Snap, crackle, pop - so far so good

I just got this thing this evening. I have been plagued with fruit flies for months and I've tried several brands of fly strips and the apple cider vinegar with dish soap thing. I was able to get them in to remission but they kept coming back. This time nothing was working so I thought I'd try this device. It has been popping since I plugged it in and I haven't been swarmed with fruit flies so it seems to be a good start. It definitely attracts bugs. I have it next to a window and the outside of the window looks like one of those horror movies where your windows get coated with bugs. Yuck but at least they are on the outside. It is pretty loud. I can hear it snap from downstairs.

Great item to rid of flys

Wow this solved my fly problem almost in 1 day. So we had flys come in with the kids leaving the screen doors open and trying to swat them was getting old. I bought this after reading the reviews and very very pleased so far. The sound of the POP was from the first zapped was so welcomed. I have not seen a fly since and if I did I'm sure this would draw them right in to handle them.

I love this thing!

My desk is near the front door of my house. Every time the door is opened, some kind of insect will fly in. I work from home and am at my desk most of the day, and these uninvited insects keep biting me. I placed this bug zapper close to my desk, and this things zaps them all day long. Every day, there are freshly dead insect bodies littering the floor all around the zapper. Those are all the critters that used to torture me. Now, they're dead. This was one of the best things I have ever bought.

Works for mosquitos and flies

Kills A LOT of flying no-see-ums.

Unit is well built, solid feel. Kills A LOT of little flying critters. Clean-up is a little inconvenient, because about 20% of the killed critters explode and land up to 2 feet away, all around the unit. 5% remain stuck to the electrocution grid, and the remainder drop just fine into the little removable tray in the bottom. The big bold this thing makes when killing a bug is SO satisfying . This thing was the cheapest (at the time) out of about a dozen or so very similar units... Quite satisfied with this purchase, would buy again... and would recommend it to others.

This works really well. Bought one for the lake cottage because flys, fruitflies, and gnats have been really bad this year. Didn't think it would be very effective during the day, but the light is powerful enough to attract bugs when the sun is up. Going to buy another one for my house to see how it does with the pantry moths that hatch out of my parrots food.

The zapping sound is LOUD. So loud that it is scary at first, but then you get used to it and start to looking forward to the zapping sounds. I cannot help to sing Another One Bites the Dust whenever another annoying bug is zapped.

Wow does This Thing Work

This bug zapper really works great. I live in Hawaii and thought we were getting bitten with mosquitos indoors. But I could not see the Mosquitos. Once I got this bug zapper, it started killing gnats with great frequency, and guess what...No More Bites. None at all. It has also zapped some mosquitos. But gnats are apparently the guys that are able to get through the window screens. Sometimes, it gets so many gnats in a short period, that it sounds like a machine gun. The onlly downsize is the noise scares our dog. Otherwise it is great and highly recommended.

Tiabo bug zapper did the job

Our indoor salad garden was overtaken by fungus gnats thanks to some infected plants a friend brought over. The gnat population was completely out of control. We manually cleaned up all we could but the room was still buzzing with little winged gnats so we set up this bug zapper and it attracted and killed almost all but one or two. Tonight will be another 'purge'. We tried the other kind of zapper with the subtle blue lights, quiet but just not efficient at all compare to this zapper. Thank you!

Works great on houseflies

We had a strange (and gross) housefly invasion just before Thanksgiving. I bought this and within 24 hours they were gone! A few baby ones appeared, but this zapper got them. We found the most bug zaps were occurring at dawn and dusk. This was the only light in the room, other than a window. So if someone is having trouble with this zapping critters, try eliminating other light sources. It makes a loud zap when it gets one. Scared my dog and bird. But at least that keeps them from going near it. Glad I purchased it. Worth the money for a chemical free way to get rid of houseflies.
