So like I'm sure you all have heard before, "you get what you pay for" Very true with this product. I had the cheaper version before and this one is soooo much better! It is very stable and you can feel the quality vs the cheaper version. I can drive 80 down the highway with out any concern of my kayak falling off or even moving slightly. I urge anyone who is thinking about this product vs the cheap ones to go ahead and spend the extra money. You won't regret it.

Product arrived on time. Instructions were clear, and easy installation. Liked being able to lock the carrier to the rack, and the dual position of the unit. I'm still not sure how to load the second kayak if in 90 degree mode. Seems it could be difficult to get a boat on the roof and position it upright across the roof. A video would be helpful (only found videos for loading outside boat and not the inside one)

Barely fit my Whispbar rack but very secure once I got it on. Did not budge after a 10 hr drive with a kayak attached. Fairly quiet when folded down. Solidly constructed & seems built to last.

Even just in your hand, you can tell that this is a high-quality product. We had no problems with the Hull-A-Port XT itself, but getting it set up properly is definitely tricky. Especially if you are using this with 2 kayaks, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. It took us a couple of tries before we got all of the tie-downs right and felt comfortable with it on the highway. (We had a removable, thin SportRack roof rack on a Camry, which definitely made it harder - thicker/wider roof racks will be much more stable.) Make sure you tighten the Thule onto your roof racks; on a windy highway at 70 mph, one gust shifted the Thule. We got out, pushed it back and tightened it further, and had no problems after. Don't be afraid to add more straps if you're traveling on a highway, and do a shorter test drive beforehand. TL;DR - This product is great, but you absolutely have to make sure you are using it correctly.

LOVE this rack. Easy to use, love that it folds down, and by far the simplest of racks to use. I have no issue getting a 12'pungo up on top of my RAV4 and securing it all by myself. HIGHLY recommend this rack.

I wanted to carry 2 to 3 kayaks on my Lexus GX 460 SUV, which has the factory cross-bars for the roof rack. Those have minimal clearance to the roof. These worked perfectly since bolts don't hang down below the cross-bars, and I love the foldable feature when not in use. I can even park in a standard 7 foot garage.

We love them. We had another brand for years but this is far superior. Sturdy, doesn’t rock. So easy to put on. I just watched. a YouTube video. The strap holders are great but you need to have them in exactly the right place before you put the kayaks up. Buy these!

Easily attached to Chevy Equinox OEM bar. Ties down and transports two Kayaks. Belt strap guides at top are fairly poorly attached -- a screw one one of them sheared off after the first use, but it isn't a critical component, so we just left it off.

Works so well. I think the locks to keep it on should be included with this. You do need cross rails. We use this to put up two kayaks on the roof of our SUV. Need two people to put up the kayaks. Love that they collapse

These were very easy to put on the car. They held the Kayak great. We used them for vacation and there was no wobble. They were secure the whole time. They were worth the money.
