Fosi TPA3116 BT20A
Review of the: 【UPDATE】2 Channel Stereo Audio Amplifier Receiver Mini Hi-Fi Class D Integrated Amp 2.0CH for Home Speakers 100W x 2 With Bass and Treble Control TPA3116(With power supply) Purchased on 2018 06 22 I tried the amplifier with two purposely built studio speakers and reproducing acoustic recordings manly of serious music, with power outputs lower than 20 W RMS. The overall harmonic distortion was lower than 0,5 % as claimed by Fosi, which enabled a pleasant reproduction of the stringed instruments. The intermodulation distortion (IMD), which confuses the sound of multiple sources, was more noticeable, especially with ensembles of chords or human voice choruses and this was to be expected since the class D amplifier chops the audio signal. Actually the IMD is present in most of the commercial speakers which do not have treated surfaces inside, making it more difficult to distinguish the amount attributable to the amplifier from that produced by the speaker. To appreciate the frequency response it was necessary to set the tone controls with the knobs pointing around 3 o'clock and was mostly flat, falling noticeably only at very low frequencies, under 40 Hz. The reproduction of pipe organ music was quite acceptable, even for the 32 feet registers. The signal to noise ratio of about 70 dB is a value we would like to recommend the manufacturer to work on. The operation of the relay commute, between audio and Bluetooth inputs is silent and effective. The useful Bluetooth range is more than 5 meters. The quality of the Bluetooth 4,2 audio is adequate for a second input. So, the 5 stars over 5 go taking in consideration this is a class D amplifier.

Works beautifully for near field
I'm using this amp to power two Wavecrest HVL-1 speakers (8 ohms, 86dB @ 1 watt/meter) on my computer desk. The amp is plenty powerful for near field use and it looks compact and slick. The noise floor is very low and I can only hear the faint static noise with the volume knob turned all the way up, and my ear against the speaker. With my setup, I consider having the volume knob at 1/3 as "cinematic," and 1/2 as "blasting it." Your mileage will vary depending on your speaker specs and audio source.

Sounds very good!
Wasn't sure if these were going to work with my Infinity Primus tower speakers which are 8 ohms and 93 sensitivity, my room is roughly 20 x 40 with vaulted ceilings. But this little amp did a very nice job filling the space with sound with room to spare. I barely have the volume knob turned 1/4 and it's loud. I like being able to control the treble & bass also. Clean sound from such a small amp.

Compact, inexpensive, and powerful. A surprisingly great little box.

High quality clear sound, incredible value for the money.
This little stereo amp is an incredible value for the money. I purchased the model with bluetooth and tone controls (bass and treble). It is really small, about the size of a paperback book, but good things come in small packages. I hooked it up to some small Bose bookshelf speakers as well as a pair of Cerwin Vega HT-6S (8 ohm, 125 watt). The sound quality on both sets of speakers was remarkably clear and well defined between the left and right channels with a direct AV left and right channel RCA input connection. I usually test out audio equipment with several different albums covering differnt genres of music ( for this I used Beck's Odelay, a high bitrate live Grateful Dead soundboard recordings from their "30 Days of Dead" series (4-20-1969 Dark Star is a killer!) , OutKast's Stankonia, Tom Petty's Full Moon Fever, and Patsy Cline's greatest hits) and all sounded great. Sound quality was slightly less when streamed over Bluetooth, but so little only the most hardcore audiophile would notice. Amp stayed cool to the touch even after hours of use. Only complaints are lack of a left/right balance control and the range of the bluetooth connection was slightly less than listed on Amazon. My bluetooth connection to an Android phone cut out at around 25 feet, but I was streaming through the exterior wall of a house. I am confident that If I replaced the stock antenna with a larger one and repositioned the amp to be higher in the air (I had mine sitting on the floor), it would have better range. Otherwise I'm super happy with this little Amp and look forward to it powering my backyard speakers.

Great sound at a great price!
I rely on customer reviews when buying products, but have been remiss when it comes to reviewing things I've bought...so let me start by reviewing this sweet little amp. I needed a sound system for my computer with the primary applications being streaming music and/or voice. I could buy computer speakers but I already have a really nice pair of Bose 201 bookshelf speakers. The solution was a digital amp that could use either 3.5mm or RCA input since I planned to use the audio 3.5mm (headphone) output from my PC. The Fiso amp is perfect for this! I had been using a Lepy digital amp, but the flimsy connector tabs (for the speaker wires) fell out. By contrast, the Fiso amp has a much sturdier connectors for the speaker wires, and overall the Fiso seems very well put together. The sound is crystal clear and there's more than enough power for my Bose speakers. The Bluetooth feature works seamlessly as well.

Amazing sound, powerful bass clear highs
I love this amplifier. It is driving a pair of 6" 2 way bass reflex speakers that came from a 100 watt phillips all in one am fm cd player. Unbelievable bass and great clear highs. Connected to the headphone jack of a 43 inch Sony tv so I can control the volume with the tv remote. Bluetooth from my iphone works well and sounds great also. I would give it 6 stars if I could. I will see how long it will last but for now I am very happy. Used in my bedroom the speakers are wall mounted in each corner of the room which is 12X24'.

Very impressive tiny amp with big, unexpected output
just received this amp and hooked it up to my 8 ohm Bose bookshelf speakers. i'm an audiophile and very critical of aural quality. this tiny little amp is very impressive. imaging and clarity is much better than the big 1990s Onkyo amp i was using. its a little hot in the 12K to 15K range, but that's easily fixed with some minor eq adjust. volume is impressive. I’m using it as a near-field (about 3 feet away from me ears), and its plenty loud at only 25%. 50% tears my head off. Includes banana plug posts (don’t need the plug. Can insert your bare wire through the post). Runs cool to the touch and is dead quiet when you’re not putting any signal into it. layout is weird – treble, bass, volume. Usually its bass, treble, volume. I was cranking the bass when I thought it was treble which was disorienting. Easily fixed by reading the label! Next I’ll hook up my krk monitors and see how it sounds. no doubt better than Bose. The application is my shower! I’m tired of showering four times week without my tunes. You know. Mamamoo, red velvet, lovelyz, wjsn, gugudan, pristin, elris, 4minute, girls generation, apink, fx, etc. all those great kpop bands. Where all the action is these days in pop music.

Good Sounding Amp. Take Power Claims With A Grain Of Salt. But Buy It.
This little amp sounds good. The TP3116 chip is an audio enthusiast favorite. Take the power claims with a grain of salt. It acts like a good 15-to-twenty watt class A/B for the most part. Using it with some BIC speakers rated 90db sensitivity, in my garage, where I can play them loud enough to preclude normal conversation. Sounds best at low-to-medium SPLs, and it's best is pretty darn good. Sounds better with my Debut B6, but that's for another room. It isn't worth the trouble to me to connect it up to my Klipsch Fortes or Monitor Audio Silver 6s. Been there, done that, with prior chip amps. If you want to power larger speakers like those, even very sensitive models, inexpensive class d doesn't measure up. Not enough oomph, but are great for most decently efficient bookshelf speakers. Many will appreciate having the bass and treble controls. At low levels a bit of boost in the bottom sounds just right.

This little thing rocks
I had mixed expectations when I ordered the bluetooth version of this little amp. I put faith in the fact that Fosi had upgraded the amps with the new Bluetooth and I was not let down. The Bluetooth connected with zero issue. The sound coming out of this greatly exceeded my expectations. I wasn’t sure how loud it would play but more importantly I wasn’t sure about the quality of the power/sound. I hooked it up to an old set of Bose 101 outdoor speakers and it actually brought a smile to my face. The first 2 songs up were Man in the Box by Alice In Chains and Remedy by The Black Crowes. The Fosi was able to pump out the highs and lows with no issue at all. I only had the volume up 1/4 and the loudness made me giggle a little. I bought this little puppy specifically to run my Bose 101 out in my garage/ man cave/ escape from the wife and drink beer area. I am extremely pleased with what I received vs the price I paid.
