Just what I needed!

My main reason for buying this was to help block the wind while cooking. Love that it hangs off the back and does just that! Cooking on the flat top can be challenging on windy days, which I deal with often at the campground. Love that it also gives added protection under the cover when not in use. Love my blackstone griddle and glad I ordered this top

Worth the expense.

This really works great in my application. The hard cover can be put back on the grill hot. The two hooks work well to hang the top when the grill is in use.

I love this thing.

This thing is bad ass. Would recommend the lid, the spatula set and get a infrared thermometer to use so you know exactly what temps are in each zone. I didnt know my model came with a paper towel holder, and i saw the cutting board thing, but didnt pay it any mind. Now that i have it, the paper towel holder is extremely convenient and i would want that on one that i bought. The cool thing about the cutting board is that a grocery sack can hang underneath because they provided hooks just for that purpose. The hole in the cutting board is big enough to just slide the cores and waste products from say an onion or peppers right into the lil trash sack.

Covers that grill

We bought a flat top and a flat top canvas cover, but didn't think about the fact that the oil from the flat top will touch the canvas. We got this hard cover to prevent the grease from touching the canvas. It works great. As a bonus, the cover has some tabs that allow you to hang it off the back of the grill while you're cooking. Fits perfectly on top and even allows the canvas cover to fit as well.

Protect your investment

I highly recommend purchasing this item! I liked it so much, I purchased a 2nd one for a friend, who received his grill for father's day. I purchased the trap cover, which protects the grill from dust; however the tarp will sag and stick to the seasoned plate. With the lid cover, it will keep the tarp from touching the grill. AWESOME purchase!!

Great H.D. Cover

The cover made the trip safe and well packed to my house...I did order several other items so the cover was doubled boxed...( I have learned to do this ...it helps)..The cover is thicker then I expected and it has a nice black finish...the handles are a nice satin stainless steel color... AND It fits the griddle well...Blackstone products are very nice...My 28" grill is going to be assemble later today.

I've wanted one of these for some time, and just now found them in stock. Still out of stock on the Blackstone web site. This fit my 36" grill perfectly. It even covered the drip trough which was one of my worries. The two handles are very convenient, and it also has 2 hanging brackets on the underside of the handles that allows you to hang the lid off the back of the grill. This is very nice, as it acts as a wind block from behind, which if you're familiar with this grill, you'll know wind can be an issue and significantly cool the temps when cooking. YEs, it will get a little hot. Don't touch it, and you won't get burned. I wondered about it holding during bad weather, but we've had wind and rain since I installed it and no problems at all. I will however eventually get a bungee strap to put across it just in case. I don't want to find it in my neighbors yard, all bent up. I may put a brick or two on it, but I'll paint them first. Don't want to scratch it. It's sort of thin metal, but I expected that for the price, and you really don't want something so heavy it 's hard to lift, like the griddle itself. I highly recommend this item. Only thing I wish they had was colors. Stainless steel or red or blue. But, maybe later on.

Works great for cold weather climates and rain

Love this lid just purely from the standpoint if the weather takes a turn for the worse (snow or rain) I can clean off the griddle and cover it up while it's still hot as to not get it to form rust from the moisture. I have a soft cover as well but couldn't throw that on while the griddle was still hot and had to wait for it cool off first. As a result any rain or snow moisture would collect on the surface prior to covering it which leads to a rusty griddle.

Protects your Griddle

Even though I still use the cover, this really does protect the cast iron griddle from the elements. It fit perfect. We experienced a hard downpour of rain with thunderstorms. Next day I checked my BlackStone. I was so pleased I cooked on it. The black cover doesn’t do anything but block it from the sun & my furry 4 legged babies from being greedy & nosy. Also, I do like how it hangs off the back. If you don’t have a wind guard to prevent the pilots being blown out this does help being in the back. That being said, you just have to have it positioned right being that the sides aren’t covered, only the backside with this top.
