You have to understand the Samsung part number sequence when looking at the QLED. i asked a question and got the answer in short order. I purchased this TV soon after and it arrived less than 36 hours after purchase. That says a lot about the seller as i am well impressed with the customer service thus far. TV arrived yesterday 10 minutes set up to replace an existing Samsung 4K. No more one connect either, just the single HDMI out of the Home theater, add the Ethernet if you have one.Picture quality is amazing, but you do have to play around with the picture menu to minimize the soap opera effectif you find that distracting. UHD/HDR DVD's and 4k streaming from Netflix and Amazon Prime passed with flying colors. It blew away the Samsung 8 series I had for overall quality. Money very well spent if you want the more affordable QLED Q6 series.Quick edit: Q series comes with samsung smart things app installed. Linked my Arlo cameras and the rest of my smart things and the voice commands to the TV remote allows me to watch each camera with less than a second delay. absolutely blown away....

When I told my daughter I was buying the Samsung 82" QLED, she texted back that I would "burn out my retinas". She wasn't far off. This is a magnificent electronic tour de force. For full disclosure, I've had my issues with Samsung TVs in the past. This TV replaced a 75" Samsung HD set that I had for about 8 years and, for the most part, was great. But twice I had that dreaded failure where the TV would randomly shut off and restart repeatedly. After months of troubleshooting and anguish, I replaced a cable and all worked well, but it raised serious concern about Samsung and their QA. Nevertheless, when it came to buy a new one, I ended up going back to Samsung basically for two reasons. First, the quality of the picture is only second to the LG OLED. But LG does not make an 80"+ OLED TV that doesn't require a second mortgage. So the second reason I bought the Samsung is because the cost is reasonable by comparison (although still high). I also rationalized that over the years, Samsung has hopefully addressed their QA issues and I won't suffer though more troubleshooting issues in the future. (File this one under "Denial".) But enough of that. The TV itself is stunning. We purchased the wall-mounting as part of our package and Angel, the Amazon installer, was terrific. In and out in about 45 minutes, and that included the assembly of the mount. Once turned on, the set-up wizard walks you through everything you need to get you up and running, including the recognition of the attached DVR, Apple TV, Roku, and game console. No need to remember which HDMI port each is plugged into. The TV labels all the ports in an easy-to-access menu that you display via the sleek remote. The remote is minimalistic but very functional. Others have complained about it, but honestly, other than using my DirecTV remote to change channels, I use the Samsung remote for all other functions. The Home button displays a menu that allows you to access all your other devices, and those are integrated with access to the apps for quick access to Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, or, in my case, the MLBTV app. No more of this nonsense of reaching for the TV remote, pressing "Source", trying to remember which HDMI port is the Apple TV, selecting the port, then reaching for the Apple TV remote. The magic all happens with one single remote. But the beauty of this TV (and the reason you shell out all that money) doesn't really come home to roost until you see the vibrancy of the colors. It's hard to convey. It's like Dorothy living her life in Kansas in black and white for the first 45 minutes of "The Wizard of OZ", and then opening the door of her tornado-transported house only to see the REAL colors of the Emerald City. The first time I saw the red and greens in the graphics of some of the networks, it was like seeing what real color is supposed to look like. It jumps off the page (if your TV was paper). On the other hand, maybe my retinas were sufficiently burned. Either way, several days later, I'm still in awe when I turn the TV on and the colors become living, all-encompassing waves of vibrancy. It's spectacular. It's probably a good idea to plan to fool with some of the motion settings. Accepting the defaults made for some interesting effects while watching football on the NFL Network, especially in close-ups of fast-moving interior linemen, or a camera tracking a pass upfield. But after an afternoon of twiddling with the settings, I have the best television picture I've seen in my life. Now if we can just get the networks to start broadcasting in 4K, that would be great. It's a lot of money to pay for a TV, and I'm sure if you wait, the price of these will drop significantly as the technology improves. But if you're looking for what amounts to cutting edge picture quality now and the price doesn't scare you, you can't go wrong with the Samsung QLED. They're making retinas a thing of the past. :-)

OK, I just got it yesterday, but everything from the delivery to the unpacking, to the setup has been awesome! The trucking company arrived early. Luckily my wife was home. They said they would help with setup, but she had to go to work. When I got home I unboxed it with my son's help. There are plastic locks on the box that allow the box to be taken off without cutting or ripping tape. Ingenious! I needed to make a trip to the hardware store to get the right size screws to attach it to my wall mount. Between my wife and I, we were able to lift it easily and get it mounted with no fuss. Setup of the TV was easy, and my Samsung Galaxy S8+ popped up a message and detected the TV and set up an app all automatically. The picture is AWESOME!!! I felt like I was right there in the car with the characters in the movie that was on when we turned it on. The TV automatically detected the game systems I had plugged into it. It must have transferred my wifi info from my phone, because it connected to my home network without my having to type in the password. I have only a few complaints- The remote is tiny. I mean about 6 inches long by an inch and a half. Not many buttons, any numerical input is done by scrolling on the screen. But aside from accessing the menu and turning the TV on and off, we use our set top box remote. The major gripe I have, is that all the inputs are on a side facing panel on the back of the TV, which is not accessible once it's wall mounted. I plugged an HDMI cable into each port and have them ready for when I need them, but I would like to have been able to access the USB plugs for digital content. That may be moot if the network access works well. I haven't had the time to mess with that yet. Aside from taping a broom stick to the remote so it doesn't disappear forever, I see no other issues so far. I'm very happy with it so far!

I am blown away by The 2018 Samsung QLED TV! While the TV does require two people to set it up due to the screen size, it is surprisingly light and the set up is extremely simple, my girlfriend and I were able to get this out of the box and playing chef's table 4k in less than 10 minutes. Once the TV is out of the box, the form and design is something to marvel at. The TV is so thin and its frame is virtually invisible, this device is all screen. The stand legs just snap onto the TV with virtually no assembly required, I spent a good two minutes looking for the screws before my girlfriend just snapped the legs into place herself (which of course gave her much triumphant satisfaction!) The on-screen set up is a breeze, and the TV is so smart it automatically detects and syncs your connected devices (cable box, video game console, external speakers etc). All attached devices can be controlled with the included OneRemote, which again syncs automatically, you simply point the remote at the device and it recognizes, and controls it. Altogether, set up will take you about 5-10 minutes, and once it's complete you are left with the most incredible picture you have ever seen. The details and colors are so vibrant and vivid, and there is ZERO glare, as the screen adjusts to ambient light, which is great for us as our apartment is all windows. Perhaps my favorite feature is the Universal Browse, which allows me to access my favorite programming from cable, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and beyond, all from one universal guide. My girlfriend loves the TV in ambient mode, which allows us to display art like content, photos, or decorative backgrounds (perfect for when we have people over and want to show off our QLED without having the television on). If you're going to spend the money on a nice television, I absolutely recommend spending it here, worth every penny. Well done Samsung!

Great tv the picture is amazing. Especially good in 4K and on Netflix. Really like the smart hub that comes up when you turn it on. Very easy to control with simple remote.

I have waited a couple of weeks to write this. I am amazed by this tv. I hate digital artifacts of any kind and has assumed with the source material they were here to stay. The processor for this TV must be extremely powerful because even old YouTube videos of James Brown are solid and smooth in a way that suspends disbelief. The you are there feeling is amazing. The dimensionality of the image I have rarely experienced. I watch a ton of live music on YouTube. The stage lights gleam off the mic stands in impossibly bright colors like the do at the show. The sound is killer too. The controls are great on the remote and the app lets you make your phone into a remote easily. I did a months worth of research before pulling the trigger on this one. Do much value for the money. I would love to see what Series 9’s are capable of as this is the lowest level of Samsung’s high end TV’s. But I wasn’t ready to part with $3K on a TV....yet. In the world of Hifi audio that gets a good pair of interconnects or a phono cartridge I know . TV has always been the lesser enjoyment for me. This TV has changed my opinion of what is possible in the format.

Got this TV for my dad since his Vizio finally died after 10 years of faithful constant CNN streaming. Was searching for Christmas gifts for him and came across this gem. Looked at Best Buy, Sam's Club, Costco, and even looked at the military exchange. No one could beat Amazon's price for $1200. Incredible buy and wish I would have bought one for myself. TV came a day earlier then expected. Packaged in 3 heavy duty boxes. Very easy to unpack and purchased a separate wall mount. Mounting wasn't as easy as the installation manual said. Had to go to Home Depot to buy longer bolts but after that in was up on the wall. Samsung even had nice side panels to grab so you didnt grab the screen which you should never do. Once in was all set up my dad added it to his Samsung Smart Things app. He loves that he can turn the TV on from anywhere with his phone. Still working on using Bixby. Setup was a breeze. Answer a few simple questions and programming the remote to control compatible devices like our verizon fios box was flawless. In all the TV is amazing. Picture quality is phenomenal. Sound is great for this type of TV but we added in a sound bar underneath for high quality sound and allow for full surround sound. My dad is in love with it. Has all the apps he likes, Netflix and Hulu. Some TV's do not support Hulu live but this one does. Dad is thinking about dropping his Fios cable now. Ridiculous we pay $270 a month for 2 DVR's and a basic box with 1200 channels that he basically watches what Hulu offers for $50. So we just gonna drop cable keep internet and bump it up to the 300 gigabyte package. Will save $160 a month.

UPDATE - 12/24/18 I received a new TV from Amazon as a replacement. MUCH Better! I LOVE this TV! Amazon was amazing about the return. They shipped me a new one first, allowing me to return the bad one after making sure the new one is good to go. Plus, I had thrown away the box for the bad one so I was able to use the new one's box to return. UPDATE - 11/28/18 Last night I discovered a cluster of dead pixels in the upper right of the screen, right where people's faces usually are on the screen. It looks like a bug on the screen. It's small and I've see from customer forums that Samsung EXPECTS dead pixels and wouldn't replace the screen even if I filed a ticket with them. I'm going to have to return it. I'm a little heartbroken that this set let me down. I love television and have a technical background so I really appreciate how well Samsung did with this model. The picture is absolutely incredible. I purchased a low end 43" 4K TV for the bedroom and this one for the living room. While the LED picture is good (and well worth the $230 I paid for it) the QLED is AMAZING. It is WELL WORTH the extra money I spent for the QLED. Blacks are DEEP and whites are BRIGHT, but not overwhelmingly bright. Even simple HD programming looks incredible. I'm not sure if it's Samsung's ability to upscale the picture or simply the great quality of the QLED (though I bet its a combination of the two) but I've never seen such a great picture, its stunning. This model, at $699.00, is an incredible value, it's well worth it!!

This TV has awsome color and picture. It's easy to set up, connect other equipment.

Got a 75inch model. It is fantastic. It has only been a day. So i might update the review after using it for a month or two. Amazon's delivery was great. I live in a high rise building, on 14th floor, so i was worried that they will leave the TV with reception (where all my amazon packages are delivered) and i will have to find a way to bring it up to my apt. But they actually delivered into my living room. I saw some reviews about ads popping up. When you are setting up your TV, don't blindly click "I agree to all". There are 3 options. 2nd option says something about ads. Dont check that box. Select remaining two boxes and proceed. I havent seen a single ad Bought a samsung soundbar with it which works very well with the TV. TV's remote controls both - tv as well as soundbar. Viewing angle was decent too. So far nothing bad to say about the tv
