This piece is really well built and the inside welding is really nice. The paint is awesome and I am not sure if it’s a heat resistant paint or not. I cannot wait to install it and I’ll update images once I install.

I installed this on a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I cut the original muffler off the back of the exhaust, cut a 9 inch section out of the pipe running under the driver side floor, and installed this muffler there. For the install, I needed a saw and two clamps along with this muffler. For a muffler this inexpensive, I did not have high expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. The welds were actually pretty nice, not a lot of splatter. The paint is pretty good and they has not discolored in the first week of use. Once installed, it is certainly louder than the stock muffler, but it is quieter than my mud tires, so it is not a problem for me. It is a jeep, so I am used to it having a lot of road noise. In a car, this is probably a pretty loud exhaust. It is not a "tinney" sound, it is a nice, low exhaust tone. Other commenters have noted the paint burning off. I have not had that problem. It may be they installed it much closer to the engine. For me, it has been fine and I have driven the jeep to and from work all week with no issues. For my use, it as great as it has moved the muffler into a far less-exposed area for off-roading and saved me a bunch of weight. I would buy this again, it is a great deal.

For the price you really can’t complain. Single-Chamber means that it’s “performance,” high-airflow means high performance. It’s loud, but I’ve been running a cat-back delete in CA (exhaust dumps out of catalytic converter), so it’s not as loud as a muffler delete. This lets me stay street legal while minimizing engine backpressure and hopefully will be a solution to frequently burning out my cats and O2 sensors. As for the paint burning off during the first couple hours of use- avoid this by putting the muffler in the oven for a bit before installation. Automotive paint at this temperature has to be baked on and I’m not sure these were heated before shipping!

I have ordered this muffler to one of my customers since he wanted an muffler but his budget was tight, I have informed the him that I will not be responsible if he wasn’t Impressed since it wasn’t a known brand to me. Givin my knowledge on mufflers since it’s what I do for a living as a muffler shop owner, I am soooo stunned to the quality of the product and the welding structure for the price. It’s a definite go for me. “I am not sure how to upload a video to show the sound” I’ll be buying more to display at my shop and I really would like to check the stainless steel version of this muffler. Well done Amazon!!!!

Flowmaster is a great company and product, but really; this muffler is the exact same thing, only a third of the cost. The build quality is very good. It has a nice black coating. Whether it's REAL stainless or not, I don't know. It is magnetic, so there's that. It's about 5in center to center on the dual inlet/outlet, so depending on your vehicle, you made need to fab something up. I used cheap flex pipe. I have a 96 suburban, big block, all stock exhaust. It has 3in dual exhaust to a single muffler, factory. It was quiet.....with this, it's LOUD. Not obnoxious, and it does sound a bit like a simple muffler delete, but no rasp. It doesn't even have that much of a drone at highway speed; more of a deep rumble. When you get above 2500 RPM, you can really hear it, and it does sound good. For $37, you really can't beat it. I think I paid that much in parts to fit it to my truck....that's my particular truck. If you have a single exhaust, get the right size muffler, and it'll slip right on without any modifications.

Sounds great on my Honda pilot. Red paint burnt off smells like your car is on fire for a few days. Makes my 3.5 v6 sound like a v8. Car guys look at me a little confused when I go by. 🤣

Well designed The muffler place I went to here in town installed this in about 25 min.. after removing the resonator and factory muffler, then installing this unit.. the guys were so impressed they took videos to post online. Sounds amazing, and for what you pay I'd say you get more than your monies worth.. Unleash the beast within!!!

Great sounding muffler would 100% buy these again and would recommend to anyone wanting the sound of a flowmaster for a fraction of the price.

Sounds exactly the same as a flowmaster 10 for a fraction of the price
