Not my first attempt to find kayak saddles that would fit onto the Honda CRV crossbars, but the only one that DID fit. The saddles have a rubberized part that sits between the saddle and the top of the bar. This does not want to slip along the bar, keeping the kayak right where you want it, Even with the hold downs all loosened, it holds on, but will move when you push it, a good feature. It's set into the top clamp instead of just laying on the top of the bar, so it is held firmly with the top clamp The bottom of the clamp is coated so it doesn't want to slip either. The tighten down knobs are big enough to be able to easily use, but not so big as to get in the way of the tie down straps. The straps themselves have a piece of material at the buckle that protects the car surface from being scratched by the buckle. The saddles themselves where they support the kayak are also rubber and flex to the shape of the kayak. My kayak is wider in the middle than in the front and I could position each saddle to give maximum distributed support. With J-bars you don't have that option as my friends show me, but they use the J-bars so they can put two kayaks on their vehicle. I have just the one. I had planned on using a J-bar rack for the kayak. With a J-bar you need to pick the entire kayak up, over your head and put it down on the J-bars. With the saddles you can leave the back end on the ground and lift the front end up onto the CRV. A hint I found online is to get a small rubberised rug and put it on the vehicle and then put the front of the kayak onto the rug. This protects the vehicle but more importantly you can more easily slide the kayak onto the saddles . This makes it an easy one person job to get the kayak on or off the vehicle. The goods came packaged like a mummy, very protected.

Great little feet for all types of 🛶! Took them on a 3 hour journey and worked beautifully. the instructions were vague, at best . I measured roughly the width of the boat at where I figured the feet would be, and then installed the feet at that width apart on the bars . Worked perfectly. The rubber on the feet is sticky, which is great but can be hassle if alone. I'm sure this can be fixed with a sock or something, but I just kinda wiggled it on there. The flex in the rubber allow the kayak to cradle the boat. The straps that come with the feet are ok, at best. Again, no clear description on using them so I went to YouTube to see how to properly tiedow a kayak with straps. The straps could be of better quality, I will look into Thule ones instead. After a long trip, it's safe to say I am very glad I bought them. I won't be using them more than a few times a year, so this was a great buy for me. Storage is just 4 feet! No space at all!

The kayak roof rack is exactly what we needed. The cradle can be tilted toward the side of the car while you load the kayak, then move back once the kayak is on top of the car. We were able to drive the car (mid-size SUV) into the garage with the kayak on top of the cradle, which we were not able to do with the stand-up type of kayak holder.

I was nervous about purchasing these because my cross bars are 3" wide and specs say can fit up to 3.5" cross bars, which is cutting it a little close, but they fit perfectly! Traveled 3 times with my kayak so far and very happy with my purchase. I read another review that suggested to use small towels (I bought microfiber cleaning cloths at Walmart for $1) to place on cradles so the kayak will slide easier on and off and that helped a lot, then I just pull them out when ready to travel.

I was having trouble getting my kayak onto J bars on top of my truck by myself. These make i easy to slide it on from the bed. The straps are kinda lame, so I use my Thule straps from my J bars and that work really good.

Great way to stabilize and mount your kayak on vehicle roof racks. These fit nicely on our Audi Q7 roof racks. We are transporting a 13 ft, 2 person Kayak using these mounts. Given the Kayak length, we still secure the front and rear of the Kayak. Recommended product and Seller.

Good quality. Holds my Pelican Catch120 NXT wonderfully. Straps that come with it are not very good though. But you can get Malone straps for 15$ Overall great product.

Easy to install! Held 14ft canoe in place without any problem however the straps provided were too short to fit around the canoe and side rails. Was grateful that my husband picked up longer tie down ratchet straps!

Sturdy. I have a 110 lb kayak that it holds well with strap.

For an inexpensive do-it-yourself are these are excellent
