Save yourself money- only 3 bolts!
Well... This is my second one. First one off Ebay died after 20k miles on it. Dealer wants $210 Honda part, online $160+. Install is about 20 min (30 if you use U tube video). For first timers set aside an hour! Second time around just went straight to 3 bolts, less room but easily do-able; code went right off. Will update IF issue occurs with this one! Still up several hundred dollars bare minimium by doing it myself. If this helps, click the button! EDIT: OVER 1.5 YRS later and still going strong.

This totally shoved my problem on my 03 Element
Was having trouble with my 2003 Honda Element, got it scoped code came back as Oil Pressure Switch so I bought one for $74.00 at the local parts store after doing a little research and finding this Spool Valve Assembly VTEC Solenoid I took back the Oil Pressure Switch. installed the Spool Valve Assembly VTEC Solenoid and drove my Element over 250 miles today and my Element is running smoothly again. A video on youtube was a big help installing the Spool Valve Assembly VTEC Solenoid the youtube title is 2004 Honda Element P2646.

Error code is gone
I was getting a P2647 error code on my 2004 Honda CRV. Internet research indicated the problem was most likely this part or the Solenoids Camshaft Position Actuator. I bought both from Amazon and replaced them. So far, no more error code. If the code comes back I will update this.

Works!
On a Honda Element ,the part's location is partially hidden, so a little tricky to remove and install, but no fault of this product. All you need is a 10mm socket wrench (an extension also helps), needle nose pliers and some paper towels (to catch a bit of engine oil from the part you are replacing). I waited for the engine to cool down before starting, add some engine oil to the part (into the cavities and on the rubber seals), before installing and topped off the engine oil when finished. Note: Don't over-torque the bolts when installing, extracting the broken bolt is aggravating to say the least. Stripping the threads on the engine block - way beyond aggravating.

So far so good. Has a V-Tec spool assembly code on my '03 Element. Popped this thing on and goodbye code... along with the crazy bucking around 3K rpm.

Fixed my P2467 Code
Just what the doctor ordered. My car acted like it would hit a wall around 2800-3000 RPM, then I got a P2467 code for the VTEC actuator (which I checked with a Bluedriver code reader from Amazon - great purchase). My car is a manual, so an automatic will normally present differently with odd bucking and jumping under acceleration. The part from the dealer was a few hundred dollars, so I decided to order this. I'm glad I did. This worked like a charm. The car is now running fine and hopefully my gas mileage will be back to normal soon too. Installation was very easy with two wiring clips and three bolts for R&R. Thanks.

Fixed my leak immediately great product.
I replaced the gasket on the one in my car twice before I realized it was leaking from the actual unit. This complete replacement part fixed my leak as soo. As it was installed. For the price you can’t beat it.

Excellent fit compared to OEM - Solved problem
My 2006 threw an engine code that pointed to this part. Arrived next day, exact match - a couple bolts later and no code. Would highly recommend if needed.
