Fantastic mitts

These mitts are thick, comfortable, and easy to manage pans with. I cook with a lot of cast iron, and at temps up to 500 degrees, I was having trouble burning my hands through my old mitts and potholders. No problem with these mitts! The grippy texture is great, I feel secure handling heavy pans. Highly recommend!

Great combination of materials

I like the way that these are cloth mitts with a grippy silicone addition, as something about putting on fully-silicone gloves feels creepy and strange to me. These mitts are very comfortable, effective, and not horribly goofy looking. I've used them to take very hot things out of the oven, and always felt in control. I'm a 5'7" guy with normal-sized hands, and these fit as good as any oven mitt I've ever worn. When not in use, they hang inside a cabinet via their stitched in loops. I got the grey edition so that they don't compete or half to match with any of the other colorful things in my kitchen like enamel cookware or my retro stand mixer. However, based on the quality of the materials and construction, I would feel pretty confident that the other colors look lovely.

Fabric makes them durable, silicon makes them effective

Have used all silicon oven mitts in the past and they always end up cracking at the thumb joint, which has resulted in me burning the crap out of the webbing between my thumb and forefinger. THESE, however, are fabric with lines of silicon. I've had these for most of a year and they're holding up very nicely. I can grab and hold a screaming hot pan straight out of the oven and serve food off of it for most of a minute before I start feeling heat through the fabric.

Flexible heatproof hand-clouds LOVE THEM

Length is perfect (covers lower half of forearm high enough to prevent oven rack burns but not so high on the arm you feel like you're wearing a cast). The soft terry interior is absolutely the most comfortable and flexible I've ever encountered in a mitt. The mitts are flexible enough to not to strain your hands or fingers (no cramping!) and they convey a secure sense of where the edge of a pan is in your hands. The exterior silicone grippy strips are visually subtle yet super-effective. I was able to hold a sheet pan fresh from the broiler for 3 minutes (yup, I timed it) without my hand getting uncomfortably hot. Enough color options to suit most kitchens. And here's a subtle detail I really appreciate: the hanging loop is sewn to the middle of the glove, not along the side seam. That allows the mitts to hang vertically. Best oven mitts I've ever used. Sure hope they stand up to the test of time!

We're so happy not to burn our hands!

We found out about these oven mitts from recommendations from several cooking/chef websites. So far, they live up to the ratings and are comfortable to use in the kitchen and withstand 400 degree stuff coming out of the oven. We have not soiled them because the "grippy ridges" have not cause us to have a kitchen kerfuffle. We hope they withstand a jaunt through our washing machine when the time comes. These oven mitts are a good value and we cook a lot - especially in the cold weather!

Nice gripping mitts

After several months of using these, I love them. They aren't as long as I'd like and hit my arm about halfway between my wrist and elbow. The silicone grip strips are wonderful. They really help grab onto the pot or pan. I really like these mitts. I cook everyday for the family and would recommend these. They are wide enough for a mans hand as well. Very nice.

GREAT OVEN MITS!!

These are great. I do a lot of cooking and the last thing i need is to burn myself. I noticed that a lot of pot holders do not completely protect you and bam you're burned. These give great coverage and are nice looking!!

Wonderful oven mitts!

I had no idea I could like a pair of oven mitts so much! I read a lot of reviews looking for oven mitts for my adult daughter. After reading about these, I decided to order a pair for myself. There is something so comfortable and perfect about them. They are very flexible. They hold items well. They are a little longer on my arm giving coverage to areas that I had recently been concerned would get hot spatters when I used my older mitts (which I thought gave good coverage when I had bought them). I couldn't ask for more in an oven mitt. My daughter now teases me about how strongly I feel about these mitts. In the past 3 weeks, I have bought 3 pairs: one for myself, one for my daughter, and then a second pair for myself.

Silicon stripes grab on slippery glass bakeware!

Love these oven mitts. I have a pair of red ones, and I bought my mom the black ones for Mother's Day. They are soft and flexible but thick, comfortable to maneuver in, and the silicon strips really grab on to slippery glass baking dishes and pans. I can throw them in the washing machine and dryer, too. They arrived earlier than expected -- and my mom loves them, too. We just wish they came in more colors!

Absolutely the BEST

Finally found the perfect mitts to handle really hot trays coming out of oven. They fit both men’s and women’s hand nicely and have super thick protection. Can’t say enough about quality. We have tried many different mitts and this beat them all!
