Solid base makes a difference!

The W3 webcam cover is the best I have used so far. The difference lies in the base. Many other webcam covers use a backless oval base - think the number 0 - with a slide inserted. This allowed the slide to pop out easily and frequently. The W3 has a solid backed base, which holds the slide much more effectively. The thin design is unobtrusive and does not stick out above the raised edges of my camera case, thus further ensuring that the W3 stays in place. This is the 3rd webcam cover I have tried. It has now lasted app. 45 days without falling off or coming apart, thus making it the best I have used so far.

Really nice so far

I have put these on three different computers so far (I have had them for about a week) and they seem to be working great. Really small, really easy to use, fairly easy to apply.

Perfectly Slim

I have a similar product on my 2015 MacBook Pro, but considering its size and the very slim margins in newer MBPs I didn't think this would be an option. On a whim I decided to poke around and see if there was a solution for my 2017 model, and thought I'd give these a try. I was impressed by the slim measurements and metal construction, which seemed like a durable solution so I gave them a shot. These are perfect! Installation was very simple, and thought was clearly put into the steps for adhering the slide just right. The cover slides seamlessly, and I haven't had the problem some other reviewers reported with the slide moving on its own even though I regularly carry my laptop in a bag on its side. These are definitely slim enough to make no contact with the laptop when closed - the camera alignment is such that this would hit and likely rub on the trackpad if contact was made. I followed the instructions closely, used a flashlight directed at the screen so I could clearly see the camera for alignment, and have zero issues using the camera. There are no partial blockages or "shadows" around the edges - the picture is perfect. I'm regularly in video calls for work, so I've definitely used this extensively. My wife was impressed enough that she asked me to put one on her 13" MBP and she's had the same highly positive experience. I have not, nor do I plan to install this on my phone or iPad. I was more concerned with the camera that's in my face 8 - 10 hours a day, and I'm not sure how this or any similar product would fare on a phone that's always going in and out of pockets. So if you're looking for a slim, and virtually invisible option to reliably cover your laptop camera (good bye tape!) I can't recommend this product strongly enough!

Works great, very thin and easy to install

The camera cover is indeed very thin as advertised. I bought it hoping to use it on my smart phone and it works perfectly for that application. I have a phone case that covers the back and sides of the phone, and the case slides into a holster. The sides of the case protrude above the screen by about a millimeter, and upon installing this camera cover I was able to confirm that it does not stick out above the case which means it will not be scraped off by my holster. Installation is a breeze because the seller thoughtfully includes a small strip of transparent tape for each camera cover. To install you first apply the tape to the black (outward facing) side of the camera cover, then remove the film on the back side which exposes the adhesive. Use the transparent tape on top to position the camera cover on your device, then press down and hold it. It's possible to remove and reposition it if initially went on crooked or needs to be adjusted. Once you're sure of the final position, gently remove the strip of transparent tape from the top surface and you're all set.

Effective and small! Perfect

just installed it on my new laptop last night. It was so little I was worried that i would not get it centered correctly. Using their instructions, which was weirdly worded by the way - was able to secure it correctly to my laptop. The camera is not obstructed in any way and it is so little that it allows my laptop to close all the way. Worth every penny. Glad I got the 5 pack. Will be installing one on my Amazon Show devices as well.

Easy to use and install -- have spares on hand if you have to send in a product for repair

This way, I know when the camera is on or off. Slide the shutter closed and no visibility. Very handy unless you forget it's on the computer and suddenly you are in a pandemic and Zooming with everyone and the camera doesn't work because this is so inconspicuous, you can miss it if you don't typically Zoom. Missed an entire meeting because it worked so well!

Invisible!

Great item. Easy use, and, if you buy the right color, it's invisible. Even if you buy a black cover for a white laptop, it's so small, it's barely noticeable. In fact, one problem I have is remember it's there, so I forget to close it. The one tricky point was aligning the hole in the cover with the camera on the iPad or laptop.

Great Product

These camera covers are a great product. I use them on my phones and laptops. Very high quality. The mounting assist tape (handle) is a nice touch, to ensure proper alignment. • Good quality materials • Doesn’t easily flip open by accident even on phone in a pocket. • Clear mounting assist tape helps you handle/position the cover before sticking it in the final position, it can then be pulled away and tossed out. Highly recommend!

Strong adhesive, sturdy construction

These are the ones with the slide firmly set into the track, not just a round disc stuck on there by magnetism. I made the mistake of buying the magnet ones before and the discs all got knocked off within a few days. The cover can't be popped out on these ones. 5/5

Perfect mini size

These are perfect for using on my mobile phone, which is what I wanted them for. I barely notice it's there but it does the job. I use them for my laptops and children's tablets as well, and they work great. I thought these were one I ordered in the past that didn't last very well, but these are actually smaller, thinner and more durable!
