Wonderful Tool for Providing Deep Touch/Pressure for Children

As an occupational therapist, I use this lap pad often with my patients who like and/or need added deep touch/pressure. They love the soft "fur" and the just-right weight it provides while working seated tasks at the table. Some of the children like to snuggle up with it while they engage in mindfulness/meditation activities. Overall, it is very well-made as evidenced by the fact it is still in good shape after a LOT of handling by active young people!

Adorable! That is what my children said when they saw it. It is really soft and a good weight. Actually my daughter has been sleeping with it over her stomach for calming at bedtime. I like that it is longer and wider than ones I have seen...so that it covers more of the body.

My son is 8 years old and suffers from symptoms of ADHD and sensory processing. His occupational therapist recommended this weighted lap pad because they use it in therapy and she knew that he loved it. It arrived within two days of ordering, even without Amazon Prime or expedited shipping. It is extremely soft and the face is adorable. A very huggable but also functional lovey for my rambunctious son. He likes to have it on his lap when he's reading or watching television and also sleeps with it at night. We ordered it along with a Huggaroo weighted blanket and he sometimes starts the night by putting both of them on his chest.
