The perfect onsie
I love these newborn onsies. My baby was 6 lb 12 oz and just under 20" long when she came home from the hospital and these little newborn onsies fit her perfectly. They are soft, tagless, good quality, and super cute. She seems comfortable in them which is good because I love a baby in a onsie. The colors are very sweet and girly and stayed bright through many washes the entire 2 months she wore them. These newborn onsies claim to fit babies from 5 to 8 lbs and once she hit 8 lbs (21.5") I had to break out the 0-3 month onsies so I feel like these fit exactly as they should. Also, I should mention that the 3-6 month onsies from Gerber also fit my now 8 1/2 pounder well enough with a little growing room. You might be able to get away with skipping the 0-3 month onsies and going straight to the 3-6 month ones if your baby is over 8 lbs. Here is what the tagless-tag says. Gerber NB 5-8 LBS. 100% COTTON EXCLUSIVE OF DECORATION MADE IN INDIA I hope this review was helpful in determining size. That is always a difficult thing to figure out when there is a brand new baby involved.

Great for me. I do recommend, but do try it on.
I bought the XL Short which fit me very well, little loose in the leg for me but given you need mobility that works. (So you can judge who the size works compared to typical clothes - I'm 33"/33" pants aka size 16 average pants (worthington, or women's relaxed fit levi), or 18 petite for brands that have thinner hip thigh cuts. I'm right between petite and average). If you carry weight in the stomach or don't like clothes tight fitting near your stomach/waist, I strongly suggest trying these on in a story before buying online. You find more sizes online, but trying it on for leg length and mobility is important. There's an elastic band that's near the waist /belly-button area that cinches that area tighter. I like it - makes me still feel female when completely covered up, but you may not. Another item for women to note is the shoulder adjustments. If you are petite in the torso, you might have to sew a bit to shorten those up - it looks easy enough honestly, but I didn't have to this time because they fit my shoulders. Of the overalls I've tried, these work, feel, and look the best. I actually have 2 pairs of these because I need them for work and home - and that way if one is washing/drying or if I soak them, I can change and just go back to work. But again, try it on, and try it on with winter clothing.

Perfect fit and durable!
Been helping my hubby build his huge shop. I've been wearing typical jeans that I keep having to pull up with all the bending. This bib is perfect! Soooo comfortable! I wish I would have bought this sooner. I'm 5'4.5" and about 120 lbs. Bought the small which was a good thing because the elastic around the waist is perfect. You may want to go a size bigger if you want to wear a a thick long sleeve underneath. I don't mind wearing my shirt and pullover over it. Length is perfect too. Bottom falls right to the floor without shoes. Just the right length with boots. I love it! Thank you for a great product!

Super cute, but ran a little small compared to Carter's onesies
I really like the print on these and the cotton is soft. However these are about the same size as my 0-3mos Carter onesies and I bought the Gerber 3-6mos (I knew Gerber ran small). Definitely something to keep in mind. Good product though, would totally recommend and buy again :)

Onesies / Bodysuits Advice
First off, you need to know that onesies / bodysuits are cut different from every company and are even cut different if made in different years at the same company. See end of this review for my strategy to deal with onesies successfully. In general, Gerber brand runs small and is good for babies that are long and thin or if you have a preemie. The Gerber fabric is also slightly see-through so you can see the line on the diaper change from yellow to blue (shows when needs changed) without having to undress. We bought size newborn in the bear pattern. They fit our newborn baby the first three weeks (my baby's birth weight was 8lbs 1oz and lost weight then went back up again in weight to 9lbs). This is my onseie strategy that worked: 1. Buy a range of brands and sizes of onesies. My baby was long and thin and chunked up before growth spurts - he fit well into companies like Carter's, Gerber's, Little Me, and Old Navy. Old Navy in particular has the best 100% cotton snap up pajamas for newborns (the under 7lbs pjs worked for my infant up to 9 lbs). Old Navy also carries larger size nightgowns for babies (beyond 3 months) which I could not find anywhere else. Also, they come in sizes all the way through 24 months so if you really like a particular pattern, you can buy it in multiple sizes that slightly increase so you actually get to enjoy that outfit for more than 1-2 wearings (because babies grow so fast). 2. DO NOT buy premee onsies from Gerber unless you know your baby is going to be born way too early as these are very small. 3. Buy 1 pack of Gerber newborn onsies ONLY if you know your baby will be around 8lbs or less at birth.... because they will only be in these onsies for the first week or two of life and most of that time its best to put the newborn in footed/mitted pjs and nightgowns instead. 4. Once you buy all the onesies you want, unpack and wash all of them... yes - wash 24 month onsies at the same time as the newborn ones because you would be surprised - I once had a 18 months pack of onsies that was the same size as 6 month clothing. 5. Sort the onesies by length. If the fabric has stretch, be sure to stretch it to see how long they really are. 6. For each pile of onesies around the same length, sort them by width... and put the narrowest on top. 7. Now you have the onesies organized for usage. Just place the shortest ones in the drawer for use now... then put the longer ones in the closet or storage for latter. When your baby grows out of a size, get the next length out of the closet. Since they are already washed you can use them immediately. 8. Just be sure to NOT keep your baby in any size outfit for longer than you should. If you are having any strain in getting the clothes on or buttoning them, then just move up to another size. Its better for an outfit to bit a tad loose then snug.

waste 41. 5 & hips 44
I am petite but wide, so I paid close attention to the reviews. (Embarrassed about my measurements but hoping it helps others to pick the right size) I am 5'2" bust 43, waste 41.5 & hips 44.5. The Large was perfect. I live inSouth Lake Tahoe so these will keep me warm when shoveling the snow. So excited about these.

XXL - perfect fit
XXL size. I'm 5'10" and pear shaped; much larger bottom half than upper body. I LOVE THEM! They're wonderful. They're a little larger up top than expected but not so much that they aren't still comfortable with just a long sleeve shirt. The length is great. I'm able to wear my boots without looking like I'm waiting for a flood or so long they're dragging the ground. They have a zipper down the entire front as well as buttons. They also zip from the hip all the way down or from the floor up to the hip. Front pockets are perfect and the regular pockets are very deep! I love it. I ordered last week and they were here in six days! I'm very happy with my purchase.

Perfect to work in the house and in the yard
Love, love love my Carhartts. These overalls are a great work outfit for so many reasons. First, since they are overalls I dont need to worry about it when I bend over which makes gardening in them awesome. Also, the legs have an extra layer since they are lined so getting down on my knees is a little easier since I have an extra buffer of cushion between them and the ground. Also, because they are lined they are warm in the winter months. I am pear shaped and the fit is nice, I can get boots on under them and still have a little room in the leg. The only thing that doesnt fit quite right is the bust, it folds out in the middle a bit which is odd (I am a D cup) so that is the only annoying thing but usually if I am wearing these I am not going for a fashion statement so we are all good!

Large enough to pull over pants and a hoodie comfortably.
Large enough to pull over pants and a hoodie comfortably. I'm 5'2 and 115/120 lbs, and size small works well for me. Somewhat long, but I just roll up the legs. Awesome for outdoor work in the cold.
