We've been using Soda Stream (formerly Soda Club) since 2005. Our old machine was leaking water where the bottle attaches to the carbonator so I bought this new one. I chose the one from Amazon because it is one of 2 types that Soda Stream offer that use the 130L CO2 cartridge - the other Bed Bath and Beyond (their product had complaints about the way the bottle attaches to the carbonator that it didn't create a good connection). I saw the Amazon reviews about the Jet not being as good as the old one and I was a bit worried. I compared the old and the new and they both seem pretty close to the same quality. So far, no complaints. I also saw the comments about not being able to tell how much carbonation you should apply as the old version had an obnoxious raspberry when it was carbonated - I don't mind giving that up. I've already got used to how much to carbonate. If I have problems in the future, I'll update my post, but so far, I'm satisfied that this is the same product I've enjoyed for nearly 15 years.

We like Soda Stream but were told at Bed, Bath and Beyond the one that uses the larger canisters isn't being made anymore. So we asked Soda Stream who informed us the Jet does. We ordered it and yes it does. We were thrilled but there is nowhere on any of their in-store or online descriptions to indicate that. They must make more money on the smaller canisters, but that is a shame. Anyway this one does and works great.

I have trouble drinking just plain water... I don't like it for some reason. So I buy sparkling water, usually flavored, which is expensive and questionable (fluoride, chlorine, flavors, etc). I had been looking at this for several years actually, and never bought one until I saw it was such a fabulous deal on amazon. So I finally ordered it and I'm so excited that now I can make my own sparkling water with whatever flavors and know exactly what's in it, not to mention the cost savings! Score!

I had an old Soda Stream carbonator and the valve was failing (which happens after 5-8 years), so I needed a new one. The retail kits cost upwards of $100, which is really pricy, but I could order this replacement chassis and a few additional liter bottles for under $35, which was perfect. You can also buy replacement CO2 bottles for reasonable prices (though I already had a few), so this wound up a real value. The bonus? The company has modified the gas overflow valve so the carbonator is WAY quieter than the old models, so if you're thinking of replacing or upgrading your SodaStream, this is perfect.

We have been using Soadastream for years. We only make seltzer to add to cocktails and our kids add a bit of fruit juice to a fun bubbly drink. It is so much cheaper and easier than buying seltzer at the store and we can use our filtered water. We even take it with us when we travel. I love, love, love my Soadastream!

I had a very old Soda Club version of this device I'd been using for years. Soda Club was the original brand before they started calling it SodaStream. I already had canisters and bottles so all I needed was the basic injector. I appreciated the fact I could buy a basic model without all the accessories I didn't need. Works fine. Simple operation. Backward compatible with all accessories. Fair price. Very satisfied.

All plastic but I love it. I am the only one who drinks soda water in my house and buying small bottles each time seemed like a waste of money so I invested in this device. I added the adapter with the 12oz paintball tank to get $4 refills. The total was about $60 to get it running but considering if I bought one liter of club soda it would be $1.99 each time so after 30 soda bottle fills it would pay for itself. I also love how I can control the amount of carbination.

I have been using another model SodaStream for eight months. I got used to drinking sparkling water with just a few minerals added for flavor and maybe a little lemon. I drink a lot of it, even at work (with the 1/2L bottles). I purchased a few of the 120L CO2 bottles for this unit. I refill my own CO2 containers with food grade dry ice, so the larger bottles will extend the time between when I need to refill (manual refill is a bit of a pain). Just some info for new users; You probably will not save much money using a carbonation device like this. I enjoy making sparkling water that I control the mineral content (flavor) in, that is why I use this. If you like syrupy sodas you may be better off skipping this and buying the store brands of soda. Once the syrup goes in, you cannot taste the water anyway. Either way, it is more convenient than going to the store for gallons of carbonated drinks. Be aware that the 60L bottle only holds about 14.5 ounces of CO2, that supposedly can make up to 60L of soda. The reusable plastic soda bottles seem to be of surprisingly good quality. I just rinse with warm water and soap so I cannot vouch on how well they hold up in a dish washer. I have been using the same two 1/2L bottles at work for eight months and they basically look and function like new. I have three of the 1L bottles that mostly live in the refrigerator, those bottles are holding up nicely also.

I really enjoy the unit. -Just remember to press hard on the button. If you don't the soda will come out flat. -Put the bottle in the sink when putting in the syrup, and put the syrup in VERY slowly (It foams up really bad). -cold water holds more fizz. I recommend chilling the water in the fridge over night before making soda. -I use 5 two second pumps of CO2 per bottle. -I have made 12 bottles of soda on one CO2 bottle and it is still going strong. I highly recommend this unit to anybody. It is fun and convenient.

This thing is great. It surprisingly makes a nice tasting diet soda, I'm a little aggressive on the fizz but it tastes just like store bought or even fountain drinks from a restaurant. I bought the 130L CO2 tank to go with it for $55 ($30 refill) I don't think this will save me any money over buying generic diet soda or soda water for $1/2L but I no longer have to lug home those bottles and then dispose of them when done. I used the soda stream flavoring and it tastes fine.
