Easy install but use common sense
I installed a Velop Network about two years ago. Recently I built an RV parking pad for guests and wanted to extend access to them. First, I repositioned one of my primary nodes so that the signal was a straight shot to the new node. I brought the new node online near the primary node and then relocated it in NEMA enclosure near the RV pad and power. Voila! They had signal. Key to making sure this worked was putting the one primary node in a LOS posit so that it could connect to the new node. Our garage, which is a metal building, and the kennel surrounded by chain link fencing blocked the signal. It could not penetrate all that metal. So I hung the new node outside of it all where it could “see” the primary node. It then extended the network without problem. The weather worthiness of the NEM enclosure was tested a few days later when we had a downpour of 5” of rain in a short period of time. It was dry and snug inside the box.

Superb WiFi solution
Straight forward setup process that just works at each step as you proceed. The "Guest" network is ideal for hooking up TVs, DVD Players, and other devices that you should want to have ONLY access to the WiFi network and not to your computer, phones, and other devices so interlopers can't gain access through your network. As for coverage, it is the best I have used/tested for home use. My two node Velop system is solid in the house and for a good way outside in a very, very large yard with many, many trees. The App is well designed and easy to use. Overall a good value with superb performance.

Best tech support ever for a great product that really works as advertised
These WiFi mesh extender nodes from Linksys work great, finally solving my home's resistance to getting WiFi range to distant rooms (and I have tried several times before with extenders or powerline networks that just didn't work). But I was unable to complete the installation because of some lack of understanding about my ISP information (oh, yeah, and maybe also because I was attempting to connect through the wrong Ethernet cable -- Note to self: always check what the other end of the cable is plugged into!). I called Linksys tech help, and it couldn't have been better. The tech-master, Brian, was very pleasant and patient, knew everything about the product and my ISP's router/modem box (as if he were looking over my shoulder), and didn't get off the phone until I had done the wiring correctly, started up and connected all 4 nodes, put in the new password, and tested the WiFi signal and ability to join the new mesh network from each corner of the house. All this took considerable time; the call must have lasted over an hour and a half, but Brian was as pleasant at the end as he had been at the beginning of my call. So far, the equipment performs without problems, giving us full-strength wireless throughout our house, including for our smartphones and laptops in any room, and our two ROKU streaming boxes at opposite ends of the house. Sorry that there isn't a sixth star for this product and tech help.

I also found it’s a good idea to have each note plugged into a battery ...
Worked just as expected. I had a challenge because of a large mirror with a metal back that was weakening the signal so I had to find a different placement for the nodes. I also found it’s a good idea to have each note plugged into a battery back up so that if you lose power they will continue to work as long as your modem has an Internet connection as well

pleasantly surprized
I was expecting this to be way more difficult than it was. I had no issues setting this up with my Shaw internet service (300Mbps). One Velop is ethernet cable (supplied) connected to my Shaw cable modem and the other Velop was down a floor and on the other side of the house. I'm getting 60Mbps on the remote Velop. I was expecting to have to run an ethernet cable to the remote Velop to get decent speeds but I don't need to. Bonus! I love the iOS app and it it gives all sorts of control over the network. Very nice.

Highly recommended!!!
Summary: An excellent mesh system that is worthy of you look into. PROS: Excellent range and WIFI speeds. Consistent WIFI speeds from end to end. CONS: Set up took about 25 minutes and slightly cumbersome. Google WIFI was the easiest, but Linkysys really hit it out of the park overall. The app could use some improvements, but minor complaint. I've tested Google Mesh and Gryphon, primarily because I trust these brands. Google, maybe not as much, but Linksys has been around for awhile. When I bought this - I got a steal for $99 for two Linksys Velop. The 'nodes' are almost small Apple Airport Extreme towers, but a baby version. They are nicely minimalist so you could put into your home without being an eyesore. Initially I was worried that it maybe a shortcoming since the antennas inside may not have great range or coverage, but I was wrong: these two VELOPS gave me better coverage, consistent connections and WIFI speeds than Gryphon and Google Mesh. I was very impressed the node Velop connected directly to the cable modem hit 100+ mbps and it was able to transmit the same speeds to my office which is about 900 ft away and through one wall!!! THE APP The set up took longer than it should and I had to reset and turn off the cable modem twice before the set up worked. You set up the system by bluetooth and WIFI connection to the node connected to the cable modem through an app you download. The Linksys app is available for iOS and Android, but the app looked nice and slightly Google Mesh like, but that's where the similarities end. There are many menus and customization, but no filtering like Google Mesh to protect family from adult-oriented sites. That being said you can always configure it with a DNS filter like DNS, or one of the many free DNS numbers available today. The app setup was a small nuisance and pain, and I've been around tech for over 15 years and this was one the most cumbersome parts of the whole thing; once you set up everything it was relatively a smooth process. From there you can customized your WIFI. Overall, getting it on sale this mesh for $99 is an absolute steal. The range, coverage and speeds are always perfect. I didn't have many drops, latency issues or long ping times. It would be perfect for anyone home around 2500sq ft or less with two Velops or 3 or more for a multi-floors. This is ONE THE BEST MESH WIFI systems I've tested. I hope Linksys improves the app and then it would be PERFECT. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Drastically improved my wi-fi strength throughout the house. I ...
Drastically improved my wi-fi strength throughout the house. I was having trouble picking up a signal at one end of the house with the router/gateway at the other end. The 2 unit system took care of our problem and having no trouble with signal loss at the opposite end of the home.

100% confidence that this one is superior
We first went to Best Buy and talked to a store employee about the different options. We had an interest in another brand; however, the employee explained the advantages of Linksys Velop mesh system. We checked the review and conducted research. Chose to purchase this product and have been extremely happy. There is no problem with wi-fi in our 2400 SF home now. We have two home offices at the opposite ends of our house. My husband was using extenders in his office and constantly complained. No problems now. When I first opened the box, I simply called customer support and walked through the connection process with a very professional, courteous and patient support representative. I've never had a mesh system before and have 100% confidence that this one is superior.

So far, so good
I bought a total of 4 of the ac1300 nodes for $50 apiece and set them up around my house. So far they are working great. Having so many nodes helps drown out the 40+ neighbors' access points I can detect from my home. I really like the single access point for both 2.4 and 5g. I have a variety of devices using the network, including a video doorbell, 3 echos, a nest thermostat, 3 computers, 2 phones, and a lot of IoT devices. The only connection issues I've had thus far turned out to be windows 10 problems that were resolvable after some google searches. I will probably upgrade to some of the triband units in the near future.

Can keep adding Nodes on Nodes on Nodes not just 3.
Worked like rubbish initially. Once the firmware updated works similar to the tri-band in terms of range and connectivity and bandwidth sharing. Bought 4x3 packs thus far for others, totally eliminated any dead spots and improved WiFi speeds for multiple devices in use at the same time.
