My husband likes spicy broth while I’m into more savory and mild flavors, the divider serves our preferences. Easy to use & clean. I am also sharing the wonderful experience with my friends on social media. Overall happy with this hotpot shabu shabu cooker. I’m giving this item ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating

I bought this hotpot about three months ago at the time of this writing, and have used it about six times since then. The short version: -Hotpot divider is permanent -Nonstick material makes it easy to hand wash -Glass lid includes lever-like handle (you assemble lid yourself; hardware included) -Generous size; we've used it for six diners comfortably (more people would probably be too crowded) -Non-slip feet so hotpot stays put on the dining table -Heats to boiling in about 8 minutes from refrigerated broth; heats room temp or already-hot broth faster -Maintains constant temperature throughout meal (usually keep it at a simmer to gentle boil) -Plugs into wall, cord is detachable. NOTE: depending on where your table is located you may want an extension cord. The cord it comes with is about three feet long. -Price is very fair for the quality The long version: Look, I eat a lot. I'll spend an average of $35/person going to Little Sheep because I want the full spread (enoki, kabocha, lamb, pork, beef, fish ball with roe, napa cabbage, bok choy, quail eggs, more lamb, etc.). Now that I've demystified the magic of hotpot at home, cooking it myself for my friends and I is way more affordable (and arguably just as tasty). It's also more fun because, at least in SoCal, you're typically waiting a good hour or more at a popular hotpot or shabu shabu joint just to sit down. At home, you just have to prep your ingredients, sit down, and eat. I also just enjoy cooking for people and this is an easy way to cook for several with minimal effort. This hotpot is the first I've purchased and if it continues doing what it's doing, it'll probably be the last. It's heavy and sturdy enough that it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy, but lightweight enough to handle and handwash easily. Capacity is good - I don't know the exact capacity but as mentioned above my partner and I typically have four to six people over when we do hotpot, and it's large enough to manage that party. Any more than six I feel would be overcrowding. At six, the pot sometimes dips below boiling as it struggles to heat back up after we dump all of our noods and foods in, but overall maintains a steady simmer which is just where we want it. That capacity translates to about two medium-large stockpots of broth, one for each side. Yes, I go the Little Sheep route and buy their broth mix (one spicy, one mild for those with average white-people-spice-tolerance), then I do one stockpot each. Some hotpot mix instructions, by the way, say to use water. Trust me when I say make your own stock BEFORE using the mix (aka don't just use water; boil the water with pork bones AND chicken bones/carcass if you can, for at least a couple hours - the more, the better. THEN add the mix. It's a world of difference). With that much stock, I refill each side of the pot as we eat and it's enough for the six-people party I mentioned. The power dial is sliding and lets you maintain a range of temperatures. I think the sticker on mine is off because it thinks it's turned off at '2' but can be turned up past '5.' A minor imperfection and hasn't had any bearing on the unit's operation. Nonstick coating makes it easy to clean after, and trust me, there's a lot of gunk left over when we're finished feasting. Washes right off with minimal scrubbing. I assume this can't go in the dishwasher since the power source plugs directly into the bottom of the unit. Handles on either side make it easy to carry, and are plastic, so they don't conduct heat. Lid has a nice lever-style plastic handle so you won't burn your hands lifting it up. Overall I think the price is very fair for the quality. I'm very satisfied with the hotpot, and it's working just as well as it did the first time. I'll update with any new feedback (and hopefully better pics, but I keep forgetting to take pics because by the time it's time to eat, I just want to ... eat), but overall I'd definitely recommend this model. It's done everything it says it will, it's easy to clean, and it's great for the group size I prefer for dinner. Five stars, easily.

My family loves this electric hotpot for coolest fastest dinner ever! We use once to twice monthly so far, both sides evenly heat up. I prep with hot broth base then transfer to this pot (I bought pre-made spicy broth, boil first then strain extra seasonings first then directly pour to hotpot, my family prefers broth without any visible precooked ingredients) anyways, it’s perfect for fun Healthy meat or seafood dinner.

Straightforward, efficient, easy to use, and has dividers, allowing you to keep ingredients for spice-lovers on one side, and milder food on the other. It also wins presentation points on a lid that can sit on its side to save and features a generously 5L of capacity, giving you plenty of room to stir or flip ingredients. Overall, you’ll have no trouble creating restaurant worthy dishes.

It’s been about 2 month since we got this and it’s handle itself really well. Once we got the pot, my boyfriend and I decided to put it through a stress test to see how it’ll handle. In the first 2 weeks we used it 10 times, a couple times with friends for up to 4 people. To control the heat, it’s just a knob with numbers 1-5. It heats pretty fast, and boils the soup within four minutes. We bring it down to 2 and 1 as we’re eating, since the soup is nice and hot so, we don’t need it to be boiling the entire time. Sometimes, it’ll come back to bubbling, and that’s because it’s maintaining the temperature for you. The side near the plug is hotter than the other side, not significantly, but we noticed it tends to boil faster. Overall, it’s easy to set up. The only thing you have to assemble is the lid, and then plug in the control into the pot and then into the wall outlet. The cord isn't long, so we decided to add an extension to it, that way no one trips over it. I also really like the design of the handle on the lid, since you don’t feel the heat extending to it. Cleaning is not as much of a hassle, even if you have to clean it by hand because the pot itself has a non-stick coating, so we use the soft part of the sponge. It really handles itself well and I love that it has a divider since we can use it for different broths or for people who don’t eat certain meats. I was really nervous about this purchase since the brand’s website is pretty sparse and there’s not a lot of reviews on this, but overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. I see myself own this for a very long time.
