i love this 4in1 multiple function cooler and heater, also csn use like purifier and humidifier , quiet sound, can work all year long, excellent for home use

Works well

I was surprised how well it worked. It can easily cool a bedroom. It is also a little small than I expected, but it's not a problem since it works so well.

Wonderful mini evap cooler

I love the size, it’s not ginormous but it’s not a desk sized Evap cooler. It’s quiet until it runs out of water of course, I love the mini ice packs that you put to cool the water down, it works really well to help cool down a room, just keep in mind it does cause humidity because it uses evaporation to cool down a room

Not impressed, expensive air blower

THIS IS NOT AN AIR CONDITIONER. works great as a humidifier. Fan doesnt blow far so dont buy it to use as a fan.

Excellent quality cooler for an average size room. It keeps me nice and cool in my hot New Mexico apartment before the swamp coolers are turned on every spring!

Worth buying

It's a really great product. It's bought for my brother. He's single, the air conditioning is broken in the summer, and the heating in the place he rents isn't warm enough in the winter. Summer is coming soon ，I use it in the garage. It is quite big .When doing things in the garage, it makes it nicer as its now cooler in there. The fan is strong,I can feel it from one side of garage to other.It goes for about 8 hours on low before a little gurgle because it is low on water. Great machine though!

First Review on my amazon

I have been using Amazon for like 4 years. This is my FIRST Review. I feel like I have to write it. I have been tortured by how dry the room can get when you turn the heaters on in winters. The humidity drops to below 30% or even 20% and you can feel you face is burning and scorching. It is definitely a hell. I have tried the ultrasonic humidifier. It is crappy. Never rise the humidity in the room even by a bit. I bought this product. It is AMAZING as a humidifier. My room humidity can rise to 50% easily with my heaters on. Thanks god. If you need a STRONG humidifier, buy it!

Awesome Mini Swamp Cooler

As this Costway Model #EP23430 cooler was not on Amazon Prime, I purchased mine from Walmart as I was told I could return it locally if necessary. It's a good compromise between the larger portable units that vent to a window, and the small cube types that are cheap but ineffective. Weight was important because the larger Costway cooler I got from Amazon was too heavy and I had to return it to the factory at great expense. The specs for the small cooler say it weighs 8#; mine weighs 11.5# empty and 21.4# with 1 gallon of water, and the side handles and casters make it easy to move. The instructions are hard to read due to fractured English and tiny print, and at first I missed that the Cool button controls the water pump. It works like a champ with plain water and with added ice or the frozen gel pack. In my hard-water area I use only distilled water, as calcium deposits gum up everything. The Celdek pad is the best type for swamp coolers, and it's easy to service. To drain the water, directions say the tank is removable, but there's only a plastic drain plug. It's underneath the cooler at the back, and to remove it you must tip the cooler over, so go figure. To drain most of the water I use a small hand pump via the water input door, and for the dregs, a pan that fits underneath the drain hole. The water-level gauge is not clear, but the unit beeps if the level is too low--how cool is that? The remote takes two AAA batteries (not included), and the fan is truly quiet. I have no idea what "Anion" means, and neither the dictionary nor Costway customer service (so far) was any help. All told, this unit is a beautifully designed miniature swamp cooler, just what I wanted for fast-changing weather and an emergency backup for my main swamp cooler. Updated 5/25/18

Swamp/evaporative cooler NOT air conditioner

Works very well especially with the water cooling instead of just the fan, almost too cold with the ice packs. Remember this is for dry not humid locations. Perfect for Colorado Very quiet, easy to use. Haven’t used the timer function so can’t comment to that. Bad thing is directions suck so don’t really know what all the functions or buttons are for. Doesn’t really matter. Pour in water, watch the water level!! push the power button, cool off. Another nice thing , it has a swing function so it doesn’t have to blow in just one spot
