Quality, Secure

These were wide enough for my vinyl windows and were easy to install -- I love that the lock is removable. My neighbor's 2-year-old recently fell out of the 2nd story window & is in ICU -- these are so important!!

Love them!

I recently moved to a new apartment (ground floor) and some of the window locks are broken so you can just open the window from the outside. So I put these things on all my windows and they are amazing. They work really well. It is a little hard to get them secure on some of the smaller metal frames but they still work well. I feel better knowing they are on the windows. I also used them for our sliding door for a while, I just doubled them up. Very pleased with this purchase.

Great safety tool!

My youngest daughter is an escape artist, and after moving into a home with a sliding patio door we knew we needed something that would be impossible for her to unlock by herself. I’m so glad we purchased these! It’s been months since I originally bought them and they work perfectly for keeping her in, but still easy enough for me to open when we need out of the door.

Not good for imprisonment

These seem to be well suited for keeping small humans, pets, or people with dementia safe. They attach to the rail of a window fairly easily and the key is a good size to hold and keep from losing. It’s a little tricky to get the shiny protector strip aligned just right under the screw if you are particular like me and you want the visible edges to be lined up. Overall, it does a great job stopping the window from opening. However, I have an 8 year old who likes to climb onto the roof and throw things out of the window to his friends outside. I suspect it won’t take long before he realizes all he has to do is slam the window up into the lock with a lot of force a few times and it will pop off. Since the window locks are not advertised to imprison others, I still give them 5 stars.

They work great!

They work great! I used them on double hung windows even though they were designed for sliding windows. I used them on windows that are partially open for portable AC units and a window unit. I just ordered more.
