I must share that this wall heater really does keep the chill out of small to medium sized rooms. I bet in a smaller bedroom this heater would really keep the space warm. I wanted a heater with low wattage for the living room and this one is perfect. It stays on all day and night, without the thermostat and really does keep the space warm. This is nothing like a fan forced heater and will not keep you warm enough on a really cold day, but it does keep the chill out. I use a 1500 watt fan forced heater as a back up in the living room on really cold days, 30 degrees and below to keep the room very toasty. But this alone does make a big difference in medium to small rooms. I love this heater and want a second one for the bedroom. There is no noise, it's not hot to touch and mounting it was not to much of a hassle. I had this mounted by myself in 30 minutes. Be sure to turn this on at least the night before you plan to use the room it's in, because it radiates the heat through the room. But once it's been on for a while the heat stays in the room and it's actually warm. I went into a room without heat and compared to that, the living room was toasty on a day it didn't get above 35 degrees

I was in the market for a low energy heater that I could install and leave always on if necessary. I'm so use to forced air heaters that it's a nice change to use a panel heater instead. This doesn't have any moving parts thus there's no noise, no fan or vents to clean. There are radiator looking heaters out there as well but they're not as aesthetically pleasing as this type. The difference though is how hot it gets. Radiator type heaters can heat up a small room more quickly as it has more surface area and takes a lot more electricity to run. This heating panel uses only 400 watts. It can attach to the wall and can be painted over. This is perfect for a basement especially for the budget conscious landlord or resident that worries about high cost of electricity. Wire this to a timed switch outlet and you should minimize power costs and waste throughout the cold seasons.

I bought this unit as a replacement for a similar product that had failed after about 10 years of winters. It does it's job well, which is to raise the temperature of our kitchen. The room has no heat outlet of it's own and the flow-through from the rest of the house needs a little help to keep the room comfortable. I really appreciate the thermostat. It works perfectly. These units don't usually come with one and they're not particularly cheap. The mounting hardware is nicely designed and comes with very easy to use dry-wall anchors. The unit is paintable and I did paint this one to blend into the wall. Some other reviewers mention smells. The box this one came in had a very odd smell, but that was just the box and did not stay with the unit. The unit itself did have a pretty strong "electrical" smell right out of the box. I'd call it a burn-in smell. It's mentioned in the instructions, and as those instructions indicated, the smell subsided after a few days of use and is no longer noticeable. Overall I'm completely satisfied with the purchase and do recommend the unit.

This little heater was SO easy to install and it heats our freezing cold basement (about 700sq ft) beautifully! We have tried so many different kinds of space heaters down there and by far this is our favorite!

The heater is great for very small spaces. I have installed it in a powder room we built in a mudroom that is connected to the back our home. It includes a mounting template which makes it very easy to install and has a very slim profile. You do need to have a fairly large wall space to mount it and I think it would be most effectively mounted close to the floor since, you know, heat rises. It does give off a mild inoffensive odor the first few days it is on and it took about 24 hours to heat up my completely un-insulated powder and mudroom, but now it's quite comfortable. I've since ordered a plug-in thermostat that can be used to automatically turn the unit off and on to maintain a specific temperature and be programmed to manage the temperature throughout the weekdays and weekends. I also ordered the heat protector shield because I had to install it chest height next to the sink and didn't anyone to feel as though they might be burned. So far so good! Very happy with my purchase.

We have used similar products like this before and found issues with cracking of the panel. This product advertises they have taken measures to improve their product to reduce cracking of the panel in shipping. From what we have seen, they have succeeded, the panel arrived in tact, with no cracks and the installation with template was a lot easier than I thought it would be. This heater panel is installed in our bathroom and provides just the right amount of heat to stave off the cold mornings. We live in Alaska, so the longer we can wait to run our boiler results in a huge cost savings.

These are far superior to space heaters and use a third of the electricity. Can be placed under a window to offset incoming cold air as opposed to heating it once it's in the room. Just like the old steam radiators.

We are glad that we read the reviews here and were careful to inspect the panels upon arrival for flaws. One out of the four we ordered was sent back due to a flaw in the material and the replacement we ordered was fine. There was an extremely strong "chemical" smell on the panels and the shipping materials/instruction sheet were permeated with it. The weather was nice so we kept all the boxes and materials on the patio until we made sure the panels were operational. Then we wiped the panels down with a damp cloth, plugged them in and allowed them to off-gas outside for an afternoon. We then painted one side of two of them to match the walls where they were going (low-VOC latex enamel paint, two coats). A roller designed for smooth surfaces worked best for this process. Then we plugged them in again to off-gas again outside. Before installation my husband determined where the mounting screws would go into the wall, then cut some thin, reflective insulation to a size that fits just inside the mounting hardware. He finished the edges with reflective insulation tape and attached it to the wall with double-sided tape before he installed the panels. ( https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GTRMYTH/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) This insulation reflects heat back into the room and helps prevent heat transfer through the wall behind the panels (in our case, exterior walls). Once installed in this manner, the reflective insulation is not visible, even from a side angle, unless you intentionally look directly behind the panel. One of the heaters still off-gassed that original (but not-as-strong) odor when it was turned on, so for the first few days I just turned it on and shut the (bathroom) door with the window cracked and fan on. Now the odor is much fainter and will hopefully grow even fainter with more use. Because of the odor we hesitate to install the other two panels in bedrooms as planned. For now we will just wait until we see if the off-gassing of the first two eventually ceases entirely. We purchased the LUX WIN100 plug-in thermostats for the two installed units: ( https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B000E7NYY8/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_35 ). These thermostats are easy to use, intuitive to program, and seem to be working well. You plug the thermostat into the outlet, then plug the heater into the thermostat (heater plug only has two prongs). Try to make sure the heater is not too close to the thermostat's sensor. Because the panels are ideally installed low on the wall, and the plug-ins can be alongside or below the heater depending on installation, you may have to adjust the thermostat several times until you find what temperature setting on the thermostat actually works/feels best in your particular installation scenario. I am glad we bought these toward the end of summer and were able to unpack and process them outside because of the odor. We never would have been able to be in the same house with them if they had to be indoors with us during the initial phases. Now that we have two panels successfully installed and running on thermostats, I will give it some time and then update this review once they have been in operation for a while.

We are using this heater in a 12x16 foot space. I wanted this heater because it mounts to the wall and will not be in the way of my son's wheelchair. Easy to mount and heats well. I bought a thermostat so that the heater will go on and off as certain temperatures are reached.

this heater is absolutely terrific. it is easy to affix to the wall, has a slim classy design and fits just about anywhere. i cannot believe the price. i was sure it was a mistake, i had to double check. this could easily sell for $200. i put it in my basement, and since then have had no issue with guests sleeping there in the depth of winter. and whats more, it is very cheap to run. what a shame there are only five stars to check. i would happily give this heater ten stars.
