Small and loud

I like that my kids are cool with keeping them with them. They aren't like the one my mom got me when I was young. They were huge and embarrassing. My son's friends asked about them so we discussed the importance of personal safety and how this can be a help. They really wanted to hear it so I covered the speaker, because we were in a school, and pulled the chord and quickly replaced it. They were surprised at how loud it was even with the speaker covered. I feel more confident with my kids being out and around when they have them and I have one too.

Amazing little but very loud personal alarm /siren with super powerful flashlight.

I gave five of these for personal protection to five ladies and all of them loved it very much. It's nicely built, very discrete and can be used in a second (while going through a mental shock). Just pull the pin and either toss is away to buy time or just pull the pin and run to create attention. Do put fingers in your ears since this tiny machine is loud. Very smart product, created by a very intelligent person with a build in bright LED light for opening front door at night. Also the cost is good so more people can afford this product. Thank you. Review from an old school guy who likes tools and not a online shopper. FYI: I didn't get one for myself because my hands are enough of protection.

Personal alarm

Well I'll never be quite sure how effective but this was a good buy and I was able to give one to each of my family . If nothing else it will startle someone maybe just enough to give you time to get to safety. My daughter also has a pepper spray but in some instances she is not allowed to have it on her, this she can. So for me its a win.

Works well

These five personal alarms work well. I tested each one. I hold each alarm face down in my hand to muffle to the noise, then pull the cord out, hear the alarm, and reattach the cord (and the noise stops). Easy for me. I like that the alarm turns off only if the cord is reattached to the device. I can pull the cord and throw the alarm away from me, allowing for the sound to continue until the stranger leaves. Having five alarms allows us to have an alarm in different locations in our car, on our person or around our house (such as in the garage).

Inexpensive device that truly offers a priceless degree of protection for those you love

Great price for a simple device that does not require any special training or incur any fear for those afraid of wielding a knife or gun. This is great for teenagers, women, anyone who wants something that can effectively detour an attack. I bought several and equipped the women in my family as well as my business. Well worth it!

good price, easy to operate, loud

I tested these with earplugs in and the noise they put out was ear-spliting. I have not had to use these in an emergency, but I feel better about having a level of protection. If anyone tries to steal my purse, they will also lose their hearing.

Less Likely To Be Used Against You

Alarms are small & have everything included as described. I tested all my alarms, and they all work; the sound is much like that of a smoke alarm. Make sure you muffle the sound when testing if you have a dog. These are great stocking stuffers, and I like having five colors to choose from. I am certainly not an expert in this field, but I believe that these personal alarms are less likely than pepper spray, etc. to be used against you by a would-be attacker. There is a light that comes on only by demand; it does not stay on, but that can be helpful. The seller contacted me right away to make sure everything was okay with my order; I appreciate that effort to provide such excellent customer service.

The 5 pak is a great value. We tested all the alarms and they will blow you away. My wife and others now have one if needed when jogging or going in and out of the house. Sad you need one but you have to do something for yourself, get these.

Awesome stocking stuffer idea!

I purchased a multipack of these personal alarms for myself, my daughters, my sister, and my mother (tween thru 75 yo grandma). All age ranges find them very practical and easy to use. The flashlight is surprisingly bright for such a small item. The alarms are incredibly loud and ear piercing. We've attached them to purses, belt loops, or just carried them while walking alone (or in small groups). They are simple to activate - and simple to silence. Hopefully they will never be needed, but I do have a better sense of security (for myself and my loved ones!) I think these would be awesome stocking stuffers for anyone (male or female!) who has habits of walking alone.

Seems well made and works as advertised

I tested all five of the alarms and also tested the light on each one. All worked. The sound was easy to activate by pulling a pin, and reinserting the pin stops the alarm. It did not seem likely to accidentally go off in pocket or purse. The alarm activating pin was easy to remove but did not seem so easy that it would come out when not expected. Each one comes with an extra fastener that you can add on or leave off. I attached my alarm to a key chain with several keys and have been carrying them in my pants pocket with no problems. I gave one to my wife and will give one to our daughter and possibly also to the nanny who takes care of our young grandchildren for our daughter and son-in-law when they are working.
