So far I love it! There are some pluses and downsides. On the plus side, because I'm prime member it came rather quickly and free shipping! I've been cutting away since I got it last week. The downside is the limitation on free access to Cricut Access for the Design Space. I got the machine on 3/30 and have Access until 4/17. The feature of one year subscription apparently doesn't apply across the board. It depends on which item you select on Amazon that day. So read carefully. If it's not mentioned in exactly what you purchase, it will be brief, if at all. And it looks like it is very limited in the "free" images and fonts. That being said, I love the tutorials you can find all over the internet. I watch them over and over. If you are afraid of icons, (and there are plenty), the tutorials will be a great saver of frustration. I had an Expressions Cricut before. To me there is no comparison; the Explore Air 2 beats the Expression hands down! It is easier to use, there are more sources for help, although there are many icons, they are very organized in what each does. So, the learning curve isn't that bad. I'm back to scrap-booking and there isn't a page I made that hasn't come from my Cricut Explore Air 2. In four days I've made 4 pages and 2 cards. It is so much easier and fun with the Design Space and the images from Access. I was anxious to get this and got a really good deal. Be patient, the $ changes every day! I spent my savings on supplies I've been using with my Cricut Explore Air 2 since I got it. I have more coming in. I agree with others, the extra money isn't worth what you get in a "packet". If you price it out, and are patient, you can get some really good buys of supplies you "intend" to use or try out, instead of what you may or may not use in a packet. I'm so excited, even still, as ideas keep coming to me on what I can try to do next!

I've been wanting this machine for so long but couldn't justify the price. Also I was super intimidated about spending all that money and not being able to figure out how to use it. Well I got it on sale on Prime Day, which was awesome. And it was super easy to use! The internet has so many helpful hints but is is truly so user friendly. Can't stop crafting!

My wife loves this thing and for that reason so did I. Seeing the pure joy in her eyes was rivaled only by things like our wedding day and our children's births. As time has gone by though I'm beginning to suspect that she loves it more than she loves me. She spends all her time with it and when she's not using it she's talking about it. She's taken to snuggling it in bed and when I came home from work the other day it was sitting in my chair at the dinner table. My children call it Daddy. I was getting tired of it and tried to confront it but my dog started snarling at me. It's too late for me but you've been warned: this machine is a homewrecker.

after a month I keep getting Error -44 and it won't cut any pattern without restarting or resetting the system! I am past for 14 day return and now have a machine that doesn't work. I called the company and they determined it had issues. Within 2 hours it was on its way with prepaid label back and new replacement! Great customer service. Can’t go wrong!

So far I have only used it twice, but I am so excited to use it again and to explore everything it does! I had previously bought a Vinyl cutter off eBay 5 years ago and it was just too much of a hassle for the type of projects I wanted to do (mostly small glassware, t shirts etc). It also lacked major support as far as software goes. This machine seems to be right where I want it as far as functionality goes and I really like being able to go on youtube or forums and find answers to my questions and to see project ideas. I just made my first birthday card yesterday, it was pretty easy to learn, I watched one video tutorial and I was good to go! I ended up using Adobe Illustrator to design the card, which is the only reason I was down to use one of these machines (being able to use my own designs). It was a bit different bringing artwork into the Cricut program than it was with my Vinyl Cutter, but quick to get the hang of. Overall a very intuitive program and a great little machine.

I am obsessed with this machine! When I first received it, I was completely overwhelmed. I didn't even take it out of the box for a while. Then I slowly did research on YouTube, Facebook beginner cricut boards, ect. and learned how to make projects. The machine is more than paying for itself just from me making things for friends and family. It's helped to supplement our small income. Don't be overwhelmed when you receive it! There is so much great advice on the "cricut newbies" board on Facebook. They are quick to help and there are lots of files available too. Have fun crafting!

I hesitated buying the Cricut for so long. I read a lot of reviews from disappointed people saying it was hard to use and that the Cricut Design Space (where you create your projects to be cut) was hard to use and expensive. Well, I haven’t felt the need to purchase anything from the design space because it’s so easy to download a free font on to your computer! There are so many free fonts on “Dafont.com” if you’ve never downloaded a font before, just watch a YouTube video and you’ll be a pro in minutes! I’m so happy with my purchase. I shouldn’t have waited so long to buy one

I LOVE THIS MACHINE! I actually bought a Silhouette Cameo first (literally 2 weeks ago), but was growing super frustrated by the fact that the cutting mat kept slipping. Regardless of the different help videos I watched (it's a common problem), I couldn't get the machine to work. Fast forward to me standing inside a Michaels trying to decide if I really wanted to buy another machine (knowing how much I actually needed it for a HUGE project I was working on with a deadline) ... I went ahead and bought it (skeptically), and ever since opening the box, I have been enamored. Here is why: 1. There is actually a user manual to read before plugging the machine in. 2. Once you log in to the web site (conveniently located on the USB cable), you can figure out how to set up the machine by going through the on-screen prompts. 3. They actually INCLUDED materials to do a test run project JUST SO YOU CAN SEE how to use the pen in conjunction with the blade ... IT WAS AMAZING!!! 4. I find the online design studio MUCH easier to use than the Sihouette's. I realize many people don't like that it's internet reliant, but I live in a suburb of a big city and have no issues with internet (knock on wood). I actually finished the cuts that I needed for my big project within 30 minutes (needed 44 names in a fancy-ish font in vinyl) ... that 30 minutes included me figuring out how to use the online design studio AND set up the names for the cuts. Why is it better? First off all, there is much more communication about how to USE the thing immediately after opening the box. Second, there are actual pieces that hold the mat in place so the thing doesn't slide around. Literally was the main reason why I ended up purchasing that day, standing in Michaels wondering if this was going to be another erroneous purchase.
