Works great, no complaints

Needed a hot plate for cooking in a small apartment. Did a lot of research, and settled on the Duxtop. Why? The big plus was the 1300 watt large burner. It heats up fairly quickly and has enough heat to handle everything I have asked it to do. With that large a burner the second one had to be smaller so as to not blow breakers. It keeps things warm just fine. When I am cooking a pasta meal I bring the pasta to a full boil on the large burner then move the pot to the preheated small burner to finish cooking as I cook my toppings on the big burner. Plus it is just a bit larger than other two burner units, so there is a little more room for two larger pans.

Gret product, highly recommended!

So far so good, just used it the first time yesterday and it brought a relatively small amount of water (about 2 cups) to a boil in just a few minutes. It took a bit longer than a typical stovetop but that's to be expected. I didn't realize it's castiron hot plates but it's not really an issue for me. I'll update the review if I begin to notice a loss in speed of heating or won't heat as hot as it currently does.

The larger burner is quite adequate to fry/stir fry enough food to serve 2 people, fry eggs, etc. The smaller burner has a lower heat rating. I am a fast cook and would have preferred for both burners to be high speed. I bought the plate because my kitchen has been gutted so I have set up a mini kitchen in the finished basement. This'll go on for eight weeks so I planned ahead. When the kitchen is done I intend to use the hot plate to keep food warm or for extra burners when entertaining, so the purchase will continue to be useful in the future. May even plug it in on the deck when entertaining. I am most satisfied with this purchase.

We use this cooktop when we go trailer camping and want to cook outdoors. It can’t be out in the rain but we like it for this purpose. It heats quickly.

Works great! Heats up well. No issues to report here.

My son has enjoyed using his new double hotplate. It's still new, but he expects to get a lot of use from it.

This hot plate works as advertised. The controls are easy to use and straight forward. We've only used it twice so far, however, it appears to be high quality.
