Wedding perfect

Bought it for my husband to wear with his kilt in our wedding. Looked great and decent quality. We are very happy with it. Held up to all the pictures, dancing, and overall strain of setting up wedding gear.

great for large man.

It arrived quickly. Fit my husband to a tee. My husband is 6ft 5in and has a very long torso, but the shirt tucked into the kilt perfectly. This shirt is thicker then a normal dress shirt. The cuffs also have double buttons and one hole so sizing is accommodated. my only issue is the leather string for the neck sheds a bit. I am sure that with more use of the shirt that will be fixed. I would highly recommend this for plus size man.

Nice shirt. A few things to know before ordering....

I am 5' 11" and 155 lbs. I usually fall somewhere between a medium and a large, so I ordered this shirt in large. The fit through the chest is extremely generous, and the length of the torso is also quite long. Plan on wearing this tucked in, unless you want it to look like a night shirt. The sleeve length, however, was just barely long enough. Sleeves were certainly nowhere near as generous as the chest and torso, so plan to order on the larger side of your size if you have long arms. I would have considered sending mine back and getting a medium, but I fear the sleeves would be too short then. Also, note that the cream color is indeed a medium-dark shade of cream. It is not an off-white. I find my computer monitor makes this color look lighter than it is in real life. It comes with a leather lace for tying up the front. When new, this lace will be stiff and hard to manage. I soaked mine in a bowl of hot water for a bit, and then started twisting it to get it to loosen up. I noticed that the lace has a shiny side to it, which is actually a coating of plastic. I peeled that plastic off quite easily, and now the lace is very soft and acts like it should. The leather did have a tiny bit of dye transfer when wet, so I waited for it to fully dry before putting on the shirt.

Very nice quality!

Very nice quality! Soft material. Looks very handsome on my husband! So far we have washed it twice and air dried it just to make sure it didn't shrink. My husband is 6 ft 4 and has a hard time getting arms on shirts to be long enough, especially after first washing but this fits perfect. We also bought a black one of these and we like it but the material is different...not as soft but we still like it and it also is of good quality.

Great shirt!! I bought a size smaller than I normally wear because the shirt runs large. It fits me to a T and it looks great on me.

Great Fit, Quality Material!

Fit great and the quality of the material was superior for the $$. Honestly, I expected a much thinner material and was really surprised about how great this shirt felt and fit.

The shirt is well made and great quality. The material has a good thickness to it and is durable. This is the real deal, not just some flimsy and cheaply made costume shirt. It's doesn't have a lot of stretch to it (wasn't expecting it to) but just something to consider when you're choosing a size. Looks great and I'm very pleased with it. It shipped quickly and the price is very reasonable for the quality. It has exceeded my expectations all around.

Like it!

I read the reviews so I knew what to expect. I wish it had an inch or 2 more length so I could tuck it in and pull enough out to be more comfortable. But with that said shoulders were great, sleeves good also. I am writing this before I have washed it tho. I think I will use cold water and hang dry. I am 6'1" and 230 on my good days so I fall in that grey area between xl and xxl. any smaller than me and you'll be happy. Any bigger you will want to bump up even if it's just for the torso length. My friends say it doesn't look to small for me. I did use my own brown lace tho, I didn't like the black.

Perfect for what I wanted

I ordered this wanting something other than a tee shirt, or a dress shirt for my kilt. This is the perfect shirt for that. Not dressed down to grunge, and not up to a wedding. When it came the leather laces were missing, quick note and it was in the mail on the way.

Excellent shirt, but beware of villainous cord.

I'm a certified-gold twig (180cm/5'11") (70kg/155lbs) so I was uncertain as to how the small size would fit. However, upon arrival, I was pleased to discover that it fits basically perfectly. Material is good quality, and I'm sure it will wear well wash after wash, though only time will tell. Only one complaint - the leather cord for tying the collar is villainous and quite tightly coiled (like a snake) when you first remove it from the packaging. I recommend playing around with it until it loosens up. Otherwise, tying it will only end in frustration.
