Just What We Were Looking For

Got this for our ponds to be able to have water running intermittently throughout the day to keep from getting green. The manual ON button was a must to turn on/ keep on while relaxing the the yard. We love the sound of water running.

This is well worth purchasing if you are looking for an easy to use outdoor timer for Christmas lights. It is very easy to program for as many 'on and off' times as you could possibly be needing in any given ongoing 24 hour period. Where I was using it I didn't want it to end up being too tall, and this timer is also ideal as comes with a pointed plastic stake, as well as an optional extender section, so you can use it as is, or with some combination of these two to get the height you need. I'm only using it with the first (3) outlets, but it also features another section of (3), and that group can even pivot or rotate slightly if you need more room for the plug in's. I have looked for a long time to find what I needed, and this exactly what I had been hoping to find.

Good value exterior timer

Bought this to put by our deck to control a number of things we plug in and was tired of walking around to turn things on and off. The dial provides a lot of control to turn things on and off multiple times a day. We have a pump that is on for 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours at night for example. Provides great flexibility and is sturdy (the stake went easily into the ground). Multiple outlets plus ability to override timer control.

Handles 60 miles an hours winds!!!

I bought this timer because the one I bought at Wal-Mart last season its stake part broke when I was putting it into the ground! I live in the Pacific Northwest where there is a ton of rain and soft soil too. My daughter suggested I buy one off Amazon because that is where she purchased a decent one for a good price. Well good thing I did because this beauty comes with a sturdy stake and it is easy to operate. I am using it to power and time my little outdoor Christmas display. It's doing a fine job of it too with 5 items it's powering and I don't have to worry about turning it on and off at night. To save electricity I have it set to turn on at 5 pm and turn off at 1 am. By then most people are snug in their beds and wouldn't see it anyway and it doesn't attract creeps with sticky fingers out early morning. The real test of it was when we had a rough wind storm yesterday. We had gusts up to 60 miles an hour and it held its place and kept working. Some of the decorations got a bit wind blown but not this timer!!! It kept working and stayed upright in the ground despite howling winds! I am very pleased with this item and consider it a good solid buy!

Perfect for our outdoor Christmas lights

Someone at Home Depot actually sold us an outdoor timer that stopped working in the rain. Looked at the instructions and it said plain as day, "For indoor use only." Found this timer on Amazon and it is PERFECT. We use it for all the outdoor lights in the front of the house at Christmas. We have 6 cords that go into it. Amazingly, they thought of making 3 of the sockets swivel in case your cords can't go straight in. 3 sockets are fixed, 3 swivel. Definite plus. It's very easy to set up and the lights go on and off right when they are supposed to. I plan to buy this for my neighbors next Christmas who haven't discovered timers yet and end up leaving their lights on all night.

Lots of outlet options - works great!

We used this for a couple weeks for our outside lights at Christmas time. My sister set the timer without any issue and it's worked really well.

Practical, adaptable and working fine all season

I appreciate pretty much everything about this timer --- the ease and ability to set multiple on-off periods each day, the 6 independently covered outlets that can rotate to face different directions, that the timer face is protected from rain and snow, that the timer face is horizontal and stands about 16" off the ground for easy access from my front step. The only thing I would change is to make the last section of the stake sturdier. But so far, it's so much better than the hanging timer I was using, and it's all been working fine.

Set for any time — Weatherproof

Love that this has a timer we can set rather than using just “dusk to dawn” or only being on for 4,6 or 8 hours. Love that we can have all of our outdoor Christmas lights plugged into one timer! We used to use two different timers so the on/off was always a little off with each light set. So far this timer has held up to being rained and snowed on and it’s still working great!
