Not your average magnetic catch

These are bigger, they're beefier, and they're stronger than a typical magnetic catch. If you use these to keep a kitchen cabinet door closed, you might end up wanting to switch to a bigger door pull. The contact area is nice and big, but they still want to make direct contact in order to grip, so place them carefully. There's some play built into the screw placement on the magnetic side, which makes it easier.

Really heavy duty

I made a couple cabinets with storage on the doors - the doors are made from 3/4 ply, are almost 5' tall, and are stacked with quart cans of paint. In short, there is a LOT of weight on that door... to the point where it can warp the main carcass and the door can pull down 1/16" when it's closed. I am incredibly happy with the ability of these catches to keep the doors closed. If I hadn't found these I would have had to order rare earth magnets and make my own, which would have cost as much money. They come with all the necessary hardware as well. Great job making a great product!

Highly recommended, works great

High quality METAL door catch with STRONG magnets. I used a set of secure my closet doors. I also ordered another set to secure the pantry doors of my RV. Highly recommended, works great.

Perfect solution for our project!

These work great. We have a cabinet built out of composite wood along with our outdoor decking. The doors are flush with the sides. It was so simple to attach a stop on the inside of the doors and attach these two pieces to the doors and stops. They hold firm yet open well with a simple decorative knob on the outside. I am very happy with the results!

Exactly what we needed.

We have a wall hanging to cover an electrical panel to keep people from touching it (it's in a main hallway) and, it's just plain ugly. We had it closed with Velcro strips, but each time we'd have an inspection, or need to use the panel it would loose a little more adhesion. We thought about a latch, but those are pretty ugly. And decided on hidden magnets. Since the hanging doesn't hang perfectly straight the magnets had to be pretty strong, plus, to discourage people from opening it randomly. (If it doesn't open easily, they probably won't force it.) These work perfectly! Strong enough to keep it closed and you even have to tug a little, but not so strong that it's ridiculous. I probably could have hung the whole hanging with them! I will be purchasing these again for future projects. (Since people will be questioning - yes, we've had kids open the panel when parents weren't watching. It's a door - they're curious. This just keeps everyone safe.)

Great Quality Product

These magnetic door catches are great. Very sturdy, solid product with a very strong magnet. The only comment I have is that the countersink for the screw holes on the catch plate are an incorrect size/angle for the provided screws so that the screw head is not completely flush with the plate surface when installed. I just swapped out the screws with smaller ones I had on-hand and everything works perfect. Love these things.

Excellent cabinet door catch from JQK Hardware

We live in an OLD house where all cabinets, doors, windows, etc, are different sizes. Finding a door catch to work in my house has been very difficult but I finally found something that works GREAT on any size door so far. Excellent quality.

Strong Little Buggers

I needed a way to hold a hidden door closed without using an electromagnetic system. I bought the 30 lb. set of these catches and like them very much. I put one catch on the top half of the door, and one on the lower half. They hold the door with enough strength that you will not be able to open it without having a solid pull mechanism. They are great magnetic catches for anything you want to be held firmly but can be pulled away when needed.

Strong magnetic catch "60 lb"

This is a powerful magnet. Mounted on two closet louvered doors. Both doors were not well hung so out oF alignment with frame. Catches mounted at top where there is a 1/4 gap. Previous small magnetic catches would fail to catch because gap was too great. These catch the door much better though door will still rebound away if swung closed with too much force. Takes a strong tug to open once catch connects. Seem to be good quality. Installation ph scews included.
