Does exactly what I need it to do - mirrors the external view of my windows for complete daytime privacy. My film is not nearly as dark as represented in the photo (which I was happy to discover as I applied it). It will darken your view, but more like wearing mild sunglasses. Applied correctly it is perfectly clear and I forget it is even on the window. Installation can be really frustrating IF you do not follow the directions regarding using A TON OF SOAPY WATER ON BOTH SIDES as you apply. SOAK the window - have soapy water running down the (previously well-cleaned) window, so much water that the film will slide as you apply it. If your film cannot slide as you lay it against the window *you do not have enough soapy water* - pull it back and try it again. Whenever you need to adjust the film, lift up the edge and pour more handfuls of soapy water between the film and window. Soapy water on the outside of the film is required to 'float' your squeegee as you evenly squeegee bubbles out to the sides. USE MORE SOAPY WATER THAN YOU THINK YOU WOULD NEED. Add it frequently as you install, and add more if you run into any problems. Incidentally I did not purchase a squeegee to install the film - I used a credit card and it worked just fine. If you wrinkle the film, you will have a permanent visible line, even if you manage to work the wrinkle out during the squeegee process. To minimize the chance of this happening, have a second person hold the opposite top edge as you peel off the protective film from the product so that you can keep it flat (it will try to stick to itself - don't let it!), and have that person help you align the top edge, *holding it taut*, and then gently allowing the film to contact the window starting from top to bottom. Once you've got your film positioned (laying it on slowly from top edge to bottom seems to be the best way to minimize the bubbles on the initial part of the process), and have slid it on the soapy water to exactly where you want it (again, if it does not slide, you do not have enough soapy water! you *will* get wrinkles that will never come out), you can start working the bubbles out with your choice of squeegee objects. Slide from the center to the edges, be patient, make several passes over stubborn bubbles from each direction (and if they simply won't come out, peel that side up again, check for grit or hairs, re-soak the area with soapy water and try again). As you work the bubbles out, that huge amount of soapy water will squeegee out as well - have a small towel ready to soak it up as it slides to the edge. If you do all of these things, you've got a good chance of applying the film without bubbles, without wrinkles, very well adhered to the window, and with a crystal clear view. The moral of the story? USE LOTS AND LOTS OF SOAPY WATER. MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU NEED. If you don't do that, you will have a negative experience with this film. A final installation note - I have used other window films that had a very slight stretchy quality making it easy to get a perfect fit. This film does not stretch *at all*. So make your initial cut as accurate as possible. A criticism of the product quality control - my roll came with a wrinkle already in place - and once there's a wrinkle, the film is creased and it will be visible no matter how carefully you install the product. This is simply a quality control issue, but it is one that should be noted and marked down.

This solar film worked perfectly on my office window. Prior to installation, I could feel the heat radiating off of the window, and had to close the blinds and draw the curtains so I wasn't cooked and blinded during the morning sun. Now that I've installed this film, I can actually leave the blinds open, so I can see what's going on outside, and even the window sill stays cool to the touch. Its been amazing actually. Installation was straightforward. You need to start with perfectly clean glass, and then spray plenty of water on both the window, and the side of the film you'll be applying to the window. I used a credit card, wrapped in a microfiber cloth as a squeegee to push out all of the bubbles. Worked great! Photos are of the window in direct sunlight.

This tint is great! It installed quickly and easily, it looks wonderful. We used it on a small powder room on the sunny rear of the house. It does a great job blocking heat and UV rays, and we still have a great view out to the beautiful desert. Best of all, it provides privacy from anyone outside looking in. We didn't want to put up a curtain, which would have blocked our view from the inside. This is a much better choice for us. We installed it ourselves, and the results look very professional. I've included pictures from the inside and outside so you can see how it provides privacy without taking away from the view. EDIT- Nearly a year later actually 50 weeks) this tint has been perfect. No peeling loose, no bubbles, no change whatsoever. I was a bit skeptical a year ago (how well can it stick without adhesive?) but it looks exactly the same as the day we applied it. Amazingly satisfied. If it performed that well in the brutal Arizona sun, it will work for you too! We’re about to buy several more rolls and do every door & window in the house. (Because I’m lazy. That’s why I haven’t done it yet. But my excuse is, I wanted to be sure it’s permanent.)

I got the mirrored film to put on my door to help keep the summer heat out. Immediately I could tell a difference. It is easy to install if you follow the directions. You have to peel the plastic off the back so it will stick. It was enough to do the center of my door and the two small windows on the side. I ordered a second one to cover the window over the top of the door. I highly recommend it!!

Perfect solution for the windows facing due west. The rooms are significantly cooler in the afternoon. And I love the privacy factor - the garden workers cannot see into my rooms. Easy to apply! No bubbles, creasing..... I tried another brand and was disappointed - not the quality of this window film.

Product was as expected. Delivered fast. Was very easy to apply. Water bottle, squeegee and knife to cut to size. Spray water, apply film, squeegee bubbles out and you're done! Definitely blocks light and heat. Two pics: one shows bottom panes with film applied. The other shows how the widow looks from the outside (middle window has film applied).

I'm glad I gave this a try, it is great. Has eliminated the need for heavy curtains yet keeps the heat during the day out as well as keeping prying eyes out. Wish I had discovered this long ago. I like that I can put it on the lower half of the windows and keep the upper half uncovered in certain rooms to be able to still see outside. The only drawback is that in the pictures it seems to be in different colors when it is not. Will be back for more though.

I have a 2 story home. The rooms upstairs have an East or West facing window. There is a noticeable temperature difference due to the amount of sunlight that penetrates through the windows. I purchased the tint in hopes that it would help keep the rooms cooler, as well as darker from morning / evening light. I am more than pleased with this product. I have noticed a difference in the temperature of both rooms and the rooms are slightly darker, without even realizing the tint is on the window. I originally purchased enough for 1 room, after 1 week of use I purchased enough for the other room. I strongly recommend this product!

Follow the instruction and tapd it on my sunroom door. Works great! The sunroom does feel cooler. From outside, you can't see inside. It also gives you privacy.

I initally left a scathing review of this product because it wouldn't stay down. It was so stiff and curled that it kept popping off. Well, I got the biggest laugh when I was reading other reviews because I didn't realize there was a CLEAR backing that had to be peeled off before applying to the window! This stuff is really, really great and I'm ordering more!
