pro's ** Interestingly, I indeed used this on a 2018 Macbook Pro 15" and had absolutely no problem with cracked or damaged screens. I am guessing this comes down more to taking care of the laptop and the bag you carry your laptop in (don't let the MBP experience severe pressure) but I took mine to Tokyo and back, and carried it in a backpack every day for 2 years with not a single speck of damage.

Just buy it. It's worth it.
Awesome, lovely, great! And all other good things. This little doohickey is just what I was looking for. When they say slim, they mean slim. This tiny little cover is a powerhouse for peace of mind. I'm giving it a 4 for easy install because well it's really tiny and hard to manipulate. They provide little strips of tape to help get the cover in place. Without the tape, install might be impossible. Also make sure you are in well lit room. It's hard to discern the black of the cover with the black around the camera. The slide moves easily to expose the camera when needed. I did have to move it a couple of times to get it to glide easily. It doesn't seem so easy it will dislodge itself and open accidentally. I am using one on my Chromebook. The cover does keep the screen from laying flush when closed. Because the cover is so slim it's only a little. HERE'S THE CON - Because the screen doesn't come down as far as it should it appears the computer is not automatically going into lock mode when the screen is put down. However the screen does turn off to conserve battery. So not the worst side effect, but something to remember if you want the computer to lock. Easily fixed by locking it manually when I am ready to take a break. I would and will buy this again. This is also something I will be giving as a gift to family and friends. This is a little way to take back control of some privacy. Stay safe out there.

Absolutely perfect!
These were super easy to install and even though they are very tiny, they are easy to work with and what I really liked is that the package included a little piece of temporary sticky tape that you use to position the cover on your item so that your fingers do not touch the adhesive portion of the cover! It's a wonderful thing to have! The cover slides easily and it's so thin, it's unnoticeable. I'm using it on my Samsung Galazy J7 with an Otterbox cover. Now, on the front of my phone, it's perfect size and if I didn't have the Otterbox, it would fit the back camera, too. If you have a case that is thicker in the back, you will need to order a much longer cover so there is enough adhesion room. I solved the problem of the back camera with some velcro sticky dots and a piece of black fabric as a temporary fix (or permanent if I so desire).

So easy to use
These were very quick and easy to put on. Lining them up on the camera was simple. I only wish the circle you slide to use the camera was a different color so it would be super easy to tell that it was open. I haven't had any problems with them falling off despite sliding them back and forth multiple times a day.

VERY small profile!
Love that this does not in any way interfere with my laptop computer's webcam. VERY low profile so it's barely noticeable that it there! I was concerned that this type of camera cover would not stay open when I used the camera and not stay closed when I wasn't. No problems at all! LOVE it!

Do not use on 2019/2020 16-inch MacBook Pro
1. These are made really well. The product itself is sound. 2. HOWEVER, if you have a 2019/2020 MacBook Pro (16-inch) DO NOT BUY THIS. I used this on my MacBook Air with no issue but it damaged the screen on my month-old MacBook Pro. To repair that damage, it will cost $800. The damage occurred the day after I stuck it onto the computer and used it normally. The new 16-inch Pro is just super sensitive, so DO NOT GET THIS if you have that computer. SAVE YOURSELF.

Perfect for 15in MacBook Pro (2018)
Ordered camera cover for 15in MBP (2018 edition). The camera cover fits perfectly and does not interfere with the closing mechanism. Looks like it belongs on my MBP. Exactly what I was looking for!
