very durable
I was really impressed on how durable these bags are. I bought one for a motorcycle trip and just strapped it on the back of my bike. After 2100 miles of chaffing, it never even showed signs of wearing through. I went through rain for about 2 hours and everything was dry. It's a great bag for the price.

After reading the description, I purschased a small and medium bag. Pictured you see the small bag, big enough to fit a thin towel, 6 cans of beer, cellphones, keys, and dress. I returned the medium bag because it was larger than I needed. I took the small bag tubing down the river and accessed it in the water several times. Never did my items get wet. The bag did not leak. I was a little surprised there is no zipper, but I didn’t have any problem with water getting inside. I did not have the bag submerged for an extended period of time.

Perfect!
I purchased this bag on a whim before my trip to Hawaii, and I'm SO glad I did. I got the 20L version and it was the perfect size, and the included straps for wearing it as a backpack are lifesavers. I took this bag on a hike to a waterfall with water 30-feet deep and wore it like a backpack in the water, over top my life vest. I also took it whenever I went to the beach and wanted to take a dip in the ocean. I was a solo traveler and didn't want to have to worry about keeping an eye on my stuff on the sand while I was in the water; I just took the whole bag with me into the water. It floats as promised, even if I let all the air out of the bag first before closing it. In this 20L version, I was able to fit a full-size bottle of sunscreen and a bottle of bug spray, 2 medium-size towels, a pair of water shoes, a swimsuit, a journal, bottle of water, and my wallet. The instructions say to roll the top down 4-5 times before clipping the bag closed, but I found if I stuffed the bag full and could only roll it down 2-3 times, it would still be waterproof sealed. I think this bag would be a perfect companion for any wet/dry activities like the water park, canoeing, stand up paddle-boarding, etc.

Perfect for kayaking!
Updating my review to 5 stars for great customer service and for sending a replacement bag free of charge. The bag worked as advertised and kept all of my items dry! Perfect for kayaking or floating down the river.

worth the investment
though not "cheap", these MARCHWAY dry bags rock! construction is solid, seams are stout, roll top functions properly as does click fastener (plastic). bought for extended beach trip (larger size) & put all sorts of "stuff" into this sucker - worked like a champ! grime & dirt wipe off easily w/ plain soap & a little water, capacity options are great, color options are groovy but most of all (larger ones), the backpack style straps feature is awesome! absolutely recommend these bags. rained like the dickens on a couple occasions & all our gear (iPhones, digital camera, lenses, accessories, cloths, beach towels, even snacks...) remained perfectly & completely dry as a bone. one day, we had to "hike" a ways to actually get to the beach, got caught in a heavy downpour (heavy & extended) but the MARCHWAY didn't blink. it took it w/ no problem whatsoever. i don't know for sure if it "floats" as that experiment never presented itself. however, ours got extremely soaked more than once & it does what it says it will. we'll get a few other sizes of these for sure - they're just that worth the investment and for toting a lot of gear, the straps are very comfortable, fully adjustable & very handy to have to keep your hands free. we love this product - highly recommend it.

Great Bag!
Overall, this is a great product. I work as a commercial seaplane pilot in the Bahamas, and wanted to upgrade my pilot bag to something waterproof, high visibility, and easy to carry/use. I ended up buying two of these bags: One was the 10L Hi-Vis Orange bag, and the other was the 20L Hi-Vis Yellow bag. I'll review both, starting with the 10L. 10L Bag: One thing you have to keep in mind with these bags is that they require 3-4 folds before you buckle the top closed to be effectively waterproof. What this means is that the bags are not as tall as you would think just looking at them in the package. I haven't actually attempted to measure the size of the bag when it is closed to see if it is actually 10L, but I would assume the overall space is reduced when closed (especially depending on how many folds you put in before closing it). With this being said, I can easily recommend the 10L for 3-4 medium sized handheld items (which I will specify now). For myself, I stored an aviation headset bag (measures about 6x4x10 [LxWxH]), a pilot logbook (6x2x12), my passport booklet, sunscreen, and an ipad mini. It was snug, but I could still get 3 rolls and latch the bag shut without any problems. Initially this was okay, but I wanted a little more room so that I could bring extra items like extra clothes, bandages, water, etc. as my days are long and spent in the sun. Now, I carry the 10L bag with me (Folded up nicely in my 20L bag) as an extra buoy if I have to cut an anchor line. These bags are air tight when closed properly and will hold any residual air inside once closed. All I have to do now is blow a little air in the bag, roll it, latch it, and it is a buoy or flotation device. The 10L bag is great if you don't have TOO much stuff to carry, but I'd caution you to go with the larger option if you are unsure and aren't confined to a small space for the bag. 20L Bag: The 20L bag functions the same way as the 10L, but supplies twice the space. I have plenty of room for all of the items mentioned above, and some. An added benefit is that the 20L comes with 2 straps instead of one, so I can wear it as a backpack when walking around the islands. Beyond that, there really isn't much difference at all between the bags. Pros: -The bags are simple to use and versatile -The color options are great, especially if your use for the bag may end up with the bag falling overboard -The bags will float when sealed properly -No water has been found in my bags yet (but I'd still add extra caution and seal anything you absolutely can't get wet in another plastic bag as well) Cons: -Folding the bag over eliminates some space, which means you need to plan your space utilization carefully if you want a waterproof bag! -The bag is not designed to be submerged for more than a few seconds... it is waterproof when floating (which is what it does). If you force it underwater for too long, the pressure of the water may force some liquid into the bag Overall, I'd say this is a great, CHEAP, and simple product. Take it from someone who's out on the ocean all day: it works!

Does What It Should
Bought this bag to keep my camera and a change of clothes dry while kayaking. The strap also clips to deck lines to secure it to the boat. My bag has been drenched, submerged, splashed, you name it, and the contents have stayed dry. Definitely recommend.

The size works great. Fit a towel
I bought the 20L to prepare for floating in the summer and used it a week later for kayaking. The size works great. Fit a towel, water bottle, wallet, keys, shirt, shorts, and still had some room to spare. Great size for a day trip and comfortable to wear with the wide straps.

Excellent dry bag for kayaking and other water activities
I got this dry bag so that I could take my cell phone, camera, and a few other things with me when I'm kayaking. It is the perfect size. In fact, it's a little roomy, so I can also add things like a towel and snack. The bags seem heavy-duty, and they work by placing your stuff in them, rolling the top down a few times, and then using the clips to snap it closed. It isn't waterproof forever if it is completely submerged, and it isn't intended to be. It keeps things dry in rain and splashes from kayaking, and if it goes into the water, you have a few minutes to pick it up again. Hint: don't squish all the air out when you close it. I squish out a little air before I roll down the top, but I leave a lot in the bag because it floats a lot better with some air in it. It will float if you squish all the air out, but it seems to bob better with some air inside. Also, because I am paranoid, I do "double-bag" my electronic gear. Meaning, I put my cell phone and camera in zip-lock plastic bags before I put them in the dry bag as a bit of extra insurance. Keeping a towel in the bag is also very useful if you take things in and out of the dry bag since you can dry off any moisture on your hands or the bag. I also really like the adjustable strap, since I can sling it over my shoulder and across my body very easily to carry it. The strap also makes it easy to attach the bag to the kayak to make sure it does not spill out in rougher weather or waves. The dry bag is well worth the cost (in fact, I bought two of them) and does a very good job protecting electronics, clothing, and/or food in damp/wet situations. It's wonderful for protecting stuff (like your Kindle) when you go to the beach.

Great buy
Great buy. Bought for floating the river. Water did not go inside. We got the 30ml it was bigger than expected everyone of course wanted to add things inside we fit many shirts and 2 beach towls in with room to spare. Only thing was we got black and it did get hot inside but we had warm towls at the end :)
