It has taken me over a year to find a waffle maker that wasn't cheaply put together. Originally I did not want a Belgin. I finally gave in and saw that the DASH was the best rated by people. I went with it. WOW...I am so happy I did. When I opened the package, I was immediately disappointed by the lack of heat control. BUT....it proved me wrong! I followed the directions explicitly when it came to prepping the heating surface. Since I am vegan, I used no oil or eggs in my waffle recipe. I made my batter, just as I do for pancakes. I poured the batter on the heated iron....closed the lid...set my timer for 4 min......PERFECT WAFFLES. ...EVERY TIME!!! Easy -peezy! Love this waffle maker. Next is shredded zucchini and then shredded potatoes for waffle vegs.

Don't burn yourself

The waffles in this thing came out about perfect every time. You do have to watch closely for when the light goes out and I used a cooking spray for each waffle to prevent sticking. Worked like a charm! HOWEVER - the metal plates are exposed around the edges and the maker is lightweight enough that when you try to unclip it to retrieve a cooked waffle it will try to slide on the countertop. You'll want to grab the side to hold it steady. Just...don't. Not pretty.

cute little unit

i was worried about ordering this because of the lack of reviews. Although very easy to use & really cute. When i unboxed it had a bunch of dust & dirt on the actual unit. It must have been sitting in a warehouse for quite some time however it worked well & heated up quickly. i will use & follow up in a few months.

Fast & Easy :)

I bought this waffle maker pretty much because it was cheap and I was having a craving for some waffles on the weekend. Honestly, because the price is so low, I didn't really anticipate it working very well? I followed the instructions by cleaning it first and plugging it in to heat. I didn't really have the "smoking" problem like the other users. Worked really well and the waffles hit the spot :) My only ONE complaint is that it doesn't really have any indication when the waffle is done or a timer, but I can overlook that for the price.

Great Express Waffle Maker.

I love the aqua color of the Dash Express Waffle Maker. The size is perfect, in the photos I put it next to the dash sandwich maker for comparison. It is easy to store, but cute enough to leave on the counter, because it is getting a ton of use between me, my husband, and oldest child. It is super easy to clean you only have to wipe it with a damp cloth when it cools down. It heats up the cooking plate quickly and the waffles cook in about 2-3 minutes or less depending on how much batter you put in and how browned or crisped you want the outside of the waffle. I really like that you can make nice Belgian waffles crisp on the outside but still light and fluffy on the inside. It shipped very fast and I had no problems with the seller the price was great. As far as cons go I really don't have anything I can complain about or something I would change about the way the product works. *I do a lot of reviews and I am always honest and fair with the information I provide.
