Check the dimensions. Make sure it's good for the laptop your're using. I bought it thinking it would hold a 15 inch laptop with room for the mouse to be used on the mouse pad...it doesn't - the whole thing, mouse pad included, is covered by the laptop. Just double check your dimensions on your laptop and this desk first and you can avoid that concern.

Bought this so I could have a comfortable way to have my laptop on my lap while taking some online courses. So glad I made the purchase. Generous space for the laptop with a guard to keep it from sliding off. Ample space for a mouse, I have a 15 inch Dell. Slot for pens or notepad. I use it for my external drive or phone. No peeling has happened on the mousepad. Nice faux woodgrain top and cloth bottom. Has a handle for easy carry.

Because this is angled there is a lip under where your laptop would be to keep it from sliding down too far. There is not one where your mouse would be but the item is as described so I am not docking any stars. I simply got some narrow foam tape (neoprene) for a couple bucks and made my own lip to stop the mouse from sliding off. Doubles as a small wrist cushion too.

I got this lap desk because my boyfriend said I needed one for my computer, I didn't want one, a board would have worked for me. But I got this one because it had a good price and had the mouse pad... and to appease the boyfriend... He was right I needed this. I didn't know it, but I needed this badly and it has simplified my life so much. It is comfortable, not too padded, not cheap to look at, but well priced. I'm excited to see how it works out. But so far I would rebuy it if I had to.

PROS I've tried a few of these laptop desks over the past 12 years and this is BY FAR the most lightweight and comfortable. The handy carrying strap is easy to lug around (although it doesn't really weigh a thing!) The bottom is a full-side-to-side pillow sporting a soft fabric - based on the product photos you'd think it was a rough polyester which would be a little abrasive on the skin but the product photos are deceiving, the fabric is actually very soft and extremely comfortable. It comes with a built in mouse pad, which came in very handy. I prefer to use a trackball mouse but a regular mouse would work just fine, although the bottom pillow has a slight slant to it, the table is perfectly flat and your mouse will not roll off. I really enjoy the holding strip for a mobile phone or similar tablet device which I use regularly to hold just about anything that will fit - it'll even hold open a book (folded in half, limited thickness) if you need to copy or read from. CON Wholeheartedly, this is a great product. The only con, in my opinion: I would have liked a little zipper with a pocket on the pillow side to hold the charging cable so I don't have to carry so many items at the same time when moving to a new location. I highly recommend this product. :)

As this is the first lap desk I have purchased , I have no other frame of reference. This device suits my needs perfectly, it provides ample room for my small laptop as well as plenty of surface space for a wireless mouse. To my surprise I have enjoyed the slot available for my cell phone and find that it mounts in the slot quite well. I can think of no complaints regarding this unit. highly recommend

Although I normally use my new MBP both at work and in the home office connected to multiple monitors, there are times when I do want to take it alone to a sofa in the family room or the living room and wanted to get a good lap stand that would be stable, comfortable and also large enough to accommodate a numeric keypad on the right side of the MBP since I do a lot of spreadsheet work. The keypad fits perfectly in the mouse pad area and the angle of the stand is also perfect for viewing the display while providing excellent comfort with the pad underneath not too soft or too stiff. The tray receptacle is a nice touch as well for a phone. It's a very well thought-out lap stand and I can't really think of anything else I'd want on it. It may be a little large for some who don't need to use a mouse or a keypad but for those who do, this is really great. I looked at dozens of such stands on Amazon and I feel I made the best choice for what I needed it for. It's a good value as well and I really can't thin of anything I don't like about it. I need notice some little dents and blemishes on the wood surface but this is one of those items that will quickly develop those anyway. Excellent stand and highly recommended.

I bought the Lap Desk for myself to use with my smaller laptop while sitting in the livingroom insteas of always being in the computer room. I love the Lap Desk. My sister recently purchased a laptop for herself. She has a birthday coming up and thought she might enjoy it since I enjoy mine so much.

Best Lap Desk I have ever owned! Lightweight for carrying and comfortable on the lap while working. Built in Mouse pad is great- right side only. iPad / iPhone slot is ok, but I am nervous to use it for fear of them falling My 13" MacBook Pro fits nicely with ~4 inches to spare (total) before impacting the mouse pad area I liked it so well I bought one for on-site work desk-- used in conjunction with AboveTEK Folding laptop Table Stand (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07771KKPN/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_4) gives me an inexpensive "standing work desk" option.

This is actually pretty cool. It works exactly as it should, it’s super lightweight, so it’s not inconvenient on your lap. I love the mouse pad area, works great, and the angle is perfect for everything (including video conferencing). I recommend this to anyone as a Remote Desktop.
