Great buy

I got this for use with Skype meetings. I've been told by the other participants that it sounds great, very clear. It was delivered on time. There is a button on the stand that doesn't stay down after pressing, so I'm assuming it's a mute button. There is no mention of it in the tiny 1 page doc that comes with the mike. Other than no doc on that button, I'm very happy with the mike and recommend it.

This is a serious microphone.

This is an impressive device, especially for the price. I was expecting something much smaller with less gain. I purchased it for my wife because she has to teleconference a few times a month and audio is always a challenge on those. But, this will also be used, and has been unofficially claimed, by my daughter for her video presentations. Eighth graders have to create videos now. It makes it feel like a studio setting just by the size.

Great for teachers

My wife teaches 2nd grade and needed a microphone that was not attached to the computer. We ordered this one and it works really well she uses it with several smart board programs. We wish we would have purchased it a long time ago.

New one installed--finally!

I ordered one that plugged into the computer and it didn't work and frustrated me because I wanted to use Cortana. I guess it was faulty. They sent me a new USB mic free of charge and that one worked great immediately with some help from Microsoft Community and You Tube--not as easy as the little direction that came with it but it does work and that's what counts. Thanks much. Great customer service.

Great sound at a great price.

I got this microphone to use when teaching my online ESL classes. I usually use a headset, but my headset has been malfunctioning lately, so I needed a good backup so I can make sure my student hear me clearly. Pronunciation is super important when teaching and this microphone easily picks up every sound so they can hear differences between b and p and d sounds, which could sound similar. I have limited space and this is a good size. I love the stand so I can be hands free and am able to use props when teaching. The sound is crisp and clear and the students can easily hear me.

Easy to use

I needed a microphone for a video I will be making with my grandfather! This one is great. Easy to set up, easy to use, sound is great and is exactly what I needed for my project.

As simple as it gets!

If you're looking for a desktop microphone to use for gaming, voice recording, or anything that has to do with voice, this USB microphone does the job. It's not overly HUGE, it comes with it's own stand, and it's a plug n play device. If you're up to date with current computer specs, you should have no problem getting this to work. I know there are other mics out there for either cheaper value or the more expensive ones, I DO HOWEVER, highly suggest this over all of them. The reason being is that it's value for the money factor just blows everything away. Not to mention quality too because the sound that you get from speaking normally about 12-24 inches away is actually great. This mic is made of nice quality metal and the stand is very sturdy and perfect to display on your desk. This mic is as close as you can get to the more expensive ones at half or fraction of the cost.

Crisp sound!

This microphone met beyond my expectations. It was easy to set up, and had a controllable volume knob. The legs are adjustable as well. When recording, the sound was very clear and it didn't seem to pick up any background noises. I think this is a great purchase for anyone not wanting to spend too much money, but get the same effect! I highly recommend.

Easy to set up

I ordered this to use with Voice over IP system interfaced through VPN to soft phone which it doesn't appear to be a good fit for but in testing I have done voice dictation tests with Word and Notepad and had great results with the dictation completed. I like the size and how stable it sits on the desk and the convenience of the on/off switch. I am certainly not displeased with what it can do for me for other recording applications.
