This stuff is amazing! We have a 13 year old (old man) Red Bone Coon hound. I hate the coon hound/hound dog smell, so I have tried a lot of products. It doesn't take much of this wonderful powder to get your carpets smelling spring time fresh. You will not regret this!

Compared to Furriest Friends Carpet & Room Deodorizer

I bought both this product and the Furriest Friends Carpet & Room Deodorizer to compare both at the same time. As a disclaimer I did not follow the directions of either that said use sparingly as I was desperately trying to get rid of the odor that didn’t come up even after 6 hours of shampooing three small-medium sized rooms. I used 2/3 of the bottle in each room (with the 3rd room using the remaining 1/3 of each bottle). I left it overnight on the carpet and the next day brushed it in a few hours before vacuuming it up. Clearly the smell was strong so I closed those doors and didn’t use those rooms for the 24hrs. I liked the smell of both products and particularly the initial smell of the Furriest Friends as it was a sweet pea type fragrance. However after finishing this process to eradicate these odors I was slightly disappointed with the result of the Furriest Friends product over the Bodhi Dog product, as there was still lingering odor that mixed with the scent of the product leaving not as nice of a smell as it originally was while the Bodhi Dog maintained the original clean scent. It does have a fresh laundry scent and I seemed to smell a faint star anise scent that was not overpowering. Both products were made with the same looking material and I enjoyed that both were natural and pet friendly. I didn’t dislike the Furriest Friends product, but the lingering odor that 2/3 of a can did not resolve as well as the Bodhi product resulted in a 3 star rating for the Furriest Friends while I would give Bodhi Dog a 5 star rating. I should also mention that I used the Bodhi Dog product in the room with the stronger odor so it should have been at a disadvantage but it instead outshined the Furriest Friends product. I really wanted to like the Furriest Friends product more as it costs less, but unfortunately I’ll have to pay more for Bodhi Dog. I had never used either of these products and have not received anything (would be nice though, how do people get those benefits?) for this review and have no association with either product. I simply wanted to compare and abolish pet odors. I also shared a similar review on the Furriest Friends product.

Works great.

Have multiple cats. Used this in room that keep litter box and where occasionally a sick animal would per on carpet. I have used other products and always the same result. Flowery per smell. Not with this. It worked great. Even several days later. Will use again.

Lovely scent - took away dog smell

We just moved into a new house - all the bedrooms have carpet floors and the previous owners had a dog. Even though we had these fairly new carpets washed the pet smell was still there... I read the reviews on this product and gave it a chance.. LOVE IT!! it took away any residual smell and having a 16 month old baby who loves to play on the floor knowing this product is plant safe made me happy!

What I like most about this product is that a little goes a long way! We have an area rug that our pup always lays on and it starts to get stinky. We use resolve, but we only get about 3 uses out of the bottle. This carpet powder smells great and we will definitely be able to use it more than 3 times. I’m very satisfied and would recommend.

Worked well!

My sweet aging pet left a urine spot on an area rug that unfortunately went unnoticed and ended up drying. I tried cleaning it with the normal pet accident spray I use to clean up her accidents but that did not get rid of the strong smell. I also put baking soda on the area and left it there for a couple of days before I vacuumed it up. That also did not get rid of the smell. So then I spread Bodhi Dog Pet Carpet Powder on the area and brushed into the rug. I left it for 24 hours before vacuuming. I have read about not vacuuming baking soda or other powders because of possible damage to vacuum cleaner so I swept it up first and vacuumed excess. This powder has a fairly strong flowery scent like many carpet powder deodorizers but I did use quite a bit. Bodhi Dog did the trick. It removed the strong urine smell and the flowery powder scent dissipated after a day or two and then went away altogether. Its been about three weeks since I used this product and the urine smell has not returned. I also spread this product on other accident areas that I cleaned in the past with baking soda where the urine smell returned after some time and it has taken care of those odors as well. I also used it for this old musty book I purchased online. The mold smell was overwhelming. I put the book in a plastic box with lid and spread this product all over the book and in the box. I've left the box shut for a few weeks and it has greatly minimized the odor to almost nothing. I'm going to leave it there for a bit longer and see what happens, but as it stands Bodhi Dog has made this book usable in addition to saving my area rug.

Best Carpet Deodorizer Yet!

This is the best carpet deodorizer I used yet. Very affordable and requires very little to get the job done unlike other powers. The nice thing about this product is it's more of a fine granular than powder which gives it the ability to get between the fibers of the carpet. The other brands are too light and sit on top of the carpet and I have to brush them in. I'll definitely buy this every time I run out.

Great Purchase

I am not one to write reviews, especially one where I'm admitting to the world that theres an odor issue. I have a dog with issues, and despite the effort put into keeping the home odor free - there is one area that no matter how I clean - there is a reminiscent odor. I have tried countless products, with no luck. I used this product 4 days ago, and I was a bit heavy, and I should not have been. The product is amazing - it still has a pleasant scent, and no doggie odor at all. highly recommend this product.

We have 5 kids (four of them boys) and 4 inside/outside dogs (Lab, Labradane, Catahoula mix, and Lab mix). I say all of that to express that our carpets get GROSS. I am regularly shampooing the carpets. I’ve used Glade carpet powder and it worked okay, but I hate using the chemicals. This product is much more expensive than Glade, so I was thinking it better be amazing for this price. And thankfully, it did not disappoint! I used this powder in our carpeted living room and two bedrooms. It was a strong smell while I let it sit, and I followed the instructions not to breathe it in and stayed in the other part of the house while I waited to vacuum. After vacuuming, the rooms smelled great! All I could smell was fresh linen. My second test, was how long would it last. And again, it passed the test! Days and even a week later the rooms still have a slightly pleasant, fresh scent. Even a week later with Glade I could smell fresh linen AND STINK, so this product is better than Glade in my opinion. It is worth the extra few dollars.
