Cocoon Cam has been a great addition to our little one’s nursery!
I have previously used another video monitoring system (Nest) for our baby’s room, but felt like it didn’t capture what we were looking for since it is not designed to be a baby monitor and there are less options for alerts. I like that there are no delays with the alerts and that there are multiple options beyond standard noise alerts, including crying, waking up and falling asleep. The breathing monitoring function gives so much peace of mind, but I also like that it can be turned on/off. The HD quality of the video is amazing, and allows the tiniest details to come through clearly when watching the Live Stream through the app. I also like that you can “zoom in” on the Live Stream, so I can see if my baby’s eyes are open or closed. I couldn’t get near that level of video quality with the other video monitor! Setting up the camera was very easy, I just followed the instructions that were provided. The camera does need to be mounted above the crib, which I don’t mind since it allows for an unobstructed view in the Live Stream. The app is straightforward and user friendly. The Swaddle Stories feature is really fun, since it shows a time lapse of the little one’s sleep throughout the night (who knew so much flopping around was possible at such a young age?!) If you're shopping around for a baby camera, definitely try Cocoon Cam. I wish I would have had it sooner!

Live video feed and cool instant alerts
My son is almost 10 mo old and I'm finally ready to let him sleep in his own room. We got a dropcam for his nursery for playtime and day time naps, but it's not the best baby monitor. I found the feed lags ( a couple time, we hear him crying thru the walls before we hear anything in the mobile app :\ ), and I hate how you have to pay a monthly fee for additional features. Our friend recommended Cocoon Cam and I did some research and it was everything we needed: instant alerts, live feed, and no monthly fee. We've used it for a couple of nights and I love it so far! Pro: * Live feed -- I haven't notice a lag yet * Instant Alerts -- I love how it would give you an alert when the baby is stirring * Super Simple app -- I showed it to grandma (not the most tech savy) and she didn't have any issues using it. * Breath Monitor -- I didn't think I would use this feature as much, since my son is older and I don't have to worry about SIDS. But I using this to see him calm down and finally fall asleep. * Activity Log (in mobile app) -- I can check out how many times he wakes and when Con: * Wish I heard about this earlier! I think I would have let him sleep by himself in his own room earlier if I got Cocoon Cam earlier :)

We and our daughter sleep better thanks to Cocoon Cam
Cocoon Cam has helped us and our daughter sleep better! Before we got our Cocoon Cam, we used another baby monitor which didn't have breathing detection. So, every time we'd look at our daughter lying in her crib with our old monitor, we'd see her and immediately start worrying about whether she's breathing. We'd walk into the nursery to check on her to make sure, at which point our question would be answered loudly and definitively with the very unhappy cry of her waking up... Since we've switched to Cocoon Cam, we can see on the monitor that she's breathing, so we no longer need to walk into her room to make sure she's OK. She sleeps better, and we sleep better - definitely worth the price of admission!

Great product
I bought this after comparing quite a few cameras. First off the bat - the resolution is pretty damn good. Even at night, the night mode is clear enough for me to see very clearly. The wife and myself have a spare ipad plugged in, running the app (the app doesnt auto off the screen, which helps alot, especially when the wife is cooking. she can just put the ipad in front of her while doing her work). installation was a breeze. probably got everything set up in under 15 minutes. made an account, invited the wife over and we were both able to use the product (also, for non-US based buyers such as myself, the 2 pin adaptor is multi voltage - you just need a converter from 2 pin flat usa style to whatever you are using) occasionally on 4G networks, there's a 3-5 second delay every now and then, but for the most part, the product works as advertised. support through facebook was extremely prompt, they replied pretty fast to all my queries (which was why i was convinced in the first place to go with the product) all in all, im really pleased with the purchase. its got a great price point for the features and quality. (the camera itself may not match the room decor and its not the prettiest of designs, but i think thats a minor price to pay for a well rounded camera). would highly recommend.

A great combination beathing + video baby monitor
I'd been reading about so-called 'smart' monitors that offer breathing detection, but my wife didn't like the idea of attaching some kind of electrode to our infant. A friend recommended that we try out the Cocoon Cam monitor since it's both a breathing monitor and video monitor and he said we wouldn't have to attach anything to our newborn. Setup wasn't as painful as I expected and once we synced it with the app, lo and behold, we saw the breathing graph! (I had to calibrate it by showing where the crib was in the camera, but that only took 2 seconds). If I'm being honest, I don't use the video feature that often. I prefer to simply get the alerts if the baby is crying or has worken up and needs attention, rather than constantly watching the live video feed from work. But my wife lovs that feature. I can tell she watching the live feed all the time based on how often she's sending me screenshots during the day! Over all 5 stars. I'd give it an extra star if I could, just for the peace of mind we get.

Helicopter mom approved!
First time mom here, definitely became a "helicopter mom" and for the first 2 weeks it seemed I never put my son down. Cocoon cam was so easy to setup, the most difficult part was remembering my wifi password and getting him to sleep in his bassinet. The picture is crystal clear and automatically adjusts for day or night time. It also helps that the camera is lightweight, has a long cord, and has the ability to adjust the angle for the best picture. Initially I used the monitor so that I could watch him while I did dishes or brushed my teeth- I did not even realize that the monitoring graph wasn't working (I was just happy to be able to check on him). Customer service helped me troubleshoot with tech support until we figured it out and now I feel even more reassured letting him sleep on his own while I go to the next room. I also like that when the monitor is running in the background, I can open other apps and still hear the microphone if he cries. I love that both his father and I can log in to use the app and watch live, which is a feature that wearable monitors do not offer. Now that tech support fixed my issue I hope to start getting notifications and update my review soon.

Great Customet Service from CEO
I had originally posted a 1-star review, and the CEO contacted me directly. I had thought the breathing monitoring technology to be bogus, but he explained it in thorough detail, as well as provided me with analytics and assurance the technology works—even saved info from my unit and my daughter’s activity the night before. I had a scare when my daughter was face down in the middle of the night, and the unit didn’t notify me of any change in breathing. He gave me his personal contact as well, and encouraged me to call for any questions.

Excellent camera...excellent customer support...and best of all, the reassurance is priceless.
Unlike most of the other reviews...I was not sent a monitor to review. After much thought and careful consideration of the different movement monitors, my husband and I decided on the cocoon cam. Our daughter was stillborn last year...so we both have been a little extra paranoid since our newborn son arrived. We did not take the decision as to which movement monitor to buy lightly. We ruled out the snuza...because my husband admitted he would forget to put it on after diaper changes...and he would. We ruled out the owlet due to price, him forgetting to put it on, and it needs charged. And we ruled out the angel care due to multiple complaints of false alarms when kids crawl into the corner of the crib...which our older two kids did frequently. I also wanted a WiFi cam that I could see on my phone, so this was a two birds one stone scenario. So we landed on the cocoon cam and got it ordered. If I had reviewed it on day one...my review would have been completely different. The camera arrived and setting it up was fairly easy. You first unbox it and plug it into your router. After a few seconds it will beep and you can disconnect it from your router and mount it above the crib. Mounting was pretty straight forward. Camera needs to be mounted 3 feet above the crib mattress in the direct center of the crib. I also bought the cord cover to protect my baby from strangulation. It was only $15 for the kit and works perfectly. Once I had everything installed, it was time to put baby to bed. The resolution of the camera is fabulous and I enjoy being able to see sleepy smiles and yawns crystal clear. However, the breathing monitor aspect of the camera would not work and I wasn’t getting any notifications. I tried everything. Finally, exasperated, I emailed customer support determined that if the breathing monitor (the reason for buying this camera) didn’t work, I would definitely return it. Customer support got back to me quickly, was very kind, sent my issue to the engineering department, the next day my monitor was working perfectly, and I had an email explaining that they had to reset some things on the server. My camera now works perfectly. I have the perfect view of my baby and I can see that he is breathing without having to sneak into his room a thousand times a night. My husband also loves that he can check on the baby from work. On top of that, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the cocoon cam support team. Highly recommend this camera!

Easy Installing and amazing technology
We love Cocoon Cam. It was very easy to set up. The instructions are very simple and easy to follow. Once we had it installed and viewed the image through the our iPhone it just gave us a piece of mind that it was one more thing a nervous new parent does not have to worry about. The technology is amazing. We love the fact that it is no touch and it eliminates anything that would disrupts the baby from sleeping. I would highly recommend this product to anyone having a new born.

Great product!
I Love this monitor! I can watch my baby from anywhere, my husband will watch his phone through the app while he’s at work whenever he wants to see her, he can even talk to us while he’s at work through the speakerphone. In the day it shows HD color and at night when it’s pitch black we can still see the baby through night vision. I like the fact that it checks her breathing but I must say it does give false “crying” alerts. That probably could be improved, but would I recommend this to friends and family member? Absolutely. I currently live in Germany and use an adapter for this so it is also dual voltage for any of those wondering about that.
