It works ad advertised, I built an marshall clone amp which I needed to completely take apart and rebuild. I only used one of the guns and about 10 inches of the wick to remove all the soldering. I prefer the gun for most everything the wick came handy when I needed to clean up solder from the backside of the pots.

Bought it for the wicks...

I didn't really need the desoldering pumps, but also didn't need three spoos of wick, which was the other option I found at the time, plus this was cheaper... so I figured, I'l go ahead and get the one with the pumps... The wick is perfect, and if you've never used is for desoldering... It's a must have. The pumps work well, and are good for removing the larger globs of solder around through-pins. It's a good value for the money.
