Compact and precise.
I’ve got this little fingerprint reader plugged into my Corsair rgb mouse pad (Rear USB port on the pad). Nearly out of sight yet perfectly placed to conveniently log on my system securely.

Very convenient.
I was able to install and configure this fingerprint reader within a few minutes. Now, when my screen saver kicks in, i touch the keyboard to bring up the login screen and then touch the reader with an index finger and I am logged in.

Works perfectly for Windows 7
I bought two of these for Windows 7 machines. The are 99% accurate (I can only think of a handful of times it did not register on the first try). Logs me into Windows without a password. I have mine on my keyboard's USB port so it is right where I need it.

Good fingerprint scanner for use with Windows 10 Hello login
Plug this into a USB port on you Windows 10 computer and set up Windows Hello. Then you can log on without using your password simply by placing your finger on the scanner. For me the scanner has worked very well and always identifies my fingerprint.

WORKS GREAT!! I install and the software automattically download for you
I was very impressive, I may get 2 more later.... It works charm on Windows 10 without any issues. For Windows 7 and 8, Try download from there PQI website, they have drivers for this.. For Windows 10, no need, it will do automatically over internet!!

Fast operation.
The metal was bent a little on receipt, making it difficult to put into the USB port. Like it got squeezed, or something. But one I straightened it back out I was able to get in inserted. Works well, and is fast. I just leave it in the USB port at all times.

A nice additional layer of security.
Because the majority of laptops do not have a fingerprint reader built-in, this device fills that void. I'll be honest, I don't really use a Windows laptop anymore, but if I would still use it, I'd be even more ecstatic about an add on fingerprint reader, since it would provide an additional layer of support to the existing methods of security available to me.

This one works. Others did not.
I have tried several fingerprint readers and they all are junk. This reader has software and a google chrome extension that works. It is easy to set up and tells you when it has fully analyzed your fingerprints. I am a happy camper

Works as described. Ultra fast unlock. Great product
I've only been using this for a couple days, and I've only tried the device on Windows 10. I've used it through the built in windows 10 finger print support (on one machine) and the PQIFinger tool downloaded by Win 10 during driver installation when the USB device is first inserted (on a different machine). The downloaded app is not required when using the native the Win 10 native support. Recognition is almost instantaneous from a locked machine. Very surprised. how fast it is. So far, recognition is good, but I have a couple of retries; but they are in the minority. If there is salt on my finger or the finger tip is damp (condensation after picking up a glass), the recognition may/will fail. Wiping the finger on a shirt or cloth and retrying usually fixes the issue. I've tried the device in both orientations; finger width parallel with the device width and 90 degrees off of that. Now, this means training/recording of the fingerprints was done in the same orientation; one machine has a front USB port and it's just more convenient and easier to run my finger sideways since cables block ports below it. Surprisingly, both work well but initial testing shows sideways seems more accurate; odd. I've also used other Hello methods like the Mouse IR camera, and this is less than half the price, has fewer limitations (camera will activate for around 5-10 seconds and then revert to a pin code, this device stays active and waiting and pin or password is only required if you miss multiple detection attempts), and is even faster. Highly recommended! I do not yet know about durability of the device. Also, for the Native Windows 10 support, TPMS 2.0 module is required. The PQIFingerprint app does not require that, but it's being stored and encrypted (hopefully) in some other way so it's less secure. Just keep in mind that not all computers have a TPMS module. Business class laptops and desktops should. If you bought your own motherboard and assembled your own system, chances are is does not have one and you need to purchase it separately.

Security stress relief
Seems to work well on PC and laptop. Like the fact that It reads several images of each digit. Help not to have to be in an exact position to read the fingerprint properly. 5 stars. Security is a big issue. And for now this gets my vote.
