When I first researched these I was unsure how they would fit compared to shoe sizes and while I normally wear a 10~11 (depending on the shoe brand) I went with the 10 instead of rounding up to the 11 as most people recommend because 11s were out of stock at the time. When I initially received them the straps were way too tight but the otherwise were spot on the right size and comfortable. I originally considered returning them because of the tight strap issue but instead I decided to see if they would just break in a little. Honestly it was mainly just because I was leaving on vacation in a couple of days and needed sandals, and my only other option was those the thin foam ones, which I cannot stand. But much to my pleasant surprise after wearing them for a few hours they loosened up a bit and are now by far the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. I don't wear sandals that often so I have no doubt that I am going to own these for a very long time. Also the Bottle opener came in surprisingly handy while on vacation.

I like mine a little loose. I wear 11/11.5 shoes depending on style and buy these in a 12. They take about two days for the straps to loosen but are NEVER uncomfortable. These are my fourth pair of Reef's and they still feel like the first pair. Great arch support (I have planar fasciitis and need arch support, these have it) wonderful cushioning without being soft. Just buy any type of Reef's and you won't be disappointed.

If you live in an area where you will wear flip flops frequently, this is the way to go. Sure - they are a bit more expensive, but well worth the money for daily use. So the other day I was tidying up and noticed my husband's shoes had several holes. I informed him of this fact and he said that he "knew". Sigh. I threw them out and ordered these. He reports: 1. Very comfortable. They have extra padding in the back composed of a rubber sole. This is nice to have in a flip flop and hopefully will prevent holes in the future. 2. Fit perfectly. My husband wears a size 13, which is what I ordered. Fit like a glove. Phew. 3. Water resistant. This is good since we live in Florida. It rains every day. And there are several pools and oceans. Win-win. 4. There is a freaking bottle opener on the bottom of the shoe. Enough said. Great buy - and I expect these to last quite a while.

These are the flip-flops by which all others are measured. I bought a pair from another company, and ended up giving them to my son - because they were too small. I am a size 12, but flip-flops are notoriously undersized. These are sized correctly. They will mold to your feet in time and become inseparable friends. The bottle opener on the bottom allows me to know that I can pop open a Red Stripe at any time. And even though I work 16 hour days and never vacation at all - at least I know that I could open a Red Stripe with my flip-flops were I ever to one day do that. The strap and thong are comfortable and well aligned with the axis of the shoe - I am not sure why that is so hard to accomplish for most sandal companies. The air cushioned heel is just right - enough cushion for comfort, but not so much that you begin to lose balance on odd surfaces or stairs. My most recent order is my third pair. The strap wears out in about 4 years, and I find it hard to toss my old pair in the trash, wanting to take a selfie with them first. Now I am in my new Reef Fanning Bottle Openers - ready to take on my basement office again in style and comfort...

Just purchased my second pair of these because the first are worn down after a couple years. The "Fanning II" has the same materials, fit, everything as "Fanning I" (original); only discernible difference is the new logo. Also, the new pair is made in Vietnam, old pair was made in China. Great looking flip flop, very comfortable for all day use, and durable. Highly recommend.

I normally regret 99% percent of the decisions I make when I'm drunk. I accidentally ordered these when I was. My old pair of reefs broke a few weeks ago (different model, but they lasted for three years) and I was walking to the pool barefoot. I said "I really need a new pair of reefs", so I bought these on the Amazon app with the One-Click Buy-Now button. I normally wouldn't spend quite $60 on a pair of flip flops and I regretted placing the order the next morning when I sobered up. However, now that they've arrived and I've been wearing them all evening, I'm glad I got another pair of Reefs. The quality is great and I'm sure they will hold up just like my last pair. I went half a size smaller because I was drunk as well, I normally wear a 11.5 and the 11M fits better actually in these.

These are great sandals, SO much more comfortable than standard flip-flops. I think it's the arch support combined with how well the top strap holds. I could never go back to flat flops. They are well made, but not indestructible, the toe thong will break eventually, this is my second pair of this exact model and 3rd Reef shoe overall. All eventually broke at the toe, but last enough years to be worth the cost IMO.

I am in love with these flip flops!! Always been a sandal wearer. I usually go through a couple pair a year because they don't hold up or are uncomfortable. These are neither. Glad I finally came off some $$ and bought a nice pair. Worth every penny. The bottle opener in the sole is cool, but I'll never use it. I drink my beer out of a can!

I'm a ten, when they arrived to small for me, so I reordered the 11, super fine now. For years I only wore the Nunn Bush version of this product. However, now for some reason, they are nowhere to be found for reorder., as I only wear them every single day, exclusively, , I'm retired and live in San Diego, therefore there is never a need to wear anything else. These are nicer, more comfortable and hopefully more durable, Nunns Bush which have never endured more than a year. If I get a year out of these I'm like super happy. Comfort to me is absolute foremost. These cost a pretty penny, but you really do get what you pay for, costs them more to make. I don't give a darn about the bottle opener, I brought these strictly for comfort. They appear quite durable..

I purchased a pair of Reef sandals from the local big box store, and thought that I had a women's model because of the heel support. After I wore that pair out, I started to miss that cushion! My yard is full of sharp surprises, and regular closed cell foam sandals get paper thin real fast. And since I'm flat-footed, all my weight goes onto the heel. So that heel support really helps. After trying dozens (literally) of different sandals at many price points, that Reef pair lasted far longer than any other. My new ones are also lasting. Jagged rocks, broken glass and even pieces of rebar left sharp end up don't penetrate, or even leave a mark on the soles. Size matches my shoe size pretty well. They're a bit snug at first, but with wear they can easily be slipped into & out of. I can't imagine any use for the bottle opener (glass bottles at the beach is a no-no) but if we were ever kidnapped from a tropical vacation, MacGyver could probably use the bits of steel to free us. ;)
