Great little bits, that make threading standoff holes a breeze!

I've never used combination drill/tap bits before this.....but now I wonder how I've managed to live without them. I needed to drill and tap some holes into a piece of acrylic sheet for some PC board standoffs. I was having terrible luck using my drill and a separate tap set. I picked these up on a whim, even though some reviewers stated issues with them breaking when using them on steel. Obviously I shouldn't have any issue with a steel bit breaking off while drilling plastic, so I gave them a chance. Results? Quickly drilled holes, tapped perfectly. My standoffs and boards were mounted in record time. I highly recommend this product.....at least for anyone planning to use them with softer materials.

Convenient bits

Convenient bits to drill and thread holes, came in handy as I built a LED grow light where my LED cobs are attached via holders and screws. Only thing is to go slow when drilling and once the hole is made going back and forth with the drill to get the thread. Went to fast at first and bit broke off
