Great charger!

So far this charger has been great, feels very quality compared to my last one and has a low amp charging option too. If you want a charger that can also jump start if needed this is a great value for money.

Light weight and works well.

The charger works as advertised. As with any charger it is important to remove any latent surface charge from the battery so the charger can read an accurate voltage. I found this charger read accurate battery charge. If you find it was at say 70% while charging, you disconnect and reconnect and it says 100% that is the surface charge. Turn your headlight on for 30 seconds before connecting the charger the second time and it will read accurately.

Everyone should have one of these.

Bought this for my son. He uses it on the farm for his John deer tractor. It was one of the BEST GIFTS I have ever given him. I would recommend this for everyone to keep in their car.

The price is right

Works. Charges. You have to encourage it a bit on dead batteries as it sometimes registers them as no good. Just keep turning the unit on and off and it will eventually start charging.

Great charger

I waited awhile to write a review so I could test it out. Easy to hook up and decent charging speed. I've seen others say that it cuts off after a certain period of time. I thought the same thing at first but even though you don't hear it the unit continues to charge and shuts off when fully charged.

Very happy was my choice.

My old Schumacher battery charger didn’t seem to be working at all. It was time to replace it and I chose another Schumacher because I know they are a quality product. I hooked it to my battery that had sit all winter totally drained. I didn’t know if their was any hope but I checked periodically and after a few hours it was at 100%. Very easy to understand and use.

Schumacher is a very good brand...

We had an old Schumacher literally for over a decade, and it just finally died. This one is much more functional for our times. It won't let you make a mistake with reverse polarity. It gives excellent digital readings on what's going on while it charges. It won't let you over charge your battery. Haven't tried the "jump start" feature yet, but I'm convinced it will work fine. Yes, I would purchase again.

Quick, Effective and Safe

I am very happy with this unit, it charges both of my Cummins' batteries at once, but isn't too much horsepower to use as a trickle charger.
