Purchased for my Granddaughter and her second child. Sweetest little baby girl sleeps just fine in this. Mom had a c-section delivery and has a small bedroom so this product works great for her and the new wee one. Puts the baby right there beside her without the issues of having the infant in the bed with Mom and Dad. Allows easy access to the child and saves my recovering Granddaughter to tend the baby without getting in and out of bed.

At first I was skeptical thinking it was a hype for the high price and wasn’t sure to go with a bedside sleeper playyard but I’m sooooo happy I chose this. My son is now two months, 22” long and 11lbs and still fits comfortably. It turns so I can watch him as he sleeps through the mesh lining. The front bar goes down as I put arms to reach in and get him which may seem small but when I first came out the hospital this is so MAJOR! Especially if you had a c-section and can’t put too much pressure on your abdomen muscles. My breasts became engorged and believe me everything hurts; even to blink and the fact the bar goes down when reaching in is a life saver. I was going to buy the separate storage attachment but didn’t need to since the one already on it is enough for about 3-4 diapers.

It’s Toddler Proof As a mom to three kiddos, a six year old, two year old and a newborn, one of my most important tasks is to prevent my kids from inadvertently killing themselves or a fellow sibling. My two year old, if left alone with the newborn, would surely kill the baby (with love and good intentions) and then accidentally poison herself (out of curiosity). I’m being dead serious… It’s like something Shakespeare could have written. One of my most favorite things about the HALO Bassinest is that it is extremely heavy and sturdy. The way the base is engineered makes it very hard for a two year old to have access to the newborn. She cannot accidentally tip it over nor could she easily climb in. I know that if I walk to the bathroom and leave the baby in the Bassinest my toddler will not inadvertently injure the baby. I’m calling this a win. halo bassinest reviews sml Mesh Sides Which leads me to the second thing I love about the HALO Bassinest. Since the toddler cannot tip it over or climb in, I’m really happy that the sides of this bedside bassinet are mesh thus allowing overzealous toddler to see and talk to her precious baby. Minor side bonus, I can see my baby while I am sleeping in my bed right next to her. In theory, I could shimmy the Bassinest right up to the side of my bed so we could breathe the same air or I could sing her a song. halo bassinest review1 The Swivel Speaking of shimmying, one of the best things about the Bassinest is how it swivels. The base/stand of the Bassinest stays in one spot (it’s very heavy) but the actual bassinet can go backwards, forwards and even turn to be facing different directions. This is very handy when you want baby close to you at night, but maybe you need to get up to pee and don’t want to awkwardly climb around the bassinet and out of your bed just to go to the bathroom. One of the most convenient times this feature will come in handy is immediately after childbirth while recovering from any kind of delivery. No new mama needs to be doing acrobatics after giving birth. Simply push the bassinet out of the way, hop (or ease yourself carefully) out of bed and carry on with your day. Looks Good I almost feel vain for saying that the way the Bassinest looks is important to me. However, if I need to look at baby gear every day, multiple times per day for months on end, I think that I deserve a little eye candy, no? My bedroom has dark brown walls and I use a lot of white décor which creates a very soothing color palette. My bedroom is my sanctuary and getaway, and the Bassinest has not hindered this venture in any way. If anything it blends in well and adds to the ambiance. I love the way it looks! halo bassinest reviews Safe Co-Sleeping Of course, one of the best features of the HALO Bassinest is how it offers parents a safe but at the same time an extremely convenient way of co-sleeping. One of the reasons I don’t bed share is because my bed is not flat or firm, but extremely padded with hills and valleys. I love my bed and my bed loves me, but it isn’t a safe place for my baby to sleep. That being said, I feel confident putting my baby in the Bassinest at night knowing she is safe. HALO is committed to making products that provide for safe sleep for babies and their Bassinest is an amazing addition to their product line.

Prior to my son being born, I purchased the Arms Reach Cosleeper. I saw the halo Bassinest and liked it, but did not want to spend that much money. However, after we got home with my son I quickly figured out the Arms Reach wasn’t working for me. I had a csection and with the Arms Reach I was still having to sit up to see him. It was so painful, I feel like I was up and down all night just checking on him. I had the leg extenders for the Arms Reach but we felt it just made it not very sturdy like it would tip over. I splurged and purchased the Halo Bassinest and it has been one of the best decisions and worth it. The base is very sturdy and is adjustable to fit our bed. I prop one side over the bed so he sleeps beside me safely. The sides are mesh so I can easily see him and not worry about him suffocating if he gets up against the side. The swivel feature is great too because I can easily get out of bed or move it to make the bed and change the sheets. I don’t know how I would get any sleep without this. I can easily get him out during the night to feed and put him back. Our baby sleeps great in it. The only downside is the weight limit is 20 lbs I think but hopefully by then we will transition him to the crib. Would definitely recommend this product to new parents. My fiancé put it together and only took him like 10 mins. Just watch your toes. I have stumped my toes on this multiple times and the base is so sturdy it really hurts. This product is very heavy.

This was the bassinet I had originally placed on all of my baby registries after a friend who had had a c-section recommended it to me. Instead, I ended up getting a number of rock-n-plays (I think because they were cheaper & had more gadgets on them?). My son, however, didn't seem to care for all the gadgets anyway & preferred just being close to Mom & Dad so we ended up purchasing a second-hand Halo from someone on FB (who had also purchased it second-hand a year prior!). Right off the bat, the fact that it was in near perfect condition after being used by multiple families (one who'd had twins) thrilled me. The quality is so top-notch, there were no tears or rips in the mesh & everything still worked perfectly. Aside from that, it's incredibly lightweight & easy to assemble. And even though my mattress sits directly on the floor so the stand cannot fit under it, it has so much range that I can still manage to get my son close enough to me to soothe him if needed (plus he really likes when I just move him around on the swivel). All in all, it's one of my favorite baby items & I would've been completely willing to pay full price for it. Please let me know if you found this review helpful, as I rely primarily on others' reviews when making my purchases as well 😊.

I just gave birth to my 5th baby (cue ooohs & awws...she is amazing!) I have always been one to keep baby gear to a minimum by only getting things that will last for several years of usefulness (ie, pack n play). So the thought of spending $200+ on a bassinet that I would use for only 5 mths or so seemed ridiculous, until I started reading the reviews & trying to figure out how I was going to keep my clumsy boxer puppy from licking the baby to death. Pros: *UNBELIEVABLY sturdy! My husband has the nickname "Captain Overkill" & this got his unflinching stamp of approval. *Quiet & smooth. The motion is so natural & virtually silent that I can move baby around without disturbing her even a little bit. *Won't tip. I have a 2yr old & 5 yr old who are very strong & curious but they can't even come close to tipping this. It is quite heavy, which is a bummer for travel, but awesome for the everyday safety of my little ones. *Sits on my mattress. Every other co-sleeper I have seen has terrible reviews if your bed frame isn't just the right height or shape. This would work with just about any bed without trouble. *Attractive design. It is pretty & simple so it doesn't feel like a huge clunky thing I can't wait to pack away forever. And, since it swivels out of the way, I don't feel that frustration of having to climb over something with my awkward postpartum body. Cons: none No really, none. Seriously. Just buy it! You will be glad you did!

I returned another bassinet for this one (since I always wanted it but didn’t like the price) and I’m so glad I did! I don’t have much space on my side of the bed, so the swivel is key for me to get in and out of bed easily. I love having my girl sleep right next to me and being able to pull the basket over the bed. I also had an emergency c section, so the drop bar came in handy. Also, my now 5 week old has learned to wiggle in her swaddle and I wake up to her down at one end of the bassinet, with her face on the side.. so I am SOO thankful it’s wide netted mesh!! Do yourself a favor and get this. I saved by getting the basic model and by using my baby registration discount on it.

We are almost 3 months into using this- my baby has slept in it at night since we brought him home. Very convenient for breast feeding. Easily swivels closer to get baby in and out. I also love that it is netting because I have woken up to my baby with his head pressed against the netting looking at me- thank goodness it is breathable. It is easy for me to check him in the night, don’t have to sit up or anything - I can see him perfectly through the netting. Also easy to reach in to soothe him or give him a pacifier. I also sometimes swivel it back and forth to get him to go to sleep. When I bought this I was debating whether or not to get the higher priced ones with the music , etc , but I have found this one to have everything we need.

I never leave reviews, but this has been such a lifesaver that I had to share! I bought this bassinet as a middle of the night impulse post-csection. It was far more expensive than I planned for a bassinet, but it is worth every penny. After days of painful attempts to get in and out of bed and put baby down in the hospital bassinet, it is INVALUABLE to be able to just swivel him over to me, sitting comfortably in bed, and lift him safely and easily in and out. It also makes getting in and out of bed easier bc I can just swivel it away from the bed and get up. I highly recommend this for any c-section moms out there!
