I’ve had the very expensive brand that uses high-priced D cell batteries for several years. I saw these Aku Tonpa candles and was quite surprised at the price—3 candles for less than half the price I had paid for one. Even better, these candles use AA batteries. So you gotta wonder, with such a price difference, how good could these be? Well, I haven’t had them for very long, so I don’t know if they eat batteries or give up the ghost after a few months, but so far I’ve been so impressed by the quality that I’ve bought more. And the remote feature is great. **UPDATE: It's been almost 2 months, and my first set of 3 candles is still working on the same AA batteries. Yay!

Love these candles!!!!!!!

I have been trying to make the switch to flameless candles. About five years ago I bought my first ONE for $30. I have some lanterns that were needing flameless candles. After searching Amazon I came up with these 3 (in a pack) which was exactly what I needed for amazing value. They came promptly and I have been using the remote to turn them on and off every night! People comment on how nice they are, they look like real candles with the way they flicker and I will definitely buy them again. Great candles for an incredible value!

I am so pleased with the size and quality of these candles. I especially love the fact that I can just turn them off and on with the remote as well as adjust the brightness of the "flame" and set them on a timer. An excellent product that I would certainly buy again.

Loved these so much I ordered another set ! When the room is darkened your brain really thinks you are seeing a flame ! It's great !

Realistic

This is my third set of faux candles, and my favorite by far. They are realistic enough to fool someone unless they get really close. I like that they are large candles; the others are much smaller in size. I initially thought the remote was overkill, but quickly decided that it was a nice way to quickly turn all three on or off, or make any adjustments.

visually gorgeous

These are totally beautiful, and the most realistic faux candles i've seen ... one little glitch is that if you have a dozen of them on in a room it's like a tiny choir of soft crickets is all around you ... but i actually kind of find it soothing ... and the realism of the candles is mindblowing, so i don't really mind the little sounds ... they are totally gorgeous and realistic in their candle mimicry One of the candles just stopped working after about a week or two ...

I like the real wax and they’re convenient

Look great. Love that I don’t have to keep replacing candles now. A little confused on how the “timer” works. Not sure if it’s supposed to just turn off after 2h or if it turns off and automatically comes back on the next day. Just need to actually experiment with it and put reminders on my phone to actually check. The remote is definitely nice over having to individually turn them on and off on the bottom, but I find I have to hold the remote pretty close to get it to work. Not a problem for where I have them but I could see wanting to put them in a somewhat inaccessible place and I would be concerned that the remote might not transmit far enough.

Great item

The quality of those flameless candles are just great. Very nice packing to ensure there's no damages during the shipment. Remote control works pretty well too. You can adjust the brightness in couple settings, with few options of timer. It is really worth for the price, and I sure would like to get another set for the bathroom.
