My Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 had worked very well for us through the years. However, a few months ago the tablet stopped working. I like working on computers, gadgets and such and I figured that this couldn't be that difficult. Well, no matter what we tried, recharging over night, holding down power, swapping cables, doing all kinds of combinations found on the web, the tablet would not come back to life. After a little digging and finding this gem for a good price and decent reviews, we received the quality product and installed it with little to no fuss with the included tools (major plus). Lo and behold, our tablet is now living again. Though the power cable could be a millimeter or two shorter, the battery fit snugly into the housing. If you need a battery, I highly recommend ordering this one.

New battery went in without issue. The tools that come with the kit are pretty crappy (likely good for only one use), but they got the job done. The tablet (Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 version) is running much longer with the new battery (probably doubled the life).

I had seen reviews for other Tanaka products that indicated they are made well and come with a warranty, so I opted for this more expensive battery in the hopes it would hold up. When I got it, it felt like a high quality battery on par with the OEM battery. Packaging: I forgot to grab a picture, but the battery came in a very durable, custom box. It was well protected and there was no chance of bending or damage during normal shipping. Fit: For the SM-P600 it fit very well. All of the tabs matched up exactly like the OEM. I had to be careful with the white tape around the edges to ensure it didn't get snagged when dropping in. However the battery was the perfect dimensions. No forcing or squeezing to make it work. The power connector wires were just slightly too long and had to be bent left and then right to create a curve to get them to lay flat and the connector to lock in place. You can see the mild curve in the picture. Battery life: I installed the battery two months ago. So far the battery life has been great with no changes to performance from when I installed it. It charges and runs just as the OEM battery did when it was new. I waited two months before reviewing with the assumption if there was going to be an issue it would have shown up by now. However if something does come up in the future, I will update this review to reflect the change.

Received the battery yesterday and my husband helped to install it. Needed to check a video to make sure we were doing it right. Took about 20 minutes with the most time taken up getting the cover opened. So far, the battery keeps a charge much longer than the old one and seems to take less time to charge. Very happy with this product.

Just works to refurbish your 2014 Tablet

This thing was a literal drop-in replacement of my ailing OEM battery. Could not have been simpler. Since my old battery had suffered from a fatal case of swellilng, my case was already separated enough to finish pretty quickly with a plastic card-- I had done this prior to ordering this kit, as I did not want the screen to break from the pressure. With the back off, the swelling just went out into space, as it were. Removal of the old battery was easy enough, but the connector was a wee bit fiddly-- I would have liked a better explanation as to which direction to pull-- I so didn't want to break anything. But I wiggled it enough that it eventually let go-- note-- it pulls straight away from the board, i.e. straight up, if the tablet is laying face down. I did tease the connector loose with a very tiny flat screwdriver. The new one was a perfect match, except that the wires were larger gauge, and I was compelled to use a small tweezers to zig-zag them into the tight confines of the available space. Twisting with the tweezers, one wire at a time, let me pack them in tightly-- I was very careful to not nick or damage the insulation. I do appreciate the larger wires, though. 4 tiny screws later? And I was ready to snap the back cover into place-- which took all of a minute. I went around the edges twice, to make sure all was fitting tightly. Notebook: The back cover seems to have some function, with regards to WiFi-- without it, WiFi range was terrible. Once the cover was replaced? WiFi returned to it's usual strengths. I found that interesting, and a little amusing. The inside of the back cover, was coated in thick metal plating, which was obviously used as a wave guide. (the cover is otherwise entirely plastic, in spite of some of it's coloration) Back to days long between recharges.

After a tutorial, easy enough.

I had to look up a youtube tutorial on how to install the battery since there were no instructions that came with the package, but it was easy enough to find. Following the tutorial, I easily swapped out my old battery and put in the new one. It's been working fine and I've had no issues. Great product.

Purchased and installed yesterday.

Installed this battery 2/19/2019 and it worked well compared to the issues I had with old battery. I have the Samsung 10.1 2014 model and the battery just stopped charging after intermittent issues with charging. A friend said to replace the battery and the charging port together because its possible a bad charging port could damage your battery. It took all of 30mins follow instructions from a Youtube video to do both. One thing I noticed so far is this battery doesn't get as hot or doesn't drain as fast as the one I took out..

My tablet works like new again.

Installation was a struggle. The back cover did not come off easily. I broke both of the plastic pry bars but they gave me enough of an opening to get a regular screwdriver in there. I used my fingernails to open the ribbon cable latches. The good news is the battery works great. All day, no problem.

Great battery at a great price.

Ive tried two batteries from another seller on Amazon, but failed causing weird things to happen such as me not being able to power on my device, not controlling my brightness, or the screen barely being lit. Of course they tried to say it was my tablet, so I returned them both and found this for a cheaper price as well. Ive had it in since about Aug. 17th and couldnt be happier, it works like a battery should. I dont have any complaints and would purchase again should the need arise.
