- ✿ WHY CHOOSE this yarn swifter - metal parts are thicker, sturdier than green ones. Dimensions: 21" x 19" x 17". The storage case is 17.5" x 2" x 2" (prevents it damaging by delivery and keeps it clean)
- ✿ WHAT'S THE ADVANTAGE - can be set up either horizontally or vertically! Better shaped, much lighter than the Wood Swift. Can be kept mounted on a table easily along with yarn ball winder.
- ✿ The table clamp or clip is 1.75" (use it on a table thinner than 1.75"/4.5cm), which holds the swift in place and spins freely as you wind skeins. The clamp doesn't love rounded edged table. It stays put fine, but not quite as strongly anchored as on an angular-edged table. Note the clamp will leave marks on a wood table. Cover with something protective.
- ✿ The metal construction means this knitting yarn swift folds up more compact than the wood ones. It's very light and easy to work with. The end is designed so you can put the swift at any angle you want. Once you figure out how to use the clamp it's easy to set up either horizontally or vertically. The size is easy to adjust and it runs smoothly. If you have limited table space, you can use this hanging off the table, without it getting in the way.
- ✿ The yarn swift tabletop is a workhorse. We have used the yarn swifts with different yarn weights from lace to Aran, and wound scads of skeins of everything from crochet cotton size 10 to a heavy worsted, and it's worked for all. It can rock a little when using the top handle, but nothing to make you discard it. You can use it to unravel sweaters from thrift shops to reuse the yarn (cashmere, wool, alpaca). We unravel the sweater directly to the swift, creating 60" hanks.

Perfect for travel and workshops!
After many years of hard use, I had to replace my first swift. It's durable, lightweight, easy to set up and use. Best of all, it comes with a nice case. You just throw it in your project tote an you are good to go.

No more hand winding!
I’m new to yarn craft and bought this to wind my yarn based on reviews. I don’t have a basis of comparison, but as a new crafter, this was easy to use. Love that it comes with a storage case.

It works!!!
I pulled the swift out of the nice blue plastic carrying case and easily set it up. I wound my first cake of yarn and excitedly told my husband he just lost his job of holding my yarn. Needless to say he was please!!! The swift unwrapped my yarn smoothly and easily. I was impressed. My table does not have a straight edge but none the less the swift held tight. I'm tickled with this purchase.

Love my Swift
I received my product in the time as promised. I quickly unwrapped it and put it to use. I am over the top thrilled with it. It performs very well. I invited a friend over and we both had a party while winding all the yarn we could find to wind. Love my Swift! Thank you for a great product 😀

Best Swift for the money
I have owned one of these Swift’s for years. I bought a second one for a second home. These are a great buy for the price. I have two other much more expensive wooden swifts but this one spins better than the bigger wooden ones. It is my “go to” first choice. The only drawback is when an occasional hank of yarn has a larger diameter than the swift, but this is a rare occurrence. My first swift like this is over 25 years old and it still works great even with almost daily use.

Good winder at a great price.
Bought this to go with a ball yarn winder. It works reliably and the case is a nice touch to protect it while storing it. It winds smoothly and is easy to setup and store.

Lightweight, Sturdy, great hard plastic storage box! Love it!
I recently started buying silk yarn that comes in a Hank, and I needed a way to make it into a ball. I tried the “put it around your knees” method, and after much frustration I bought this yarn Swift. It comes in a lovely, sturdy plastic box so I don’t have to worry it will get broken, and the Swift itself is quite sturdy. I am extremely happy with my purchase!

Works great and as expected
Great value for the price, works exactly as expected, just remember to guide the yarn with your hand between the swift and the winder to prevent tangles.

Works great!
It's not the strongest it could be, but for the price, I wasn't expecting that. That being said, it's not let me down yet and has been plenty sturdy for my needs. I didn't think I would have used it until I got a hank of yarn I needed to ball, but although I haven't had a hank to use on it yet, I've found it an invaluable companion to my yarn winder as it's much easier to correct issues with a skein while loading it on this swift than while I'm trying to wind it into a cake. So far, the most I've put on it at one time was 10.3 ounces, and it handled that without issue. It spins smoothly and flawlessly, and while the plastic handle on top isn't super strong, it's more than sturdy enough for the use it will get. (note: the handle has a bend in it. That is not a flaw as another reviewer seemed to think, and it doesn't make it weaker; just be aware that it's there) The only problem I've had with it so far is that the rings that connect the holder rods to the center rods sometimes fall out of the hooks, but I think that's something I can correct myself by tightening the clamps with some pliers. This is something the maker might considering improving on, though it's a minor issue and only happens when expanding or contracting the swift, and does not have any impact during use. Just a minor nuisance. Additionally, due to the thinness of the center post and the clamping mechanism, it does wobble just a bit during use, but nothing that causes problems with use, and again, for the price, "works as described" means an awful lot. I don't know if this will give me years of heavy use, but at the price, if I have to replace it every year or two to wear, I'd say it's still a bargain, and I'd buy it again.

Worked like a charm
Purchased dozens of yarn hanks at local yarn shop that was closing. Used this with picknits spinner and spun all the hanks with no problems. Saved a fortune on this and the yarn! Can't wait to start my projects.
