Loud and good quality

Sound is good and plenty loud for a party. Can hear a block away. Big speaker but not too heavy to lift. Rolls nicely on wheels. I measured top volume to be 73 decibels but I didn't add bass boost to that. Bluetooth connects easily and from some distance. I also tried similar EcoXGear speaker. That one is heavy to lift into car, but more rugged. It got to 83 decibels. Didn't have a microphone but could take one. Ion includes a mic. About equal sound quality between the two speakers. I recommend either, depending on your needs.

This thing will go anywhere.

This block rocker plus kicks ass. We got to use this for the first time at my daughters wedding rehearsal dinner. It was the hit of the party. We didn’t only use the microphone that came with it, we blasted the music all night long. I recommend this for all occasions. Can’t wait to do some karaoke night.

Very Loud and Clear Speaker

Easy to pair with Bluetooth, extremely loud for indoors if turned up (no buttons to boost sound or base, but not needed). Just got it for Christmas for myself so I have not used outdoors, i.e., in the park or tailgaiting, but I have no doubt it will be plenty loud enough. Intructions for operation are very clear. It will charge your phone with a USB port, but it only has one input, so can only charge one device at a time. I love that it has wheels and the handle extends for easy transportation. I highly recommend this product. It played all night on one charge, and is supposed to last 50 hours, though people say that is not at full power, so probably less when volume is all the way turned up. I had never seen or heard of this product until I walked by someone at work and they were playing it and I inquired about it. I had never heard speakers with sound so loud and clear and they weren't plugged in! He told me he was streaming music via Bluetooth through his phone. I took a chance and purchased one and I am so happy I did. I went with the higher voltage because If I'm going to do it, I'd like 100 watts and not 50 the the cheaper versions. Get this speaker, you won't regret it! If something happens, like mechanical or electrical failure or some such thing, I will update my review. But as of now, since I've only had it less than a month, it is hard to say what the future holds. However, my co-worker has had his for several years without a problem.

So far so good. I received it before my husband's annual Halloween birthday party. I told our friend who is DJ not to lug all his equipment because I have a speaker. He fell in love with it! It was charged right out the box, but I charged it to full capacity. Even if the built in battery dies, .you can plug it in. I had no problems connecting Bluetooth with my phone. It is extremely loud especially if you turn the volume up on your phone. The mic is nice, used it a few times. No static. It's not heavy but it has wheels for easy transportation and handles on both sides to pick it up. It also has aux to charge your phone. What's not to love about this speaker. I just hope it last.

Great for music at work

I purchased this to use at work. I have many speakers, so I did not need this one. I clean at a school and wanted to have one just to leave at work that is loud. I have others that are very loud, but don't want to leave them behind. I charge this every three days, and use this about six hours each night. I use an iPod connected to this and play my Amazon music. I have this on the loud side, so most of us can hear the music. We use radios for communication, and sometimes I miss a call, oops the music is loud. I play sixties and seventies rock music and it sound great. If we ever drop it down the stairs and break it I will purchase again. I think of this as ours at work, not just mine. I share what I have and some want to buy one. I like how it has wheels and a telescoping handle, great for moving it around. I usually have this on my cleaning cart ( an old metal thing I turned into a cleaning cart).

This Block Rocker Rocks!

This is my second Ion Block Rocker. My first one lasted about 10 years. We had years of enjoyment with it and decided it was time for an upgrade. I have to add that I had to reach out to ION customer service regarding my first Block Rocker, they we’re fantastic and helped me to become a repeat customer. Just got this Block Rocker Plus today. Blue Tooth connected easily to my IPhone. It came almost fully charged out of the box. I’ve tried it for a few hours in the House and it Rocks! We’ll use this outside around our fire pit, in the garage and for parties. The sound is clear and crisp. I didn’t crank it up past 1/4 volume, but at 100 watts, I know it will blast! The radio works well without an antenna indoors. I expect it to work even better when I set it up outdoors. ION has exceeded my expectations once again.

Very Good!

I've had this product for two months now and it is worth every penny I spent on it. The sound quality is good. Battery life is great. I use it for workouts, dancing, birthday party, etc. It works well and everyone who sees it seems to love it. Lots of compliments and admiration of this product. It is good quality for the price. I rarely turn the volume up all the way because it can get loud and still maintain a crisp and clean sound. No distortions! You won't regret it!

Its just as powerful as I hoped it would be.

It rivals my home system which has sub-woofer with a 8inch driver. (Clearly not the best system) But the Block rocker is mobile yet just as good! Radio comes in clear, and no antenna to break. Bass boost is PERFECT for lower volume/small room situations where you do not want it frustratingly laud, yet you want to feel that rumble. Otherwise you can turn off bass boost and let her rip! The speakers body feels as I would expect with nothing for me to complain about, handles are in great spots. Before I got this speaker I had bought 2, 30W, 70$ speakers (4 pounds each so they are more mobile) and linked them together. They where good, but man for almost the same price (Although many more pounds, and size, for me that is good, VERY good. Size matters with drivers) The block-rocker blows away anything I heard from those 2 and it does that at 30% volume, no bass boost. Add the rest of the volume and bass boost, Mic system that does not suck. (Not going to be a singer so it does what I would want lol) Radio for kicks, its the real deal guys. Other notes: The bass boost heavily effects the mic, have fun with that! It will NOT overcharge so don't sweat it. There is a fuse in the back under the plug, added protection is good and its replaceable so even better. Last and MOST IMPORTANT This has a replaceable battery, for those (like me) who intend on a Bluetooth speaker lasting more then a year, replaceable battery is a must, as that's the killer of many speakers.

Simple, loud clear sound!

This is the newer model of the block rocker and it sounds great with simple features. Bluetooth connects easily and the mic is plug and play and has an on and off switch on it for easy operation. Sound quality is great even at high levels without distorting and it is very loud! Never had the volume knob above half way and its plenty of sound for me. Great bang for your buck.

Works well, pumps out volumn

This is the third Ion product I've owned. First a Block Rocker, then a Job Rocker and now this Block Rocker plus. This is the best one. It is lighter than the others, the handle extends higher so it is easier to pull, battery life is hours, it is loud, and music is nicely balanced without an overdriving bass that makes voices hard to understand. It is a great everyday PA for most backyard parties and venues to around 100 people. You can guestimate the size of a room for 100 or so people. We use it for shows in residential facilities.
