Great full depth steaming basket for your Instant Pot, other pressure cooker, any pot with a > 8.5" dia / 5.5" depth. This steaming basket is much better than the shallow silicon or metal steaming baskets that one can buy. * It is full depth. So the food being steamed doesn't fall out. * It has fine mesh. So one can pressure cook a chicken to make stock and not have bones in the stock. * It has feet. So you don't need to add a rack to the bottom to elevate the feet. The basket I purchased fits perfectly in my Duo 80. I think the price is a bit high. However, it is well-made, sturdy and shiny. When I make boiled eggs, I just put all eggs in the basket and place it in the inner pot. When it is ready, I just pick up the basket with the red handle. I don't need a tong to move one by one. You can do the same for potatoes and other veggies. The basket is especially useful when you steam for example cut potatoes. Unlike the trivet, small pieces won't fall into the water and melt away.

Great food remover!

I'm new to using an IP. The first food I cooked was hard boiled eggs. I used the trivet included with the IP and then tongs to remove the hot eggs. My next item was broccoli. After that I decided my first accessory purchase would be a basket to contain the hot foods for removal from the pot without spillage. This one works nicely. The strainer basket is tightly woven which made it easy to rinse my rice before cooking. I love the ease in emptying the pot now when cooking eggs etc. A good buy!

Very happy: perfect functionality for the IP AND other pots!

I wish I'd bought this months ago! I never use the IP's "basket" because it's useless, and even the lotus-style steamer basket I've been using isn't foolproof: sometimes, in the process of removing it from the IP, stuff slips out. This, on the other hand, holds everything securely, and the handle makes it so easy to pull out the whole kit and kaboodle while the pot is still hot. For example, I no longer have to fish hard-boiled eggs out with a tablespoon and then set them individually into ice water: I can just lift out the basket and plunk the whole thing right into ice water. Mine has been washed many times in the dishwasher (top shelf, handle down) and I've had no problem with the handle or the red gripper. Finally, it fits into several of my other pots so--surprise--I now have a handled basket that will eliminate the problems I mentioned above trying to get the traditional lotus-style out of a hot pan without, for example, a piece of broccoli slipping into the steaming water. I bought the 6 quart size for my 6-quart IP Duo. I'm very happy with this purchase: I will now use it for all steaming functions with or without the IP.

Love this Steamer!!

What a great steamer basket that fits perfectly inside my 6 qt. Instant Pot Ultra!! It's very sturdy, has a removable handle and has feet so it sits up out of any liquid below. It comes to within 3/4" of the top of the Instant Pot insert, so in other words, there's lots of space for your favorite foods! I've used it already to make my own pizza sauce by steaming Roma tomatoes and onions in the basket. Even ran it through the dishwasher and it came out with no problems. If I have to buy another one, this is the one I'm getting again. It's about as perfect as a steamer basket can be!

Nice addition w/ the Instant Pot

I almost didn't buy this as $29 seemed a little steep. But it's a nice addition to the Instant Pot. Pop in your eggs and then you can easily take them out to chill in ice water w/ out having to individually pull each egg. You can steam in it. You can take a frozen pound of ground beef and cook it in here in a few minutes and boom, a base to many dinners is ready. So if you are using your Instant Pot, this is a super nice option to have handy.

Love this steamer basket!

Love this steamer basket! I make a lot of bone broth & stocks in my Instant Pot. This fits in there perfectly & I just lift it out when my broths or stocks are done cooking for very fast straining! It's also the perfect steamer basket for shrimp, vegetables & hard cooked eggs! It has made my life in the kitchen so much easier that I really don't know how I got along without this handy steamer basket for as long as I did. Clean up is a breeze if you use a brush and some dish soap & run it under hot water. I haven't put it in the dishwasher yet, mainly because I use it almost everyday & only run the dishwasher like once a week. You won't be disappointed if you buy one!

Perfect for Instant Pot steaming

Just used it for the first time steaming a pound of baby spinach leaves in my Instant Pot. It seems like a sturdy tool, one I have been waiting a long time to find for the Instant Pot. It goes through the dishwasher just fine. I used a pot holder to grip the handle when the spinach was cooked. It is one of those kitchen gadgets that brings me joy because it solves a real problem of how to steam vegetables off the water in the Instant Pot.

Fits perfectly in my 5qt instant pot. I like that I can take off the handle and I like the height of the legs. Well done.
