Wow!! I am really impressed with this globe. I purchased it to show our children where all the countries are and where we have been traveling. I wanted something that was good quality but did not expect it to be this good!! Its really solid, very clear to read and has the really awesome feature of showing the start constellations when its plugged in at night. The shipping was extremely fast and it even came with a gift globe keychain and compass that I was able to give to my boys. They were really excited to receive the extra gifts which was definitely unexpected. Overall this globe is a 5 out of 5 I am very happy with it and use it all the time.

Wonderful globe!

This was a birthday present for my 5 year old grandson. He is really into the world and wanted a globe for his birthday. This globe was the best gift at the party. I bought the atlas to go along with it and he is enjoying that too, The fact that is shows the constellations is a new adventure and learning time for him. Best gift at the party!

An excellent gift for a 7-yr old girl.

My 7-yr old girl loves the globe especially when I turned on the globe showing the stars in a dark room. She said, "This is awesome". Also, she was fascinated with the compass that came with the globe. She was able to relate the north of the compass with the north of the globe. I also showed her the 24 longitude lines that corresponds to the number of hours in a day. She asked me where the 'big dipper is. Oh, well! By the way, I, myself, am enjoying the globe. I would pay a higher price if the globe came with a book about stars, earth itself, and also a summary of the the countries with their capital, population, etc.

beautiful and readable

We both have trouble reading small print. We were delighted that we could easily read the place names on this globe. As a bonus, the globe is beautiful. Colors are pretty. Stand is nice looking and seems sturdy. We'll keep it next to our breakfast table so we can consult it as we read the paper.

Great all around globe plus extras

Ordered two globes from two different companies but I had to return both due defective items. I searched based on reviews and came across this one. Though it didn't have as many reviews as the first two, I went ahead and ordered a globe. I was pleasantly surprised at the sturdy packaging and how clean and organized it was. I was even more satisfied with the globe. It's a nice size. Very sturdy and clear writing. The base is heavy enough to keep the globe secure in one place. We love the constellation when the light is turned on. My daughter uses it as a night light as well. Nice that the light is LED unlike the first two. I'm glad the first two from the other companies were a lemon or else I would not have come across this one. Thank you for making such a great product. BTW, love that it came with a globe keychain and compass.

Good quality and weighted base.

This globe was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 7-year old grandson. He has yet to receive it, but it looks to be of good quality and as described. I like the weight of the base and the way it turns. The constellations can be seen during the day as well as in a darkened room.
