Works like a charm

I had started with a bluetooth/wifi timer that kept loosing signal and didn't work more than a couples days at a time before I'd have to go out and reconnect the plug. So frustrating! I love this one! Fits in my lighting box and turns my lights on every day. I love that I can set it to turn off and on as many times a night as I want. Nothing like lights turning on at random times in the neighborhood to keep undesirables moving along and less interested. It's not digital, so it's super easy to change the time - to adjust for the late fall and late spring time/light adjustments.

Well made, keeps good time..but those pins!

Really like the simplicity of analog vs. digital for my needs here. I read a lot of reviews that said "make sure you push the pins down at on and off times" and that "comes with pins in up position" but I still screwed up. Luckily I realized my mistake right away. I have these on Christmas lights and they came on perfect at 5:00.... when I looked at 5:30, they were all off !!! What? I tried again - pin down at 5:00, pin down at 11:00... same problem! Then it hit me - you have to push EVERY pin down for the period you want power. So for 5:00 to 11:00... every pin must be pushed down. Got it now. Once I did that, working perfectly. Love the rain cover too.

We just started using this timer and so far it is awesome. My husband loves that you can set it for different increments. For example, you can set it to run from 6 AM to 9 AM then again from 1 PM to 3 PM and again from 4 PM to 6 PM if wanted. The cord is extremely short so if you want to mount it, your pole better be right with your outlet. It has 2 3-prong outlets in the bottom of the box with a door to cover the timer itself. We are totally pleased.

Reliability at a great price!

Each year I water our lawn utilizing big impact type sprinklers, while drawing water from a source on my property. I found best results by watering between the hours of 4:30-6:30 am. Previously, I had used an ancient Intertec heavy duty timer to run the pump. When the timer failed this year I looked into replacement costs, which are quite high, and even considered repairing, until the cost of replacement parts seemed absurd. Took a chance on this timer. The pump uses about 750 watts so I wasn't sure this little timer could really handle that type of continuous load. Well, it's been running for two months now, and hasn't missed a beat. Additionally, unlike many of the older, less expensive mechanical timers, it seems to keep pretty accurate time. I have not had to adjust the "time of day" at all, over this time. A nice feature is the extra care they took in trying to make this timer resistant to weather. Although I am using it in a partially protected area, it has still been outside, and lived through a few thunder storms with driving rains. This product is one of those rare purchases, that because of the low price, you don't have high expectations, only to find it yields superior results. To the manufacturers: Well done!!

Heavy duty construction

I purchased two of the 24 Hour Mechanical Dual Outlet Outdoor Timers for use with my outdoor lights. I love that the unit has its power cord on the top of the unit, while the two available outlets are on the bottom. It's a small thing, but I have purchased timers in the past where the power cord and outlet were on the same end, not allowing for the streamlined "in line" look of this timer. It's very easy to set using the attached pins (no losing the red/green plastic indicators) and there is a cover over the pins and timer to protect it. The unit feels solid as does the timer mechanism. Well done!

Great product exactly what I needed

This thing is exactly what I NEEDED!! I JUST SET IT AND FORGET IT. I'm using this timer for indoor gardening and I needed something that will TURN ON/OFF my lights and fans automatically, I really like the protective cover to protect my programming from water splashes and the sleek design.. I'm so amazed how well built and how easy to use this timer is. It comes with a double 3 prong plug for dual appliance usage. And the Price of this unit is a big plus! I know this is advertised as a water resistant outdoor timer but it works great indoors too. I am very pleased with my timer. I will be buying a few more soon. Thank you Century Timer I will think of you every time I walk into my garden! :)

Love it!

This is a simple timer that's easy to set up once you read the directions. I needed a timer that turned on at night, and had a hard time finding one in the stores that was for exterior use or didn't operate on a photo cell. The actual unit seems well-made and well protected with a hard plastic cover (bonus!). I'll buy more....

This product is very easy to use. It is also a very reliable timer, turning on and off at the appointed times. The cover is great because it is being used on a fountain, so it is protected from water. Highly recommend this timer, as it is not a cheap, flimsy one as others I have purchased in the past.
